Not going to lie but I found the music, scenery and actions shots all combined felt really emotional to me!! I was not expecting that sort of reaction so thank you
Absolutely love the ride with you. Can’t imagine being there myself. I like the nice music. You added to a lot of portions of your video. It felt right!
@@thelikeablerider8800 I find you don't realise how scary it is until you play back the footage - imagine being a pillion, free to admire the 500 foot unbarriered drop a few feet away! ;-)

It's up there with the best of them! I find coming down always more nerve racking, but you catch more of the views that way. Going up is easier to ride but you'd missing a lot of those amazing views.
I never really pay attention to where I am🤦♂️🤣 and I'll only remember being there on another visit! Altgough a few years ago I started buying stickers from every pass I'd been on, they're stuck in my gear wardrobe in the garage.
Did the Gavia about 15 years ago and like Peter below, it was in thick cloud. At least you couldn't see the drops 😄. You're right about doing too many passes in one day. I stayed in Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites a few years ago and on a ride out did several passes in one day, was absolutely shattered when I got back to the hotel.

Brought back some good memories there seeing Gavia again on your instagram post a couple of days ago. Not so much for my wife who was convinced we were about to die coming around every corner.
Hi Shaun, a big thank you for making my Sunday morning! Went up the Gavia from South to North about 2 months ago. But we climbed it up on a rainy and rather very misty day - after leaving the trees level our view limited to 30-50m; further up only 10m sometimes. Hardly can imagine how we would dealt this pass without Navi - Properly might have missed some of the hairpins up there.😵💫 Anyway, thanks for this video giving me the stunning views we hoped for but missed due to that foggy condition. Please keep going creating this fascinating footage.
Wow Shaun, truly epic day. The kind of trip that I yearn for. Awesome work with the prod aswell. Really liked this one. I must go there. just a like doesn't feel that it covers it 😃

Fantastic scenery, Shaun! As you do trips like this and get more acquainted with the new bike, I wonder if there are any things that would make for an updated video about the 2021. The reason I ask is, I have just ordered a new gen ('23 XR M). I am coming from a '17 XR and wondered how the new relationship is coming along. Keep up the good work, Sean 😉
I used to use the mic adapter from gopro, but had many problems with it. I'm now using the Zoom F2 which is an awesome bit of kit, but like video it still needs editing and tweeking👍😜
You're more than welcome! Probably still have it on PC, but the route will be full of other stuff from the trip. This was from the Stelvio SS38 South picking up the SS300 to the Gavia Pass.
Beautiful views. Great video. Question for you and if you covered this before sorry I may have missed it. What software are you using on your phone (not sure if it is an iPhone or Android) that is recording with the cardo system? I would love to have that instead of an extra mic in the helmet. Thanks and keep the videos coming. Love your bike.
Thanks very much👍 I use the Zoom F2 audio recorder which still uses an external mic in the helmet. The F2 BT version has Bluetooth which means you can control everything over the app (which you see running in the video) it works great as it can just stay put in my jacket pocket👍
Superb video I’ve just started vlogging and can see I’ve a long way to go. Couple of questions is the 360 a useful tool and how long long do you suggest a vid to last Yours is superbly put put together. Can’t wait to see the next episode 😊
I love the 360! A lot of people didn't like them at first, but think they're warming to it. As long as you don't go mental with constantly spinning the camera view, it works well for me. I would suggest keeping your vids shorter at first, you'll find only regular viewer will watch longer content. Keep an eye on the analytics to make sure your going forwards and not backwards, but ultimately just make the content that you want to make. Getting hang up on the numbers (which we all do) will make things become a chore!
Damn, I always think that your 2-lane roads are narrow (camera trick on my brain) but at about the 11:30 point of the video when you are saying the road is narrow and are wondering how 2 cars pass each I'm cringing every time a bike comes the other way.
Brilliant ride Shaun. Amazing video. I am in the planning stage of my euro tour next year. Watching you do this, Cant wait. Do you pre book your hotels or just book them on the fly?
Cheers Dude👌😎 On previous Tours I'd pre book, but this one I completely winged it and really enjoyed it.
