Glory Kidd I feel like the easiest was get a clean kill after you call the animal because it doesn’t have to be a 3 just has to stay the same star but I’m not a very good hunter so that’s probably why

THERE IS NO TIMER! You have to do it consecutively, which means don’t kill any animals in between both kills.

advice: black bone forest to the very left of the map by the trapper. this area is chock full of animals. boars are predators. they won’t attack you but they are skittish as herbivores tho, so stock up on your cover scent lotion. lure one, kill it. locate some deer, elk, or bighorn sheep. lure, kill. i did this in about 3 minutes. you’re right by the trapper so if you run out of bait, just go buy some. super convenient
Wow. I uh, feel dumb. Didn't realize you got so much time. Last time I did this I lured a cougar and deer to the same place and shot them both. Took a lot longer than this
Bruh this challenge is fucking impossible
for anyone having trouble, near the area he's in for the herbivor animals, there are horses, and they will be attracted to the bait like other animals, so you can kill a horse and it will count towards the challenge

I can’t believe that I didn’t realize it was two consecutive kills. I have been so frustrated, thought it was glitched. I had been trying to kill an herbivore and a predator with 1 bait one after the other. Thanks!

You can use 1 bait one after the other. The problem is there's a time limit. The video is garbage for not saying so. The game should also say so. The 1 good thing about the video is that it shows us that if you get the kills within 2 mins 25 seconds you will complete the challenge.
I was working on this challenge for HOURS and had a herbivore kill, laid some predictor bait for a grizzly bear and right when I was about to shoot it another grizzly attacked me and killed me smh
Did this in Cholla Springs. I killed a cougar and a horse. Horsey was at the wrong place at the wrong time!
i do the first part with the herbivore bait then i put predator bait down and then BOOM. thunderstorm appears from nowhere after having no cloud in sight
Hi hope this helps anybody when doing this challenge. do it along the road in west elizabeth right before where the trapper and cougar are located. After you lure/kill a herbivore sit a couple predator baits down where it died dont move the body and wait

People who are failing in this location, put the bait further away from the roads.

guys the trick is to find the herbivore or predator than place the bait near them and kill them when they get close
What I was hoping for in a guide was spawn locations.. not "hey look guys I did it".
Tried for 2 hours in this exact spot and didn’t get it went near catfish Jackson and got it in 5 minutes I think my game was bugged because no predators were getting attracted
Cairn Lake up near Colter is the best location for this. Plant the bait, then head back up on the cliff that’s right above the lake. Wait for any animal to come and do your thing… use the same spot for predator and for herbivore.
Killed 12 so far , it keeps popping up on the screen saying i got my 1st one smfh, spawned a moose there btw

@@Outland9000 The trapper wants 4 Perfect Moose Pelts. I completed this yesterday using a description the hammer6 posted at the reddit page "Moose spawns are broken."
I've tried to restate his method:
1) See on the map at Lake Isabella there's the Legendary buffalo
2) Just NW of the Legendary buffalo is a bird (an eagle or crow)
3) Camp W of the bird but on the E side of Lake Isabella
4) Sleep until morning
5) dismantle the camp
6) save the game
7) NW of the bird the path crosses the stream that feeds Lake Isabella. Sprint up there
8) W of the bird & near the edge of the map is a broken down hut. It's S of the bear's mouth.
9) go around the back of the hut. (i always moved southwards as i went around the back of the hut but it doesn't matter?)
10) note the Western most part of Lake Isabella. It looks like a letter C
11) start slowly riding directly toward the letter C
12) Hammer6 says: as you walk towards the C, if the moose isn't there, _"I can stop and look off to my left for a couple of seconds & when I look back, the moose has usually spawned, so it appears that it doesn't spawn if you're looking right at it so you don't see "suddenly, moose", but if you look off & you're far enough away, the moose will pop"_
13) If my moose wasn't 3* or I screwed something up, I'd just reload my save and do it all again.

