You are going to love Kindred ❤😊😊😊
I think so too!! I am very eager to pick that one up. Thinking that I'll read it next month for Black History Month, as well!
I am so excited that you plan to read The Nightingale! I truly think it is Kristin Hannah at her best. One of my all time favorite reads. I have added Kindred to my TBR list, along with This Could Be Us, once I have read Before I Let Go. I can hardly keep up with all of your great recommendations. Thank you!!!
We have a lot of similar books on our TBRs. I just finished book 1 of Mistborn and I’m about 25% into book 1 of The Poppy Wars. This Could Be Us and Part of Your World are also high up on my TBR.
I hope you like The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi. I listened to the audiobook last year and enjoyed it. I gave it a 3.75.
I want to get my hands on the poppy war series by R.F Kuang. Plus, she has another book releasing this year as well. So many books, still so little time! gah! I hope you get to your 25 this year. Happy reading!
So many good ones on your list!! Some of these are on my general TBR (especially Kindred), whether I get to them this year or not is another matter 😂 Amina Al-Sirafi is a fun pirate story for sure! I’m planning to re-read Mistborn book one and then continue the series this year! Piranesi was one of my favorite books I read last year, can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I’m currently reading Homegoing and would love to read more by Yaa Gyasi! The Nightingale is a favorite of mine ❤️ This year I’m hoping to read Wind and Truth, the new Emily Wilde book, Hello Beautiful, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Naturals, Leviathan Wakes, The Fifth Season, My Brilliant Friend, and many more!!
I saw that you loved Piranesi in your 2024 most surprising video which made me push it onto this list!!
I also have The Count of Monte Cristo high up on my classics list! I just didn't put it on this list because it is soooo long. 😅
Same with My Brilliant Friend...it's just a long series but I've heard phenomenal things about it!
Excited to see what you get around to this year! 💛
Love the range of genres and authors.
Amina al-Sirafi, and Transcendent Kingdom are brilliant.
Yayyy you just got me even more excited to pick up Amina al-Sirafi!! 😝
Have you read The City of Brass??
Sounds like some really good reading for 2025. I finished Mistborn Era I. Need to read Era 2 and the Storm Light books. I eventually want to read The Stand by King as well. I enjoyed The Dark Tower Series by King. If you like Westerners you might enjoy that when you get down to that one. Happy Reading 📚. 💜💜💜
I don't typically enjoy Westerns butttt I still haven't decided if I want to include The Dark Tower series in my chronologically Stephen King reads.
I feel like I have to at least give them a try!
💖💖💖
Kindred is so good. I was seriously unhappy the adaptation only hit one season. I just finished the reformatory so I’m going to add your Tananarive Due choice to my tbr.
Omg I am still SO MAD Hulu canceled Kindred. How do you cancel a show that ends on a crazy cliffhanger like that?
The New Jim Crow 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm embarassed for how long this book has been sitting on my shelves. 🫣
@ Don’t be… we all do it 🙋🏽♀️🤭
❤
7:24 I loved the good house!! For a horror it was also surprisingly emotional for me also 😂 had me tearing up during a horror novel
Yessss, The Reformatory torn my heart out but it was so great!! I expect nothing else from Tananarive hahah
@@scottieshereereads hahaha oh great ill bring tissues for that one too xD
Omg yess finish the Poppy award and Mistborn. You won’t be disappointed! But if you are, forget I said this
I still need to read Monstrilio! And you can’t go wrong with Tananarive Due
I have no doubts that I will absolutely adore both of those series!!
I loved The Poppy War trilogy; hope you enjoy it. Prepare to have you heart ripped out lol
I think that's why I didn't continue after reading the first book. I absolutely loved it but it broke my heart at the same time. 😂😭
