Texans fan tuning in here. I’ve always been a fan of Baker. He definitely has the competitiveness in him and puts his all on the field. That being said, Baker did his job. Especially with the Bucs last scoring drive. Had me worried a bit after throwing that perfect TD over the Texans defenders head.
Both Baker and Bowles need to go. Baker had a good game overall vs what? A JV rebuilding Texans defense that were missing starters. He had 250 yards with 2 TDs and a 62 QBR vs THAT?!!? While having Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in the lineup? The 3rd Quarter alone showed why Baker should've been benched as we only had 19 yards of offense in it which gave the Texans momentum. Thats pathetic and shouldn't be congratulated or called a great game.

Bad clock management, bad situational calls, no adjustments once the Texans started going across the middle, scared to play press man with safeties deep once we showed we could stop the run without blitzing, he's just a terrible all around head coach/defensive coordinator. Even in past yrs the stats were decent but if you watched the games you would wonder how this defense was considered "elite"
Our offense is getting better but our defense seems to be regressing......450 yards passing.... without a legitimate pass rusher....our secondary is getting torched

First of all congratulations to the Texans!!! They played a hell of a game and came out on top. Took advantage of the mistakes that were made and capitalized. I like Baker. He did a great job today. I say this before watching the vid cause I want to share my immediate thoughts 1. Offensive play calling is questionable 2. This was a fluke performance by our defense 3. Todd Bowles will likely be fired by end of season for dropping the division lead so badly, and if he doesn’t win games they should win 4. I’m terrified the Bucs have middle of the pack success to the point where they resign baker to start. If we’re not winning the division and there are no bright sides of success in the passing game, he shouldn’t be the starter. I really hope the bucs turn this around. But even if they’re 6-11/7-10, are they really one draft away from improving this current team?

The game losing play was Todd Bowles taking the timeout to avoid the 10 second runoff that literally lost the game. If Bowles doesn’t piss down his leg on that call the entire narrative of this game changed to how well Baker played in clutch time leading the game winning drive. Instead we are talking about Strouds record setting day and everyone still calling for Baker to be gone and Bowles (rightfully) fired. Texans fan: I don’t think it was an embarrassing loss. I actually think it was a great game that the Texans just came out on top of yesterday. I thought Baker was washed,I was wrong he clearly has fuel left in the tank although the defense didn’t play great yesterday (which some credit needs to be given to the Texans they’re better than a lot of ppl think CJ is him) but the Bucs have a great defense that alongside what baker showed me yesterday the Bucs could win the nfc south
The main thing that really irrated me was at the end of the first half with more than two minutes to play and 3 timeouts Bowles just lets the time go and doesn't save any time on the clock for his offense to maybe get some extra points at the end of the half. Well, we had the "good" Baker today, but that was against a god awful defense. Heck Rachaad White nearly had 80 yards on the ground - from the worst rushing attack in the NFL. Saying the offense played well today isn't really saying too much. Our secondary was burnt toast, though - they got shellacked. I still say that Baker needs to sit and Trask needs to get some actual playing time, though. I'm tired of the Jeckyl and Hyde play of Baker.
This wasn't on the coach. Literally, the defense couldn't put pressure on CJ. You can call the plays but if the players don't execute it, then what can you do. I was literally at that game. Secondly was blowing up coverages. The last seconds zyon played flats in the last seconds instead of playing 15 yards back. It's obvious that they need to score. So why give up the deepest pass.
I was at the game and I re-watched it when I got home Todd bowles 100% lost when Palmer caught and fumbled it to Mike the ball was on the 14 the score was 30 to 33 with :39 seconds and bowls elected to take the time out to save 10 more seconds which put 49 seconds on the clock why you should be burning the and trying to score they score the very next play leaving 46 seconds on the clock the Texans made it to the 15 yd line with 10 seconds left on the clock then they threw a touchdown the game would have been over our coach lost us that game on his time management not counting how bad his secondary played
Everyone who lost to the Texans this season so far keep calling it an embarrassment, the Texans are in 2nd place in their division so yeah it’s a looong shot but if they end up making the playoffs would it still be an embarrassing loss?
Best the offense has look all year, granted the Texans had a depleted secondary. Defense was extremely disappointing. This team has lost 3 games in a row by 1 possession and team seems to still be engaged because they see some positives to build upon. It’s year 1 on a new offensive scheme and owners know this, nobody is getting fired…..

