- My first dive on the new plane wreck at Capernwray, 30th May 2010. Diving with my daughter Bethany. Good viz 8m+ and water warming up. 12 degrees at the surface and 9 degrees at 18 meters. Nice dive on the plane and with an encounter with the Sturgeon.
Dived Capernwray many times but must say this has got to be one of the best Videos I ever ever seen regarding the young girl enjoying herself.
She reminds me so much of my daughter in her posture, energy sometimes erratic yet comfortable swimming ability's meant in a positive way.
Very well put together video edit, music seems to work well too.
Superb and very well done.
Dive safe!
Thanks for the comments on the video and Yes it is a scrapped plane, it was sunk as an attraction in an inland diving site in the UK. The plane cost over £25,000 to buy and prepare so they avoided making it too expensive by taking the major value items out (in any event I suspect they would get stolen anyway). Great fun to dive on nontheless!
That diver in the beginning looked really over-weighted
Wow great video! Check out my some of my dive videos here in Guam. Water is a little bit warmer than 9 at 18 hehe
If anyone is interest, the plane is a Hawker Siddeley HS 748
@kjp543 Oh no problem. So you went diving and you found those sunken vehicles? Is that true? I saw a sunken boat after I saw the airplane.
That’s not a plane wreck that was a plane that was cleaned up instruments removed and purposely song for you to dive on
the plane is for sale right now on Ebay.
Головоногие взяли моду топить корабли,самолёты,автобусы,машины и пр. для развлекухи таких же головоногих...
I'd fly that out of there.
@kss341 - thanks for the comment on my video. You should give scuba a go, it is great fun.. Even in a chilly lake! I am in the Red Sea at the moment, quite different! really top notch diving. The video will be on UA-cam Soon. Kevin
Nice video, thumbs up from us and cheers from sunny IGY Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.
looks like you guys had fun but i think you need to work on your buoyancy or you had to much weight.. looks like you were kicking hard to just stay buoyant relax and you'll save alot of air and really enjoy your dives. but it looks like you guys had fun.
~me knocs on the door~ ~a guy pops out and says hello?~
@marcelosiempre Gracias por el comentario!
@wackjonny Thanks for your great feedback. Much appeciated. Beth (my daughter) has now progressed to PADI Rescue Diver and still enjoys her diving, nice to look back on this and see the smile on her face!
Carl .......you for got to set the altimeter again.
Great video .. can see it was newly put in
Why a sunken boat is near the airplane?
So strange to watch this, I used to sit in the left hand seat, flew it at the start of my commercial flying career with Emerald Airways doing night freight, my wife, daughter & I are all PADI AOW/Nitrox, I'd love to dive it, but we've been spoilt with sea temps of 28/30 degrees
Artifical diving site. Boring.
Awesome! Just seeing this now as I have a youngest daughter getting ready to get diving on plane wrecks and sturgeon! Great video!
Wo war das mit dem Flugzeug in welchem See oder Meer oder Fluss
Been ages since I last dived Capernwray. Think another trip is due. Cool video.
where is that lake ? looks pretty nice
Nice exorcist theme at the beginning. For fucks sake
Great film.
Twixx415 - thanks for the comment. Wrecks are pretty cool, just need to be careful as you can get trapped inside them if your don't take care. Good planning and the right training are key. I am a qualified instructor and my daughter is a Rescue Diver.
Brrrr. I just did a dive in a 7mm suit in 59 F degree water... too cold.
@Icaller1915 Thanks for the comment, the lake is a diving center and they have put a number of attractions into the lake for divers to explore. The plane is one of many attractions, they have cars vans, boats helicopters and even a submarine! Have a look at dive-site.co.uk
@kjp543 Hi I havn't dived Stony in Years, just to show how long ago: There were no facilities : no staging, no showers, just a deep hole, if you were the first in great then down hill from there on in.. The deepest I registered was 110 feet about 34 mts according to my log book. It was absolutely freezing, there was just a thin layer of sheet ice I wore two wet suits one 3mm and a 5mm over the top. I was a keen diver in those days. Another place we use to dive was Nazing Pit Essex,
@1stMrSceptical Capernwray is usually clearer than Stoney and they have a lot to see as well as the plane and all the great trout. So for shallower dives and clear water I'd say Capernwray was better, Stoney however wins over if you need to do some deeper diving (down to 37m) as Capernwray is only around 20m.
Well done! Incredible fish life and visibility. Wish my kids would have taken up diving.
People still asking why the plane is hollowed out with the word divers on the wing? It's an artificial reef ya'll.
