Hey ME7, I've FINALLY managed to set a Group A lap time worth 300 gold in RR3, and its taken me almost 3 years for it, and it feels so awesome. Thanks to you, ME7 and Alfred
@nathan_racing_44 WOW!! Very nice! Sounds like this car and track combo really suited you. I experienced that sometimes wear a certain car and Track are really good for me. Unfortunately, there are also weeks were a certain car and or track are just horrible for me and I can struggle to even get Group B.😅
I honestly didn’t know OMP was this elaborate. Even when I have a top tier car, I never go past 700 points. Most of the time, this part of RR3 isn’t worth the effort
@joespittle1 the rewards aren’t great, that’s for sure. However, it seems to help to limit the amount of hacking that goes on in this part of the game. Many years ago the rewards were a lot higher but then game manipulation and hacking was also higher. The bonus is, you can learn things from other drivers which can pay off in weekly time trials and things like that.
Thank you for your support! I also really appreciate the feedback! This is a pretty long video, and I was reluctant in doing it. However, I thought people might find it interesting and I tried to edit out boring parts. Anyhow, nice to know that people like it.

Although I very rarely check it out because even a millisecond of getting disconnected and reconnecting again can result in the results screen showing the ‘Disconnected’ bar. 😲 11:42 For additional accuracy, I generally use *1.60934 km* in one mile, but for a lot of you guys, it seems like a lot of digits to work with, therefore may be complicated!
Fantastic job, ME7! To think that you could make something so punishing, time consuming and relatively less rewarding into something so exciting and fascinating to see... I would normally consider OMP as a mundane task to grab a couple of free gold. However, the way you improved your times on the go, the intense close finishes, made me reconsider about OMP races Brilliantly done, once again!❤
Hey there, thanks for your feedback! I agree that you don’t earn that much gold but it has helped me to get faster in other parts of the game. I’ve learned things from other players, as far as race lines and approaches to certain tracks.
This was a fun video to watch. I normally don’t really spend much time or effort on OMP….the rewards suck. If i focus on WTT & move up, the gains are huge in comparison….but enjoyed your journey 👍👍
Best RR3 video I've seen in a long time. Edge of my seat stuff, really enjoyed it and learned some things I didn't know, despite playing this since 2015. Would you consider posting your OMP races on a regular basis?
@@ME7_RR3 The main reason I started RR3, was that I expected to earn the cars which I would go on to use in online and offline racing. Remember when OMP consisted of separate beginner, medium and expert levels? I miss that feature as I think it made sense. Especially for those players who would do it for the enjoyment rather than just accumulating resources and winning new cars. Nowadays the latter feels like it has become more important than the experience of competition racing. I guess that is why this video stands out for me, it's exactly what the heart of the matter should be. Thanks and keep up the excellent work!
I know exactly what you’re saying! It gets difficult. I had one race where someone’s Internet connection was a bit laggy, and the car started flying right in front of me. I knew he wasn’t hacking because I had raced him in multiple races. I couldn’t see anything! They were weird black lines coming off his tires, I almost had to just drive by muscle memory. I still got a second place finished which is pretty good against a guy with 1200+ points.
Once, when you had these races, people at the start, the first thing they did was to throw you off the track. Many people instead of thinking about running the race, they only thought about throwing you out. Fortunately, they then changed the system with these online multiplayer races.
Yes, that used to be quite some years back... I remember getting hit and flying off the track or hit someone else and use them as "dirty" brakes... its actually nice that the system changed to racing against "ghosts" Welp, now the pressure is higher because every lap raced in OMP needs to be like a time trial lap or you lose by a huge margin
It’s quite ironic because I did the EXACT SAME THING in almost the same way and time and made a very similar recovery. 😅😂 I was at 1200 points, quite the rarity nowadays, then restored after a time trial test and went down to 100, then clawed back to 1250.
