Awesome catch on that Dark Law tech. Just like the underrated use of Dark Law, I also question why The Black Goat Laughs isn’t used more as a mandatory Thrust target over Fusion Duplication due to its ability to out Apollousa and prevent Flamberge from wreaking havoc.
I have saw great success with my Witchcrafter/Branded build, so I don’t know if I have room to experiment with another small engine in Mask Change 2, but it’s something to keep an eye out on for sure!
The reason why Fusion Duplication is used more widely than Black Goat is due to its flexibility and the ability to play through Ash Blossom. It allows Thrust to become a 2nd Branded Fusion in your opponent's turn, basically enable multiple instances of resolving Branded Fusion. Also, since Fusion Duplication copies the effect of Branded Fusion, it is un-ashable. Hope this helps.

I like the idea of the dark tech but it doesn’t Tribute for cost meaning u can’t dodge imperm or veiler with it… it only discards and targets the monster for cost making it unbelievably worse than when it would tribute for cost
u can. u can chain it to an imperm, if it resolves, then the monster will be sent to gy, dodging the imperm since it resolves before imperm
@@seantyexdee ohhhh u meant it for chaining to an already activated veiler or imperm… that makes sense. A bit more niche but that’s definitely cool and also that dark is only shifter for ur opponent is amazing
20:30 Question, wouldn't you have to normal Albaz to be able to use Mask Change II on it? (because Mask Change II says: "... target a face-up monster you control ..."
But yeah, cool idea. Since I already have Dark Law, I'm still just missing the mask changes. I should totally get myself those.