14th attempt: 3 star moose (it moved as i pulled the trigger thus the bullet missed the neck & i ended up shooting it twice reducing it to 1 star)
15th attempt: nothing (2 Gray Wolves)
16th attempt: 2 star moose
17th attempt: 2 star moose
i stopped placing waypoints
18th attempt: nothing (2 Gray Wolves)
19th attempt: 2 star moose
20th attempt: 3 star moose (it couldn't run away due to the 2 Gray Wolves)
i used a Springfield rifle with regular bullets. So it's about 10 attempts per Perfect Moose Hide = 40 attempts overall. Still much faster than riding along the snow to the 3 lakes for days
@@alwaysdisputin9930 I got western moose at John's ranch. I placed herbivore bait 'tween the cross roads and 3 times in a row it popped up. I have never seen one.
Black bone forest worked best for me.
Got an elk and crouch ran away for a bit and planted predator bait and a fox came along, using improved arrows to avoid making noise.
I literally lured and killed a bear and then did the same thing to a pronghorn right after but still 1 of fking 2

Most challenges are confusing, such as this on it says, "Use bait to kill a predator and herbivore consecutively", that means you have to kill the predator first then the herbivore.........lol. Some of the challenges are changed since 3 years ago.

I had to kill a horse for this challenge 😭
Killed both within 1:30 of each other and it didnt count, but this guy kills them 2:20 apart and it counts...
My dumbass got all the way here just to think I had to lure them both to one spot then kill them both back to back, had me trying for a good 30 min before I was like this shit ain't working, I got close but for some reason it would count the predator. I believe killing the herbivores spooked the predator hence them not being attracted to bait anymore lol. Anyway thanks for the vid lol
I had 1 of 2 and I thought the next animal was eating bait apparently it wasn't and it started me back to 0 of 2
FYI - Boars count as a predator, so I wen't to Black Bone Forest and lured one, then lured a deer. Took 5 minutes, hope this helps!
this was the place i did it as well. i was hunting cougars there for master hunter 6 and realized just how many animals are there. also realized that boars are considered predators when they helped me finish the “kill 9 predators from horseback” challenge. it’s so convenient. you’re right by the trapper if you run out of bait so you can just buy more
Coll guide. Tried like that exactly. Got 1 of 2 easy on herbivore. Then I went there for predator kill and RNG gods took offence apparently. First bait, fox comes close just crossing the road and a carriage comes by and scares the fox away. Second predator bait, another fox and a group of wild kentucky saddler horses appear from nowhere and run the fox away. Third bait, fox comes and another friggin' carriage too. Guess what happened. I decided to place fourth bait a bit further up and away from road. I place it and run away and get bitten by a snake. I kid you not... Took ginseng, waited a bit and it started to rain and no animals. I waited the rain out, not that long and placed another bait. This time a Boar appeared, ate the bait and got shot in the head. I'm not even goin' there anymore to pick it up. That place is cursed, I swear! :)

Fun fact did you know you can attract predators with dead herbivores? And if you have a animal on your horse it increases chances of bear cougar panther ect spawn

I did it in the heartlands. Predator bait first. A fox spawned. Then I used herbivore bait. 3 times in a row and only fucking horses spawned. So I thought "fuck it" and shot the third horse after scaring away the first two. Worked flawlessly. 😂

I just wasted 3 herbivore baits and two predator baits and didn’t have one animal go for anything. Tried day and night, all different areas. What can I possibly be doing wrong?

some people seem to be confused in the comments so let me just clear this up: BAIT DOES NOT SPAWN ANIMALS, it only lures in nearby animals, do not place a bait in a completely empty spot and expect to find anything

after killing literally everyone on the road i finally did this challenge, the area west of mount shann is a good spot for this if you stay away from the dolts on the road

You Just put out 1 or 2 Predator bait go 15 meter away bang bang 30 sec later, just move 100m and take 1 or 2 of the other bait bang bang 30 sec later mission done! Took me 5 minutes, Since you are here, how long did you use for the 5 Coyotes?? Took me a whole evening LOL!

i dont get it, i put down the 2 baits, same kind of area, ran away, waited, and waited and waited and waited some more, nothing came, had my cover scent on too ugh
the animals dont spawn out of thin air with bait, there has to be animals there, the bait is just to attract them to one spot. Hope this helps.