Somehow my comment vanished, so here again: @3:10 you can take this corner full throttle in this car if you position your car about half a car to car’s width more to the right (your left side is on the white curb). It’s tricky but this way I drive 1:48 to 1:50 for 3 lap races.
I love this Silvia. I could almost use my F1 braking points!😂 Anyways in the start of the video I see you keep (cutting) T1 of Lime Rock. Now, I like this track - it flows well. The problem is the Chase camera... it's the "loose" camera from street circuits like FE or Monaco. That really throws my feeling of the car off by a lot. It's been a while since the track came out, and I've already mentioned it then, but could you ask EA/FM to fix the chase camera setting? There's no reason for them to use this horrible camera when the track barriers aren't even connected to the road (heck, even Melbourne uses the traditional camera).
I noticed the same thing at lime rock. However, after a couple of races, I settle in just like I do at street circuits. I actually don’t think they can fix it. I know that sounds bad, but when questions go unanswered, that’s the only conclusion I can come up with. My interaction with them isn’t like this, like the conversation we’re having. A lot of times they don’t answer questions and I expect that’s because they aren’t allowed to answer. I don’t fault them for it at all. They are a massive organization and I am privileged to have any interaction with them at all. One interesting thing I’ve learned about this game is that it’s not as simple as we think it is from our side of playing. Sometimes a very small adjustment to one part of the game has huge consequences in many parts of the game. For instance, slight modifications to Bot behaviour with update, 8.0 (introduction of F1 ) caused problems with endurance racing that took years to rectify. Why do I say that? Changing chase view in one race will most likely have consequences in every single other race. So then it might be better at lime rock, but then get worse at 25 other circuits or 30 other circuits. I’m sure people who do coding on a regular basis have experienced this, but it’s almost like these things are an organism. You change something to one part of the game and there’s a reaction elsewhere were you would completely not expected it to be. Back to Lime Rock Park. Another piece of this puzzle is that the circuit was actually designed for Real Racing Next. That game was quite different, much more of a Codemaster feel to it. I have a feeling that when they imported that track into RealRacing3, the strange Chase view affects occurred. That’s another reason why I think they can’t change it because it’s actually at the core of that track. The worst iteration of it is when there’s that really tight chicane in one of the versions. I found I had to develop muscle memory and then just trust that. It’s not ideal, but this is where we are.
@@ME7_RR3 😬😥 I cannot ever get used to this "loose" camera... Especially with that chicane you mention, this camera does not let you see where the nose is, and that is just horrible for me. Same happens in Street circuits, especially New York, with the crazy 180° and that ugly chicane before the curved straight. How sad it is... Anyways, there's literally no reason for the game to set the camera mode like this. The walls are not even that close (bar maybe the chicane sections). Oh well, just gotta deal with it then... better to just use the Bonnet/Hood cam.
