Boys I'm telling you whats the truth I never thought anyone could do this song but Dailey and Vincent. Well boys you proved me wrong. Y'all are the real good old down home sound. Got to find more stuff here with y'all singing.
There is no bluegrass band today that has the sheer raw energy and drive like the Johnson Mountain Boys. These guys set the standard that has not been duplicated.
I worked a project with the CBP. They assigned me a agent as a driver who was from NC. We would leave out of Browning, MT and and he would floor it in that Tahoe until we got to 95 mph until we got to Cutback, MT. It took us 10 minutes one day until we got caught.
When they hit the scene (ca. 1979) they were the best hardcore Blue Grass band to come along since Lester Flatt + Earl Scruggs and The Foggy Mountain Boys. The best thing since "Pet Milk" and "Hot Rize Self-Rising Flour".
When does Dudley break a string? I think it must be at the end of that G run (c. 1:31), just when the camera starts focusing on the banjo. Is there any sign that it might have happened earlier?

I agree with ImCKJ. It is hard to find a good Bluegrass Band that is this good and having such a good time. Love'em.
They had the chops, they had the bounce, they had it all. This is how it's done, SON!

the g run at 1 31 is a vocal g run!
Yeah--guitar AND vocals. I don't know how many times I watched this before I realized that!
