Yo King, the more I think about it, you should probably do One Day It'll All Make Sense before Like Water. It is a deeper album with some of the same themes and you'll appreciate it more. The features with Cee Lo, Lauryn, Erykah, De La, Black Thought, and Q-Tip are all well used with pretty much no fluff on the album.

I don't hate on Em, but he was just not particularly interesting to me. Lyrically...superb...but song composition is just so so. I never really liked his beats even when he produces.
A Producers Orchestrates A Song/Album.. Some are hands on with instruments and beat machines. Some cant play anything but knows how to place sounds in the right areas. Some beat makers can also producer some cant. They'll tell an artist how they should approach a song scheme and Flow wise. If you dont do any of those things except make the beat .. You are Not A Producer, You Make Beats And Thats Ok And Is Definitely Needed When Crafting An Album.

the crazy thing about copyright... the ones that are getting claimed aren't because of the artists..., its major record labels trying to take a piece. i know artists want to get paid, but i think they'd rather their music get out there and they can make money off of concerts, albums, merch, etc. .... what's the point of shutting this down? they (record labels) don't want you to make money if they're not getting a piece of it.., regardless if its for a good reason, regardless of how little money it may be.
The really messed up part is that samples have different laws than covers. Hate to throw race into it, but you can cover a song without permission and pay a flat fee, but samples have to be prenegotiated and/or they can take royalties.