This omp will end at 5:30 am in India so should I wait till 5:30 am to collect omp rewards or can I update to the new version and will still be able to collect rewards or the new omp will start ? 😅
I was experimenting with different settings and didn’t realize it would change things here! By the time I noticed it, other people had started noticing it, so I just left it. 😅
Hi ME7. Here's a fun hypothetical for you.😁 If you could take four aspects or corners of four of your favorite tracks to create your own awesome tack what would you choose and why? 😎
That’s a very difficult question for me 😅. I’d have to think about it for a while. I was thinking there are certain sections of the Porsche test track that I like but then those are sections that were taken from famous tracks, LOL! … I stopped to think for a while, wanted to give you an answer. I realize that if there’s a Corner that I really like it’s often also because of what was before or after that corner. So that takes me to the conclusion that I like a track that has flowing sections. Then it also depends on the car. For instance, I generally do not like Red Bull Ring, short circuit. But today I really dialled it in driving the Nissan Silvia S 15 R3spec and it was amazing! After three or four sloppy races, I was really dialled in and I was actually beating higher level players by 100+ metre and a 3 lap race. Are used to hate Laguna Seca and now it’s one of my favorites. I also used to really dislike Mount panorama at the top of the mountain because of the walls and narrow chicanes but… Again with that same Nissan Silvia I was just having an amazing time this week. So… I’m not answering your intended question. The more I think about it the more I realize it is quite car specific. There are some tracks that I really don’t like in certain cars. Now that I think about it, I don’t really have a favourite track anymore. Porsche short track was definitely my favourite at one point. But as I’ve really focussed and hone my skills, I found a lot of tracks to be quite enjoyable. I’ve got to give you at least a partial answer 😅. Let’s talk about the famous Eau Rouge section. I love that corner because it’s incredibly rewarding. I actually like it when it’s extremely difficult to take it full throttle, or if it requires a short breaking point in online multiplayer. The reward is not necessarily the corner, but what comes after the corner, the long run up Kemel. What to get that reward you had to enter the corner properly, then successfully navigate the corner. So then what makes that corner special is also the entrance in the exit and the long run after it. Then I just have to make sure I don’t ruin all of that advantage at Les Combes! Another place that’s one of my favourites is the first Mulsanne chicane at Le Mans. Again, it’s often because that’s where I outpaced the competition in online multiplayer. The reward for the proper execution of that chicane is delivered on the next straight. I’ll give you one more and that would be at Silverstone, Maggots, Beckett’s complex and Chapel curve. That is another section that I really dislike for a long time. However, lots of endless endurance racing in Formula One cars really improved my execution of that very technical section. Honestly, it would probably take me days to get an accurate answer to your question of what my track would look like as I think things through at a very thorough level so I probably won’t have an answer, but I gave you something.😃
That's funny. I was playing OMP at Limerock, and made it up to 1146. I went to the standings to see where I stood. 44th, as it was. Anyway, as I scrolled down the list, I saw ME7 up around 15th or so. A little while later I scrolled the list again. No ME7. Scrolled some more, still no ME7. Thought it was weird that you just disappeared from the top 400. Now I know why.
LOL! I was so mad, but I realized what I had done! But then I decided to make the best of it. You’ve got a really nice score there! Right now I’m back up at 1119 for points. At this time of day I get very few races against people that I can actually earn points from so I’ll probably have to leave it for about 8 or 9 hours. This car is just so much fun at these tracks. It’s amazing at both Red Bull Ring and Hockenheimring Short versions.
Good question, I had to check. It was the Nissan Silvia (S15) R3 Spec. So then it’s a Nissan Silvia, but a Real Racing 3 version of it. They boosted some of the specs. It’s a really fun car to drive because it’s just glued to the track!
I don’t like either, and I try to avoid both. What I mean is, I try to figure out what a car does and then drive it so I’m not experiencing that. I don’t know what I would do if I had to choose because both are highly undesirable. It’s interesting you ask because the Radical, which is in the weekly time trial has pretty severe understeer at speed. I really don’t like it because I find it pretty unpredictable. So maybe I prefer oversteer since I can feel it happening and react to it. I don’t really feel when a car is stuck in understeer until I’m already heading too wide into the corner… and then there’s so little you can do without going off track. At least with oversteer I can quickly get off the throttle and correct the slide.
Really!?! That’s hilarious!!😂 I didn’t know that was possible. Maybe I’ll have to make a new video someday where I go from negative points to +1000. 🤔😃
In multiplayer i dont like the system of ghost cars... it only degrades the skills you need to win... and i also dont like the partiality that is created in multiplayer races like everyone should be given the same car with the same amount of upgrades... so there will be equality in the race and the skilled one will win...
You’re mixing up two things I think. That’s not a series. There’s Formula 1 (all gas) and then there’s Formula E (all electric). Anyhow, if you’re looking for the electric races, they’re over in the motorsports area. I believe some of the events are still open to people who don’t own the cars.
