I am tempted to get one new one. I am quite heavy at 100 kg so I was looking at this as a starter bike. My only concern is if it is a reliable bike or I will have issues with it. Would you recommend it as a starter?
if you have never rode a bike, I would not recommend it to learn, in that case I would recommend an upwright driving position naked bike. I would not recommend it for heavy traffic, because of the riding position and engine heat. The engine is realiable, the electronics have bad reputation (though mine has never failed) , but if you take care of it, don't over soak it with water to clean it or do electric modifications, should not have problems. It has issues like all bikes. Mine had issues with the front suspension, fixed myself. But for the price this bike can offer a lot.

I bought it new. Engine is very reliable. Electronics are not reliable in models older than 2015 from what I have read. Never been left stranded. Had some problems tho; Front suspension seals leaked in less than 6 months from purchase, so I rebuilt them myself. 2 years after purchase, the exhaust broke something inside and made annoying metal noises, so I changed it for a sporty one (the one you can hear in this video). Other problem was the TP sensor was decalibrated, producing very irregular acceleration and power in low rpms, I calibrated it myself: no problems since. As you can read my experience has been ok. Some minor problems easy to fix if you like working a little.
