I know that the intention of the author was that the "true beauty" of every person be appreciated, but I do not think it has been successful, because the idea that what really matters is appearance, physical beauty and falsehood is reinforced.
Women and men don't have to be attractive to be appreciated.

thats why u gotta invest in skincare more than makeup. i used to rely on makeup but realized thats not gonna fix thr problem completely and decided to start experimenting with skincare ( from cheap to expensive ones ) and my skin is improving. u can do it too!
you have to use skin care, go to the tutorials you need to prep your skin before you put make up on, I used to suffer from acne in my teenage years but major so in my times there were not as many tools like today, prep your skin before put make up on there are so many ways don't rely only on make up.....in my adult life I had wide open pores and a lot of breaking outs but since I do a night make up removal and skin nourishing routine and I hydratae and prep my face skin before I put make up on it does wonders! I don't need that much make up, less make up you put on is better for your skin, Im using the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez I just love it.....

@@laurenramos2775 I've read the webtoon as well. The way the author illustrated the story, the title seemed more valid and relatable, yk? Makeup was a part of Jugyeong, I agree, but what made her even more likable was her personality. Now about this tik-tok trend...idk. I don't see this trend benefit the people in any way. Instead, they proceed to show that wearing glasses, having acne is ugly.
@@charvisharma893 But that's because in True Beauty she had those things as well, I think it's more like a cosplay the way most are portrayed on here since they have a clear point of reference, such as most showing the scenes they are recreating like the red lipstick scene in the beginning