Yes. Lime rock Park with its 3 variants was added in January 2023. Other than that it has been quite a while. I expect they were focussing their efforts on Real Racing Next, which has now been cancelled. Hopefully we start seeing more effort going back into RealRacing3!
This is it, online multiplayer. But if you’re talking about actually interacting with people, then there are quite a few places. In fact, if you just go into the description area of this very video, there are several links to places where you could interact with people.
Exactly, it’s 100% my fault! However, I had to do the restore, because I wasted a whole bunch of gold in the process. It was for the purpose of making a video, and I forgot that I should’ve waited until this session of OMP was over like I have done in the past. However, I wanted to get this video out before the next update… Lesson learned!😅
Sure I did, you can see it in the big red sign right in the middle of the screen at 0:35. However, I utilized a trick to minimize its impact on me. I discussed it in the video. 😉
I feel it’s incredibly unfair that when you finish down in the midfield, you get points deducted. There should be no negative points. Your taking time to play OMP, and there are still cheaters, so they should make the winning and top places higher paying, but should not be penalizing people for playing…
It’s a complicated system. If there’s never negative points, then it’s no longer about who is the best racer, it’s just about whoever plays the most. That’s why they can’t do that system. I once asked them to provide extra points for people who win, but that also brings up a problem. People with two devices and two accounts simply race themself, and make sure one car always wins. Then it has nothing to do with skill, and only to do with a time investment. One thing to consider is that you are actually getting paid to run every single race. You earn fame and R$ every race depending on your position. The points or a bonus on top of this. In real life racing, there are many organizations where you both lose end gain points depending on where are you finish. So it is actually part of real life racing. It’s not about who races the most in real life, but who races the best on a fairly consistent basis.
NOTE: you can’t undo your penalty. Driving with two tires on and two tires off takes away the effect of the penalty. However it’s not always possible to do that effectively. There’s always a bit of a loss.

I stopped at 1002, I don’t want to take risks, I’ll take 12 coins.
Hi ME7 can i ask what do you prefer understeer or oversteer?
At least with oversteer I can quickly get off the throttle and correct the slide.
just saying, it is actually possible to go into the negative points, once went with an alt account and went there lol
How do you find the formula 1 E races
You’re mixing up two things I think. That’s not a series. There’s Formula 1 (all gas) and then there’s Formula E (all electric). Anyhow, if you’re looking for the electric races, they’re over in the motorsports area. I believe some of the events are still open to people who don’t own the cars.
How much gold does the 1st place in the list earns?
It doesn’t pay any extra for 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It pays by tiers.
@@ME7_RR3 ok, i will rephrase: what is a maximum gold you can get in OMP?
Is there new tracks since 2022?
Yes. Lime rock Park with its 3 variants was added in January 2023. Other than that it has been quite a while. I expect they were focussing their efforts on Real Racing Next, which has now been cancelled. Hopefully we start seeing more effort going back into RealRacing3!
No cheaters at all? strange i get them almost every race
We're can I meet real players in this game?
This is it, online multiplayer. But if you’re talking about actually interacting with people, then there are quite a few places. In fact, if you just go into the description area of this very video, there are several links to places where you could interact with people.
@@ME7_RR3 thanks I will look
Well if you didn't restore after you bought a car none of this wouldn't happened
We all did it at least once... Sometimes you just want to try the car🤷♂️
And this is why I typically don’t do OMP… 😂
Exactly, it’s 100% my fault! However, I had to do the restore, because I wasted a whole bunch of gold in the process. It was for the purpose of making a video, and I forgot that I should’ve waited until this session of OMP was over like I have done in the past. However, I wanted to get this video out before the next update… Lesson learned!😅
You did not get penalty after going off track on that fast corner
Sure I did, you can see it in the big red sign right in the middle of the screen at 0:35. However, I utilized a trick to minimize its impact on me. I discussed it in the video. 😉
@@ME7_RR3 ohh my bad. 😅 Thanksss
