Yes, it's a big of an odd one for a 'sing a long'.... We generally get a few odd looks from new audience members when we play it live :)
Thanks so much! We had an amazing time recording it, and even more fun doing the official video at Old Tailem Town (although this audio clip seems to get more 'views' - odd.). Fun to see so many other versions out there too.
Arghhhh so freakin' good yet so short i can't get enough of it, thank you so much for this little masterpiece!
Love from France
+Vicky Argento Thanks heaps! I reckon somewhere out there are more
lyrics for the traditional version, but that was plenty of gore for our
purposes ;) Glad you enjoyed.
RE: THE HEARSE SONG VIDEO CLIP: After a successful live launch at the Grace Emily on 4 December 2011 Brillig's new video has had its debut *BUT*, it won't be available online until a few days after its "Clip It!" screening on 9 December...... Not long now!
Cheers! We still play it live - especially near Halloween :)
Ours, too! Have loved it since childhood days, and it was fun to do our own version!
Thanks Friends! There are plenty of versions of the 'hearse song' on the web, so the kind words mean a lot :) Glad you like it! We should have more news on some plans for this track very soon.....
Thank you! It's been awhile since we put this single out, but we always think of it most fondly around Halloween... :)
Thanks belladonna! We just finished shooting a proper video for it... there will be some stills + news slowly appearing on our Facebook page...
It's tragic how little the general public appreciates Black Cabaret. You guys should be receiving millions of views per video.
Thanks! It's a classic, isn't it? Proud to put our twist on it. We'll actually have some exciting news shortly on an upcoming project for this song...Will post it here when we're able to share it! :)
one of my favorite songs
Thanks a bunch! Hope you're having a good one :)
I love this great song!
If you ever need an Irish/Scottish sounding voice for your sea shanties, PLEASE. Call on me. I love your work on the Shanties. And am quite proud of my Irish heritage. 😉
Heylo from Melbourne :) I just love this kind of music! Would love to see you guys live at some point
I wonder if brillig would ever join with a band called "The slithy toves"?
Too much fun, I love it!!
Brilliant!
True masterpiece. I listen to it while doing homework
Awesome !! Happy HAlloween!
0:00 - 0:05 very famous tune. Name please?
Nirban Hossain it kind of sounds like toccata and fugue in d minor, by Bach. I think that's the song you're looking for
what is this for a music genere ?
@@d4n_979This song has an old dark legend. They say that they used to teach children the song so that kids would respect the dead, what an a nerve-racking idea of scaring the kids. But the question is: WHO WOULD RESPECT THE DEAD NOWADAYS IF THEY CAN'T RESPECT THE LIVING?
please check this black and white video - ua-cam.com/video/9q3uB5IrwMo/v-deo.html - jacuzzi lucifer is the track - the name of the project is seven daggers
I got this song stuck in my head while I was working in a retirement home... and it was very hard to neither sing or laugh
+MrLednard Oh dear!! Good restraint :)
Both seem like good decisions to me
Hahaha excellent XD
This is so catchy!
Your patients ROCK!
Buddhism says if you can't avoid the death,at least enjoy the life and laugh into the death's face when it comes...smart people, those Buddhist!
