Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Missed opportunity to recreate the Vulture, Rhino, Goblin, and Electro meme.
We still need a new sandman, kraven and a rhino I have a sinister six. But not a canon version, a myst, doc ock, electro, scorpion, and vulture. I have not read a comic with them as the sinister 6!b yes I know im still missing one. It feels like im still missing all of them
@@alejandromorgado9002 Hasbro should just make a fan channel boxset at this point. Making them in parts scattered around in random lines and different waves is just annoying and tedious.
Alternatively, they could re issue Electro, Sandman, and Mysterio like how they did the retro Storm, Rogue, and Gambit for target, but on all fan channels. Then give us Vulture, Doc Ock, and Kraven again, but in the retro line to give them all that uniform-esque look.
Personally, I think they would make a lot more money off the individual re-releases, because a box set would mean we might get doubles of certain characters, so less people would want to pay for a figure they already have.
I wish hasbro would re-release another rhino or sandman because the prices for them are too high for me to afford
What about electro cause I need him also for the sinister six but the movie version isn’t that great of substitute, hob-goblin is another issue too because I have the toy biz version but no glider, I got him used so he didn’t come with it

If I get this figure, I'm super gluing those wings into their respective ports.
I mean when are you gonna use the vulture without the wings?
For stop motion or figure comics if Spider-Man damages his wings and if he wears a trenchcoat and sprouts out his wings in the next shot.
If you damage him accidentally after having glued those, they might break off beyond the glued point. I recommended to Shartimus he wedge a small snipped scrap of flat rubber band into each port. So they may still be removable if you need to, but not as easy as merely carrying or handling the figure.
We use vulture without wings when he is about to punch
I just got this today and HATE how the wings pop out easily. Was thinking the Super Glue solution, but like someone mentioned, you might want to take the wings off for stop motion shots.

That body mold is a good one and very versatile for other characters ...not mad at all about the lines being painted..very cool figure

I always liked Vulture a lot and I like this figure a lot too. I also wanted a fully striped costume and maybe a wash on the cowl but there's something about the combination of that snow white in the cowl, three shades of green in the costume and the flesh tone on the head and hands that hits me on the sweet spot. It's not perfect but I like it a lot, I'm glad I preordered it. Thanks for the review Shartimus.

Mines on the shoulder and is a pain in the ass! Good ol quality control must a been out smoking a joint when those came down the line!!
Found mine today and the pegs are on the bicep too and had recheck the video to see if I remembered wrong. I think it’s better for the articulation on the back of the bicep

Great review, but I noticed something on your Vulture that is different on mine. Where the upper wing bit attaches to the arm, yours attaches in the shoulder, whereas mine attaches on the bicep. Maybe one or the other is a variant?
Just picked this up in the wild at a local Walmart, and it has the running change to the upper-wings where they tab into the slots in the upper arm and not the shoulder.
Is it not possible to easily put this head sculpt on the toybiz body? I love the body sculpt on the toybiz figure and hate the head sculpt and feel vice versa with this figure so l was planning to get both to do that

I think a better way to find the correct side the wings are put in is to see the little circles under them and make they face down.
Waiting for mine to arrive. Agree on the need for a new Electro. And because I'm late to collecting I need Sandman and Rhino too. Hopefully Hasbro pays attention to the chatter here.

Snip a small scrap of wide, flat rubber band. Wedge it into each arm slot as you are pushing a wing piece into place. If you've cut them small enough, they also won't show.
Do the TB stands work with this figure?
I recently was able to get this wave and I noticed two small changes: On the Vulture figure the port is in the bicep also Shang Chi figure has a peg on his back.

I'm glad we got an updated Vulture, I just wish the smaller wings fit the biceps better - the ones on mine keep popping out whenever I try to pose him!

I think those wings are meant to be on the opposite arms. I’ve been messing with mine and it just makes more sense to have the color and sculpt showing to the front. But they can go either way depending on how you’re posing him.
Hasbro shouldn’t have cheeped out and sculpted and painted both sides.
Now this is my Vulture. Can't wait to upgrade from my 2pk ultimate Vulture. Be well everyone.

Huh, funny. your bicep/tricep wing ports are on the top of the arms...??! Mine are located on the tricep area. Weird. Anyone who also has this new release sound-off. Are yours where Shart's is or on the tricep are like mine.
I think they didnt sculpt line detail because they might want to reuse it for a classic falcon

Solid review of a cool figure. Out of all the recent Marvel Legends Spidey villains, which one do you think is the best? I'm going with the classic Doc Ock. He looks just like he did in the comics. Oh, and we need a classic Green Goblin. A good Romita Goblin.

I like the big hands on Vulture. For a different reason than everyone else, Vulture is a grabby character, he is always pulling someone into the sky or throwing things around.

I'm a year late but of its bothering you that much Shartimus, ill answer the helmet question. Toomes never wore it in the comics, ever. However he wore it in the 60s cartoon as a device to communicate with birds and the 90s cartoon it was worn by him and shaped for wind resistance. However, its nice to have since it on classic Toomes since it makes sense Vulture would wear some form of protection for his head

I remember like a 6 part arc from ASM in the early 90s that was killer! Was a really dark tale! With all the re paints and used parts Hasbro throws at us I'm like you that jackel with a small tweak will work nicely!

I was thinking the wings could be re purposed for the last Darkhawk figure.
So back in 2014 during SDCC when the Pizza Spidey first got revealed, he and 2099 had much larger shoulders compared to their actual release, which I wouldve honestly preferred. I think this Vulture MAY be using a retooled version of those Spider-man shoulders; just a theory.

Edit: Just went back to the Ultimate Spider-Man 2 pack review you did (not to mention your comparison) and it seems these are the same ones as that Vulture, and because of the forearm armor on that one, the hands look more in scale. The bigger hands do definitely help convey his age and frail body. Not trying to sound rude! Just observations! Great review!
Lack of sculpted line work doesn't bother me as much as the wings constantly falling off.

Yeah fam, his hand is oversized because it came from mysterio (who also probably reused it) which is a ‘buff’ figure, so it’s out of proportion as those hands were evidently made for people similar to wolverine in build.
