Reasons like this are why I just love Soundtraxx more than any other decoder brand out there. I really need to start reading the manuals so I can unlock the full potential of Tsunami2.
Thank you for the feedback! The manuals a great resource, but we do try to put as much of them as we can into these videos because we know that most customers will not take the time to read them. We do have a select handful that read and use the manuals. Some even print them out and keep them in a binder for quick reference. Once you understand the features you can get really creative with them!
and in addition to this great selection, Tsunami decoders are a damn sight easier to programme than some of the competitors thanks to the really comprehensive manuals available.
to be fair the 'other guys' also have dozens of different horns and bells to choose from, but that doesn't change the fact their product is inferior. If you read the fine print many of their prime mover recordings are not even from the locomotives they claim to be from. For example, their one of their supposed '16-645E non turbo' recordings which they claim is suitable for the 38 line, is actually recorded from an SD9 that was rebuilt with a 645 top end - not a 645E. Not the same thing at all. Their '150' prime movers are mostly duplicates and 'fudged' recordings that are mostly just there to look impressive when they are all arrayed on their website by the dozen.
