Z33, Huis voor Actuele Kunst, Design & Architectuur in Hasselt, een project van Francesca Torzo, is een culturele instelling dat richt zich op kunst, design en architectuur. De zorg komt bij Z33 tot uiting in het respectvolle behoud van het bestaande gebouw en het historische patroon van het begijnhof. De toegevoegde vleugel zorgt voor nieuwe relaties en de bestaande gebouwen, maar ook tussen de makers van de gebouwde omgeving, zoals de ambachtslieden, fabrikanten, opdrachtgever en architecten.
Het project Z33, een ontwerp van Francesca Torzo, maakt deel uit van de tentoonstelling Care for Space for Care. Scenes from Flanders and Brussels.

Architect Francesca Torzo talks about what 'care' means to her as a designer.
Z33, House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture in Hasselt, a project by Francesca Torzo, is a cultural institute focusing on art, design and architecture. The caring in Z33 is manifested by maintaining the existing building and historic pattern of the beguinage with dignity. The new wing creates new relations not only among the new and existing buildings but also among the makers of the built environment, such as craftsmen, manufacturers, the client and the architects.