4. I’m terrified the Bucs have middle of the pack success to the point where they resign baker to start. If we’re not winning the division and there are no bright sides of success in the passing game, he shouldn’t be the starter.
I really hope the bucs turn this around. But even if they’re 6-11/7-10, are they really one draft away from improving this current team?

I listed the remaining tickets for this year up for sale. Call me a bad fan all you want, but I'm not wasting my Sundays to watch a losing team. I'd rather spend time with my family, or hell, even cleaning up the house. I'd rather a blowout loss over sitting through 2 games in a row down to the last second. 2 plays away from being 5-3...... a total shame, but again, these are teams we should have beat.

I can't believe Bowles used a time out to save a 10 second run off when there was 49/39 seconds left and we were in striking distance. Let the clock drop, we still have time to run a few plays with a T.O left. Horrible game management.

The game losing play was Todd Bowles taking the timeout to avoid the 10 second runoff that literally lost the game. If Bowles doesn’t piss down his leg on that call the entire narrative of this game changed to how well Baker played in clutch time leading the game winning drive. Instead we are talking about Strouds record setting day and everyone still calling for Baker to be gone and Bowles (rightfully) fired. The game losing TD came with the exact 10 seconds he needlessly saved.

Texans fan: I don’t think it was an embarrassing loss. I actually think it was a great game that the Texans just came out on top of yesterday. I thought Baker was washed,I was wrong he clearly has fuel left in the tank although the defense didn’t play great yesterday (which some credit needs to be given to the Texans they’re better than a lot of ppl think CJ is him) but the Bucs have a great defense that alongside what baker showed me yesterday the Bucs could win the nfc south

The main thing that really irrated me was at the end of the first half with more than two minutes to play and 3 timeouts Bowles just lets the time go and doesn't save any time on the clock for his offense to maybe get some extra points at the end of the half. Bowles just stopped playing football at the end of the first half for whatever reason. Stupid stupid stupid
Its sad to see from the pov of the Buccaneers. Baker played awesome and gave them the lead. But then, this is the second game in 3 weeks where he gives them a lead, and then the defense loses it in 46 seconds or less lol the defense has got to step up because Baker aint Mahomes. He is a good to above average qb, thats not someone who can carry a defense let alone a team. Hopefully the defense makes some changes becauae this division is still winnable. Saints are in 1st atm but Tampa smacked them. Wouldn't be suprised if yall do it again.
Well, we had the "good" Baker today, but that was against a god awful defense. Heck Rachaad White nearly had 80 yards on the ground - from the worst rushing attack in the NFL. Saying the offense played well today isn't really saying too much. Our secondary was burnt toast, though - they got shellacked. I still say that Baker needs to sit and Trask needs to get some actual playing time, though. I'm tired of the Jeckyl and Hyde play of Baker.

You're right there. Baker has been playing better than Brady's last 2 seasons. Baker can actually throw to receivers instead of behind them.
This wasn't on the coach. Literally, the defense couldn't put pressure on CJ. You can call the plays but if the players don't execute it, then what can you do. I was literally at that game. Secondly was blowing up coverages. The last seconds zyon played flats in the last seconds instead of playing 15 yards back. It's obvious that they need to score. So why give up the deepest pass.
I was at the game and I re-watched it when I got home Todd bowles 100% lost when Palmer caught and fumbled it to Mike the ball was on the 14 the score was 30 to 33 with :39 seconds and bowls elected to take the time out to save 10 more seconds which put 49 seconds on the clock why you should be burning the and trying to score they score the very next play leaving 46 seconds on the clock the Texans made it to the 15 yd line with 10 seconds left on the clock then they threw a touchdown the game would have been over our coach lost us that game on his time management not counting how bad his secondary played
Everyone who lost to the Texans this season so far keep calling it an embarrassment, the Texans are in 2nd place in their division so yeah it’s a looong shot but if they end up making the playoffs would it still be an embarrassing loss?

Best the offense has look all year, granted the Texans had a depleted secondary. Defense was extremely disappointing. This team has lost 3 games in a row by 1 possession and team seems to still be engaged because they see some positives to build upon. It’s year 1 on a new offensive scheme and owners know this, nobody is getting fired…..
