I have owned 3 groove life silicon rings. All three had a tear in the first one or two years. Important to note: I take it off before I go to the gym. I don't do anything that would be considered strenuous, unless typing on a keyboard or talking on the phone would be considered strenuous activities. They do honor their warranty but they will charge you $5.30 for the replacement by mail, which means they are still making money. The silicon ring likely costs about .02 cents to make. Also interesting they would charge over $5 dollars to ship an item that literally weighs less than one ounce. Don't get me wrong, I think they should make money, but would be much more positive if they kept it real. $2 dollars for shipping, for example. They still make money, and the consumer is happy. I tattooed mine on because I couldn't wear one to work and I kept forgetting to put it back on. Tried the silicone route but it got wrecked in like 3 days at work. Tattoo is the perfect option for me!
I have had my gold ring on for 53 years. It use to be very loose until I lost it at work. So the next one was tighter BUT I did have it cut soldered in two different places and I have never had a problem. My brother in law did the work on it and I don't know where he soldered it but he did do it in two different places.
I'm scared of losing a finger like Jimmy Fallon is this really a thing or should I just not be stupid and irresponsible with the ring like operating a belt sander?
@@tonyweaver2353 it's called degloving and happens all the time. In the navy we were warned never to wear our rings while operating machinery or laying down lines. It's very real and very nasty.
I was not allowed to wear watches or rings on the job because of safety regs. I got into the habit of not wearing them off the job too. If I need the time I just look at my phone and don't miss the ring either.
i had this really cool blue one, but after like a week of wearing it, my finger got all "prooned" up, i would not recomend for people who like to figet with ur rings, cause it is not fun at all
I get this concept a lot i just got married in June and my husband works out of town and can't wear his ring at work and this might just be perfect for him.
Because metal rings can be risky on jobs that are high maintenance. Silicone is great for construction work, busy work, mechanics, engineering, just working with your hands in general. A lot are worried about losing a finger to their work. It does happen if a ring gets caught in machinery, or stuck on something. It gets so bad that a lot of construction companies, auto companies, etc, forbid jewelry for that reason. Look up finger de-gloving, it's not pretty and it's mostly caused by wedding bands that can't be taken off by swollen fingers or old-fashioned people who don't want to take off their ring. Metal rings can also be crushed to cause broken fingers or amputate a finger by force. A lot of heavy rings can't be cut off because of the thickness of the material. Short of getting a tattoo, a silicone ring is a great option. Not everybody wants to do without their wedding band, you feel naked after a while.
oh my god these rings are so stupid this guy for sure got paid to say good stuff or he's related to the company in some way i mean seriously who the hell has problems with metal rings to the point where it's vital to change it to a silicone ring i mean by all means wear what you want like this ring is not a miracle product and will not solve all your issues

I think maybe the reason they raised it just a bit is to slightly encourage people to not say "oH i LoSt It" and lie.

Flint and Steel Survival that’s not a bad option. I’ll keep that in mind.

I have been looking at one of these for a while now. Due to my job environment it is probably a good idea. Thanks for the review! Good job as always.

What watch is that
Sounds good, my ring cuts through my work gloves after a while even through leather gloves!!
Are they true to size?
I ended up getting a half size bigger then my normal size.
What watch is that?
Jordan Pop that is the Spinnaker SP - 5057 and it’s on a Blushark NATO Strap. It’s a fantastic mechanical / automatic watch. Highly recommended.

I guess it works for some but it looks cheap and boring to me.
Too bad it looks nothing like a traditional wedding band...
Just got mine and they are too tight
Soo how does this protect your finger??? Ohh it doesn't. SILICONE IS NOT BREATHABLE!
It has cut outs to allow air in. Obviously silicone is not breathable!
Isn’t that what the grooves are for? For breathe ability
Why not do without a ring ? It does not really compare to a gold ring, so why wearing a silicon?

Ring avulsion... Simply put
what's ring avulsion?
Its basically your ring getting caught on somthing and ripping your finger off
WAIT WHAT THAT'S A THING
Yeah, it happened do jimmy fallon
So basically, putting a thing on your finger so that you don't get hit on. Basically a signal not to hit on you. See how ridiculous you sound?
