It's a worthwhile challenge. Think that's why they kept it at just 5, challenging enough that not everyone is getting the top emblem but not too difficult that it's impossible for majority of the players. You have to actually work for the bragging rights (let's be real, emblems are just for show and doesn't give actual advantages in the game) instead of getting them as freebies. For now, this is still very fair I think. We'll see if they will gatekeep cards or actual rewards behind win streak events in the future.
Pffft. I just finished running Dugtrio, Onix,Golem. Nothing but Pikachu and Mewtwo. Easy clear lol. There was one super close Mewtwo game but the heart of the cards gave me the Brock I needed to clutch up.
Went with an off-meta deck with a Blastoise, Taurus, and baby Articuno, Blastoise doing the full sweeps while the others tank hits and swap out. It was satisfying to finally complete the 5 wins against meta decks.
I got a 5 win streak with my Blaine deck. Only took me 7 matches. All 1 prize cards and low energy cost, very consistent and strong early game. I used 2 Rapidash, 2 Ninetails, 1 Meowth, 2 Oaks, 2 Pokeball, 2 X Speed, 2 Blaine, 2 Giovanni, 1 Sabrina
I won my 1st match but lost 2nd match because i started with Magmar, so i decided Meowth is better for getting Ninetails online quicker with its low energy cost + draw a card mechanic
@@lynx2786 how do you pilot this deck bro? The opponents always play these beefy, high-hp pokemons. My lil dudes cant burn them down fast enough. Do you just pray to get your shit online fast and then rush them down?
Tried using the Mewtwo deck in the video. Won my very first game, then had 5 losses in a row, then proceeded to win 6 of my next 8 games. I'm on good pace now, hopefully I can do the impossible and get 5 wins in a row, but I probably never will, let alone in 6 days. Edit: Just woke up this morning, had a coffee to wake my brain up, did a few practice games to get my brain back into Mewtwo EX mode, then proceeded to win my next two online games, giving me the 5-streak. I guess Christmas came early for me 😁. Never would I have thought I could get a 5-streak in serious PVP in a game this luck-heavy. Edit 2: Also just happened to get my second event Venusaur this morning 😁. I'm having a good day.
Got my 5 streak in my first 7 games. Only game I lost was literally where I only drew 1 basic pokemon and no pokeballs, and I have 6 basic and 2 pokeballs in my deck. From what I remember I even had a professor. Lost at the start of turn 3 I think to a pikachu ex that had a full bench. So I drew 9 cards and had 1 basic. 11 cards left in the deck and any one of the 7 basic or pokeball cards in there would have won me the game. Even then I had a dugtrio and got unlucky since I had a 50% chance of not taking any damage. I play with marowak ex, dugtrio, and sandslash. 2 professors, 2 sabrina, 2 giovanni, and 2 pokeballs round out the deck. No red cards, nearly everyone needs to drop the red cards, especially pikachu decks or anything that doesn't have a stage 2 evo. The only time it is ever useful is when you are fighting an opponent with a stage 2 evo that had to wait a couple turns to get their stage 1 evo. You play the red card after they get the stage 1 evo since they have likely drawn most of their deck and chances are they are already sitting on their stage 2. This is more likely to happen if you have a long setup time. All my evolutions are turn 1 though. So I'd say only a third of the time red card screws me up. Another third of the time it basically does nothing since I just get nearly the same hand back, and the remaining third of the time it actually helps me out. This is especially true since if I like my hand I try to keep the cards down, if I want to redraw then I keep cards in my hand. Way more likely to drop pokemon on the bench or use a supporter if I don't want to get hit with a red card. Meanwhile 100% of the time my opponent is in a worse position because they had a red card, they could have had something more useful to them in their deck that they would have drawn, even if they never play red card. I see way too many decks that sacrifice a giovanni or sabrina in order to put a red card in their deck. It feels good to play, but rarely actually hurts your opponent, it just feels like it does. What I'm finding is that aggressive decks almost always win unless they draw really badly.
I finished the event pretty quick. So I tried doing this thing where I play to win then surrender right before I actually win. What I realized was that literally 90% of my opponents surrender immediately when it looks like they lost. like damn
Wish I’d seen this video earlier, got the 5 wins with the blain deck tho took 7 battles as lost in the second. Was stuck at 3 & 4 wins, lost count how many battles I did tho was enough to complete the missions.
Ran a venusaur-exeggutor deck and won 4 games in a row. 5th game: I was against a fire deck so i thought it was over but opponent made a blunder by not placing benched pokemons, so when I saw the heads from my exeggutor attack, you bet I was ecstatic. All within 2 hours of release too.
I had been running 1 Arcanine with my char/molty deck and couldn't believe more people weren't. That deck crushes. Little reliant on the molty coin flips but I still won quite a few when I don't get my flips 👍🏻
A double machamp ex and double primeape is the best go to deck which requires least rng, and helps you get through pretty quickly. Primeape hard carried me in this event
I did the whole run with a Starmie/ Golduck deck and got to the 5th battle and was faced with a Pickachu Deck and somehow some way I managed to get the W
Tried using Wigglytuff Ex + Weezing deck, got four easy wins in a row, then almost won against a starmie/Articuno Ex player who high rolled TWICE on Misty, first 4 energy, then 7... only one sleep roll away from a win was very painful.
got 4 winstreaks 7 times and lost to the last match because i couldn’t pull a sabrina or a misty within 13 rounds so my articuno was getting destroyed by mewtwo, broke my phone
finished in 6 matches with a marowak ex and kabutops deck, got lucky, won twice in the first hand with a first turn evo into marowak with giovanni doing 50 dmg
I REFUSE to stoop to the level of net decking just to win the emblem event, this is supposed to be a deck building game, not a net decking game and winning/losing on a coin flip. So I designed a deck that can win against all the net decks. My Melmetal/Graninja mono steel energy with duo misty deck. This deck wrecks Pikachu EX, and starmie EX as Melmetal is a 1 hit kill on the rat, it melts Muk decks since it slows Weasing poison to a crawl, it's equal with Mewtwo EX, and struggles most against fire decks but you can totally win if you can get your misty to flip heads on Graninja. Lucky statistically fire decks are less played than Mewtwo and pika EX though so isn't as much of a threat. It's so much more satisfying to win this event with something other than a garbage sheeple net deck. Cry more plebs.
Just wondering 5 straight with a Koga deck. Really good against Mewtwo. Faced 2 mewtwo which were easy matches 1 Pika ex which I had to navigate really well, one Koga mirror in which I drew better and 1 Charizard ex which also took some careful navigation and piloting even though their moltres high rolled.
Finished it's annoying if you loose because you have to start over finally 5 wins in a row I thought it was a long one thank God it wasn't because these players omg

9-1 with Blaine and it’s done. Only loss was a turn 1 articuno too.

@keneeden3316 so much rng involved in my deck - dual energy, egg coin flip and draw 🤣 I'm gonna forget about dual energy.....for now.
@ good idea 😂 I’ve not even tried a dual energy yet don’t think i have it in me
I was able to get it with the blain deck. Actually won 8 games before I lost to Mewtwo EX