Better than Stoney Cove?
@ls176dr Thanks for the feedback, you will be in for a treat now you have passed your drysuit specialty you can dive all over the UK. There is lots to see, from South Coast Wrecks to stunning scenic dives in Scotland. Enjoy! I have uploaded a few videos of some of the great UK dives - Isle of Man, Devon and Scotland so far my favorites.
What a music❤️
Eu vi um Max Steal ali fi
Nice music video!
This was at the beginning of my daughters diving when she was a newbie. She's much more relaxed now.. take a look at our trip to Cyprus earlier this year! take a look at the video ref v=xNjMvHHwacw
What certtification do you guys have? I have my Advanced Open Water. and TeaMoneyify it's not that creepy going to wrecks although I've only been to two wrecks and they were both at Catalina Island. One was Extreme Snailing, and the other was at shiprock. Both awesome dives although I liked the one at shiprock more
@MRBoenz Thanks for the comment, the lake is a dive centre in the Lake District in the UK. Near Carnforth in Lancashire. They have a website dive-site.co.uk
ive tangoed with big sturgeon under the blue water bridge in pt huron michigan powerful fish in the st clair river
I GUARANTEE that's what this is. Otherwise most of the planes cockpit would still be there.
It was lowered in by a crane as an underwater attraction for divers.
@kjp543 yeah its really good to dive in :) think it would be a little difficult with all the seats in though :)
Wow,, this is fabulous !!.. a dream dive..
looks like otter lake minus the DC3 here in Michigan USA
im scared of underwater wrecks, it freaks me out.. but why i keep on watching T_T scary
@germanshepherdjuliet Oh ok, I can understand that :)
looks like the plane was stripped and sunk for pleasure divers
was this a crash or an artificial reef?
crash it was stripped out tho and salvaged
Top 10 Saltiest Balls #1 Cryy No, it was purchased and dumped into the lake as a diving attraction.
WHAT THE F DO YOU THINK???????
I've never been diving ever.. but i have to say that would scare the hell out of me! great vid!
kkkk eu assustei na hora que aquele peixe estava se aproximando da menina
I know the song is from Mike Oldfield, but what's the name of the song?
damn,, the plane was on landing gear....
waoooo muy bueno el video, alucinante, los felicito por compartir su agradable buzeo.
Ricky
how would I go about starting to dive? and go se things like this
Nope, it is a Hawker Siddeley HS 748
the funny thing is the words on the plane say diver
It must feel so creepy to be down there.
beautifully filmed :) what camera are you using? :)
How did the plane end up underwater?
Talk about having a hip life. Cool stuff man :)
This a really fascinating video! Great song by the way! What's it called?
C2c Delta song
Thanks!
coooool
Why does the song sound like the exorcist song
yahir saavedra lmfao fr tho
yahir saavedra I was going to say that
It's from Tubular Bells 2! The sequel to Tubular Bells 1 which was the Excorcist theme I think! :)
please can i know location of this site, city name also ?
This is in Over Kellett, In Lancashire England. See dive-site.co.uk
very nice
i used to dive there 7 days a week back in 1996 with scuba diving development as an instructor great site the resident dog was called marle a black and white dalmatian he used to nick our sandwiches while we were diving. :(
you carried sandwhiches with you underwater?
noah Nordstrom are you like really slow or something?
Jadduck That dog was amazing - ate sausages underwater as well - always stealing things off the trout. :/ ;)
Kevin Phillips i wish my dog did that
I think DC-3
Nice
YO!!!🌊😮
wow
Subbed.
Coulndt you just use Tubular Bells?
PooTube would have cockblocked it do to copyright faggotry
Why does the plane have no seats?
It was lowered in by a crane as an underwater attraction for divers. The seats were removed to avoid divers getting stuck inside.
вам не страшно ?
Where is this?
This is in Over Kellett, In Lancashire England. See dive-site.co.uk
Why is the plane hollow
It has been stripped out to make it safe to dive in.. It was also a cargo plane in the first place so had no seats anyway.
Oh that's cool I want to go diving
Why wouldn't the plane be hollow? It would be a worthless plane if you could not put anything in it.
It was determined early in the evolution of manned flight that solid airplanes were very heavy and had poor flight characteristics.
For the same reason birds have hollow bones
Avro 748
HS-748 G-BVOV
Wow she moving her arms all over. Clearly inexperienced and can't control her boyancy properly
Everyone has to start somewhere.. she is now a master scuba diver and has dived all over the world..
SALAH
what's the fun of diving on a set up wreck