I just finished the cougar one after DAYS and now i got to deal with this. I don't know what you do to get animals to spawn so easily. For me when I place bait is like every animals gone extinct
Man you need just to go near the trapper in the very west of West Elizabeth and one will spawn. After killing it, sell the pelt, set a campfire, sleep and just save the game, close and restart it.

for me this challenge was so easy. I just went to a forest where there are a lot of bears and deers. Took me 3 mins to kill both
Omg with this damn challenge. A western moose just spawned out of nowhere for the herb bait lol, got it and then it started to rain just like every other fucking time I get the first one done. Seriously, not a cloud in sight, get the first one and then boom, always starts raining.

@Elysian Astrum Oh right. I hate the challenges in this game with a vengeance. The core gameplay is comically easy and requires nothing more than the left trigger and the right trigger to play but then you have these ridiculous challenges. I spent an infuriating amount of time trying to hunt down 5 cougars with a bow. Half of the challenges I've done already before they were unlocked. The whole thing is a massive timesink but I figured the master hunter one would at least be worth it because of the new animal to hunt but I would bet money that rockstar programmed the game to avoid spawning cougars in when you need them for the challenges and the same goes with bears. I don't know who came up with these ridiculous challenges like shoot the foreskin off of 3 albino nuns consecutively and get a tomahawk kill from 3 miles away. That's not even beginning to mention the algernon wasp mission where you need to collect 69 titty tulips and 172 banana orchids

Yes I agree, I placed the bait on the side of the path of the player and to the right so it’s closer to you as well.
To anyone having trouble with this challenge.
If you dont have any baits, buy them at any Trapper location. Then, go to an open area. I would recommend "The Heartlands" as it has a wide variety of animals.
When you spot a horde of deer, proghorns or any hervibore. Approach them while crouching as standing up or running towards them will spook them. (The same applies to predators.)
Place yourself at a considerable distance and set the bait while crouching still. Move further away from the bait and wait until the animal approaches, they will always stand very near and most of the times on the same spot where you placed the bait.
Wild boars are the most common predators spawning on that area. Just be patient.
Also, when the game tells you "Consecutively" it means that they have to be killed one after the other. It doesn't necessarily have to be on a short span of time between kills.
Do not shoot or kill any other animals in the wilderness/open as it will immediately restart your task. Only works when using bait between Hervibores and Predators.

KAOS NATION. I remember this game being very picky and specific with its challenges. Try doing it in opposite order as you did, You started with a herbivore and finished with a predator. But the challenge description says to kill a predator, then, a hervibore. Just be patient and the challenge will pop.
This is such a bullshit challenge
It took me 10 mins with this advice had to move locations once because of bounty hunters I also found it helpful to hide in a small bush or shrub for cover because the animals especially foxes are extremely observant and will sense danger this game is a masterpiece.

For anyone still struggling with this in 2021 - I can confirm that there is no time limit. What matters is that the kills aren't interrupted and that the animals are shot in the act of feeding on the bait. I killed a deer on the Hannover plains and then rode all the way to Lemoyne to get a boar for the predator bait. Probably a 5 minute gap and it still worked.

The fact that you were able to do this in the Heartlands, of all places, and immediately got 2 spawns is honestly impressive. 😂Makes me think maybe the game just hates me lol. In my experience, the best place to try this is the forest to the north of Strawberry. The one where the trapper is. Countless animals there and if you run out of bait, the resupply guy is right around the next tree. Just be wary of the cougar in the area.

