Just so everyone knows this was filmed OUTSIDE lockdown, my videos are not always done and put out in the same week.. I had a great weekend when i shot these images, the light was great..
Brilliant Paul, i don't think i have a favourite as they were all awesome images, Talacre never fails to deliver i've done some stunners myself from there, stay safe and hope to go there again soon
Hi Paul, love your pictures of the lighthouse and rainbow. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and you never cease to amaze me, Keep up the great work and keep safe 👍. Also regards to your lovely Wife Mrs C.
Morning Paul stunning photos on what was obviously a very difficult day but you got the reward for you patience. The ones towards the end with the realy strong reflection with the rainbow are just wowwww. Thank you Paul for the video 👏
... there is no such thing as bad weather, you just have to wait long enough ... sometimes ... Well done, great atmosphere, clouds, light, rainbows and photos
Thanks for taking us to the beach today , uplifting stuff when were stuck in so Thank you , not sure if its any use but i use clear shower caps they come in pack of 100 yes 100 for about 4 pounds (Amazon ) but they are clear and elasticated so stay on in windy wet conditions really good for covering up the camera n lens at the same time on the tripod worth a look .some really nice images here cheers
Great video Paul, despite the wind. I really liked the photos when you moved the rainbow to the left of the lighthouse, as well as the final image with the tail of the rainbow off in the distance. Hope you are doing well and staying safe!
This is why I love to follow You. beautiful images and bad weather. Epic shots in weather like this are rare, you did whatever you could to get that shot, and that paid off. Really love those images with the lighthouse and the rainbow. Long exposure in rain is hard, have tried it myself, what saved me was the little foam pad I use to sit on. That was big enough to use as a top cover for my lense, but only because i was using my telezoom so i could hold it almost down onto the lens. I think you did a marvelous job capturing that lighthouse and the rainbow. No problem for me your sound shut of, love looking at the video sound or not. Seascape with wind and rain isn't easy, neither is woodland with sun and heavy snow in the tree tops, that was my day today, have been walking under continuous snowfall the whole day. not snow flake either, more like a bucket of snow at ones. Too tight for an umbrella so had to use a cloth over my camera and one to wipe of the lens, so I have no trouble understanding how stressful it can be when we need that third arm. You just showed us that if we want good images we have to be out, and capturing that rainbow almost exactly where you want it to be is something very rare.
Stunning photos. I know Talacre quite well, not far from where I live. Great pie shop on the road by the car park isn't there? But I digress, great images.
@@paulcomptonpdphotography Best pie shop around, just make sure if you buy a pasty that you ask them to warm it up for you. It's called Clwyd Bakeries, just past The Battered Fish chippy. Post code is CH8 9RD for your sat nav.
You had to work hard to get those images! at least you were rewarded at the end, I expected any minute for you to say lets go back to the van for a cuppa but no you persevered and got your reward, its always nice to see a rainbow in a picture and after all these years it has never happened to me, the only rainbows I ever see are out of my study window or should I say out of the bloody window, those conditions looked awful so you done well and had a happy ending, thank you.
An odd little vlog, and all the more charming because of it. There's too much production value that goes into lots of vlogs now, I think youtube is at its best when its a bit rough and ready. Great shots, I prefer the ones with the rainbow and the clouds without the lighthouse. 10/10 for perseverance, I would have lost my rag at the point where the filter cover hit the beach, it would probably have got frisbeed into the sea. Its not just me is it, that lighthouse is lop-sided isn't it? I've moved my screen around to different angles and it still looks squint.
Hanging in there in tough conditions really paid off Paul. Some outstanding images especially with the rainbow. I use Kase filters too and really love them but I totally agree with you on the lens cover. The slightest knock and it's off. They need to develop some clip type system.
Español Inglés At first, I am crazy about rainbows, it will be because there are no milky ways here, and I would have loved to be there. We must have a connection, or you will be predictable for me, as you were showing the photos I was thinking "I would have taken the photo like this ......" and there, after a few seconds, my idea coinciding with your photo appears. To curl the loop, the perfect panoramic would have been with the lighthouse in the middle of a panoramic view of the entire arch, but you cannot direct the atmosphere to your convenience and you have already done a lot.
Perseverance certainly paid off for you there Paul with some spectacular rainbow and reflection shots. As you quite rightly say events like these don't happen very often and they can turn a rather ordinary day into a very memorable one as was the case with this video. Well done mate 👍🌈 Living where I do in North Wales I managed to get a few rainbow images back in 2020 mainly in Llandudno and also one over Prestatyn Golf Course. Brillaint! I live close to Talacre Beach, so this is such an inspiration to not being a fair weather photographer and get down there.
Never best time to get out is bad weather

Some gorgeous moody juicilisciousness there mate. I always think that highly changeable weather is the best to be out in.
i know it felt right at the start haha

it was hard work but it all happened in the end..
I admire your persistence Paul, some great images, you've made Talacre more appealing. 🤣
funny you should say that its a place to visit but i find it hard to get a nice image there, this maybe the one time haha
@@paulcomptonpdphotography not a place you'd want to go for a weeks holiday. 😂.
Hhmmm not really haha

Well done Paul, could have easily packed up and called it a day in that weather, perseverance paid off some really nice images 👍
i felt like it at one point mate, but you know me never give up haha
