I think this interview was done way before her family tragedy, otherwise the host would at least have offered his condolences. I think this was done while she was the minister of transportation during Trump ‘s White House, so it was about four years ago, not now. These YT videos never accurately mark the time of the event. What a pity! But whatever the case, Elaine Chao is a great lady, intelligent,charming, capable and very very presentable, of course, truly the pride of us Chinese. She is so traditional and look at the way she asked the host to extend her regards to his parents, here again, many Americans would never have thought of doing. Many Asian Americans are trying to be like the Americans, but amazingly, as an important cabinet member of the us government, not only does she maintain her own cultural background, but tries to make her fellow American colleagues to understand where she comes from. And she does it so gently and skillfully. What a remarkable person, by any standard, East or West. 😮😅
@AlexZhu-fi3zm Is that what they teach you in Taiwan? The brainwashing in Taiwan is widespread and starts young. You do know the US recognizes Taiwan as part of China 🇨🇳 😄