@@CrazyDavey23 Yeah cougars tend to be elusive creatures. If I remember correctly there's like 3 spots on the whole map where they spawn at all, and not only are the spawn zones huge, they're also not reliable. 😫Master Hunter 6 gave me one hell of a headache as well. Only bright side is that after this one, every other challenge seems easy. Even the gambler challenges. 😂😂
@@CrazyDavey23 if you still trying to do ths you can force spawn a cougar every 5-10 mins - theres about 30-50m of road directly east of the trapper at the edge of the map in west elizabeth - it will ambush you whilst you travel the road as long as the body has despawned - best thing to do is kill, skin, and take to trapper, then camp for 3 days . if you get sleep timer then cook around 5-10 food to reset it
the exact part of the road is between the trapper and where it says 'big valley' - it doesnt go further down than where the road forks from the river thats coming down from the trapper
@leemills6825 So far, the most reliable spawn zone for me has been Annesburg. There's 2 possible cougars there: one on the beach or in the deforested area around the mine, both directly south of the settlement, and another one in the forests to the north. Now, the northern zone is _immense._ Anyplace in the area between Annesburg and Willard's Rest is a possible cougar spawn zone. Here's what I noticed though: at dawn, cougars in RDR2 seem to be near water, which lines up with their real life behavior of going for a drink after a night of hunting/stalking/mating etc. Whenever I hunt cougars in RDR2, I stealthily check the shores of the waterways in the 2 spawn zones I mentioned in the early morning hours. I got a lot more cougar kills with that method than any other I tried.
I hate this challenge so much. I just did the exact same thing on my own, but I guess according to the game the f**king fox wasn't eating the bait.
I've spent 10 times as long on this as I did on the cougar one. For some reason it's finicky AF

@@takeafuckinbus7873 LOOOL, nah mate, Roanoke Ridge to the North East has loads of cougars, found two in one ride down there, if I got of my horse I would have been dead. Literally I killed one then I saw one go on the railway tracks without a red dot appearing on the compass!

GunnerGameReviewer22 Yeah Roanoke is the best spot, but even with me riding around and sleeping, it took over an hour. Just stupid for there to be so many tedious things to pad out game time.
If anyone is having difficulties with this, it doesn’t matter what order you use the bait. I found it easier to use the predator bait first and it spawns a fox so quickly. It also helps if you kill it with improved arrows so you don’t scare any other animals away.

Rockstar have copped out with all these challenges based on spawning. It’s all good having a game that lasts 200 hours, but when 50 of those are spent waiting for the right animal to spawn, you’re just cheating out your customers and mugging them off.
Deniz Gunes Yeah, I get that. I wouldn’t mind so much if the animal was there and you just had to find it/wait for it. I’m on about the situations where the animal literally isn’t there at all and it won’t spawn until you reload. If you take Guarma for example, you can find either one or two snakes in a specific area in the trees. If they are not there when you get there, no matter how long you wait or if you run away and come back later, they will not appear. You have to reload the game. That was the bit I found frustrating. But as for what you said about the patience of hunting, I 100% agree.
Its worse with the gambling challenges. Theres one where you have to beat the blackjack dealer with two cards or something similar, which is really dumb because theres nothing you can do for that. You just have to sit there for 16 hours straight pressing the same three buttons until you get lucky. Its the dumbest thing ever

What does it mean by consecutive anyway? Like the next animal you kill after you successfully lured and killed the herbivore? Or in the next ten minutes you have a penalty until you have to do it all over again
Boars also count as predators! When I placed the predator bait at the second spot it attracted a boar for me, but it still counted as a predator and completed the challenge

Happended when i tried to lure a panther once. Kept attracting boars.
@Punch Down King I just completed the challenge by shooting a boar near the Big Valley trapper so you're wrong. I suspect that you didn't kill it within the time limit that the game & this video stupidly doesn't tell us about

Not A Try Hard they don’t spawn dumbass, when they see or smell the bait from a distance they come. The game is quite realistic

@@bonesdoonny13 everything spawns dumbass from animals to enemies that's how basic programing works, every time you travel somewhere the game spawns the animals and events.
The baits won’t make the animals spawn.
You have to put the baits in an area with animals.
I’ve tried to bait both herbivores & carnivores BUT it never works smh. I’ve been stuck on this mission for 2 days now 🤬😡
go northwest of Wallace station (guaranteed grizzly bear spawn every couple days), find the bear in dead eye and lay bait. after you've done the predator, do the much easier herbivore nearby cuz tons of deer spawn there too

Rain didn't affect the animals for me, just did it now and I killed a buck and a red fox no more than 10mins.

You’re a godsend, man. Thanks so much. Was trying to do this up by Cattail Pond (my usual hunting spot) because of the wolves and bears, and plenty of herbivores. Couldn’t get a thing. Got it done in three minutes flat with your method. Thanks so much!
