As someone who put 20-30 minutes into playing Power Stone 2, it's painful to read your comment. You should give our show another shot but also learn the format of our show. But seriously, the format of our show is that we play games on the show that most of haven't played before. We're going to be terrible at it. It's the format of the show. I'm sure it's a great game. -Nick Murphy
Hey sounds like you've never seen our show. Just a little background about it: We play a game (usually one we've never played before) for 20-30 minutes and rate it based on our experience. I understand your frustration with us not getting "THE FUCKING POWER STONES!!" Sorry man, 2 out of 3 of us have never played this game before. Check out some of our other episodes. Maybe you'll dig it. If not, no biggie. It's not for everyone. -Nick Murphy
So just a little background on our show in case you've never seen it. We play a game for 20-30 minutes (usually a game that we've never played before) and decide if we like it and would keep playing (Continue) or never play it again (Game Over). It's our first impressions, the show isn't written, it's all improv, we're going to be terrible at most if not all games. So yes, fuck us. -Nick Murphy
I love how Nick an Josh Game Over'd just cuz they got freakin OWNED! This game is a definite must-play btw! Steampunk Skater Chick FOR LIFE GOD DAMMIT!!!!
Must-play is an understatement. That being said, the world needs Power Stone 3. Power Stone with online play, I'd disappear into my room, never to be seen again.
Your show never ceases to make me smile. I started off as an egoraptor fan, and when Game Grumps came around, I found JonTron. Then, through him, I found you guys; I'm never short of something funny anymore. Congrats on the 100,000 subscribers!.
IMHO: Power Stone 1&2 are the best fighting games I've ever played. My brother bought me a dreamcast last birthday so we could play Power Stone and Crazy Taxi. It isn't even nostalgia, they are just really good games. It's like wave race, you don't just play it because it's so nostalgic, you play it because it's really fun and still really nice to play. Not good enough to keep me from buying Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, GTA, Dragon Age, GOW, Bioshock and all the other mind blowing games we have these days but shit, some old console games are still really worth the money you pay.
Powerstone, Soul Caliber I, Project Justice, and Dreamcast fighting games were ahead of their time. Imagine if they made the first Powerstone games in 2014? would be crazy..Powerstone I is better though because it's more like a fighting game, PS 2 is better for playing with a friend. Once you learn about the transformation fusions, the game becomes GREAT! They played like noobs w/o the special moves lol
Man, I love Power Stone. I didn't think anyone else knew about it, and then suddenly you guys and Two Best Friends play it within a week of each other. Hell yes.
I think I've become addicted to Continue?. It's the only thing on youtube I've been watching lately, and I even ordered a copy of Ready Player One because of the continuecast :D Best channel on youtube.
This game is so easy to pick up and play. I don't understand how Nick could be so bad at this. I mean he was literally hitting the jump button more times than necessary. Literally pissed me off a little on how terrible and completely clueless he was during the first fight.
***** na, it's inexcusable. i love Nick, but the DC controller is literally the SNES controller with an analog stick and triggers for the R and L butts. maybe the dick-like cable protruding from the bottom of the controller tripped him up. spamming 'jump' is not an attack.
PIGIDDUPPIGIDDUP! I wonder how this would've gone down if you guys found out the Arcade mode with up to four players. This game and the first is a huge part of my childhood. I'm really glad time was taken to play it. :D
No, I saw that, but you're not suppossed to get them once and that's it. There's a reason why they keep popping up inside containers, and just randomly. These two are the only people I have ever watched play and not seen at least three transformations per fight.
PSP powers tone collection is the best alternative with extras included into the game such as art, music, extras, more weapons and crafting etc, so that's the best we get
Hey there, I have an email from someone from June and one from July 2012 (maybe one of those is you). In both emails, I explained said " We have a Dreamcast and I think we have Power Stone 2. Other than that, send any other games." Danny Bourke sent this to us last March. I'm not sure what's "not cool" about this. -Nick Murphy
Thats cool that you went back through the emails to find out if that was acurate, shows real dedication to the fans, you guys go above and beyond the normal youtuber.
You guys should totally do a sub show (like Continuecast) where you complete a game that all 3 of you have continued (or at least two have). I think it'd be pretty awesome and would boost your views more :D
So were you guys using an original Dreamcast copy of the game? Because according to Wikipedia, "The Dreamcast version of the game is one of the more rare games for the system, worth up to $200 according to the rarity guide."
It's nice to see you playing Dreamcast games, although sad to see you didn't have a third controller so all 3 of you could play at the same time. Nick and Josh could team up vs. Paul and stomp him into the ground.
Paul explains in the beginning that you can press the triggers after you get enough power stones to do super moves. nobody does this during the entire video. profound sadness.
They take donations/suggestions from fans. They've bought their own games before. If their fans want to support the show, I don't see how that makes them "fake."
Wow, You guys had such a FUN-TIME playing this!!! I didn't even know you guys had a NEW VIDEO...I just saw my computer spitting out Rainbows and Candy! Your Happiness and Joy, must of been felt throughout the Inter-Web!!! When there is a 'Common Love' for a game..A Player Gets His Wings!!! PICKITUP!!! -SWFLGamers
Dreamcasts make a lot of noise if you place them on carpeting, a bet, or other non-smooth surface. Basically the system needs a lot of 'fresh air' around it to keep cool so the fan isn't kicking at the highest speed. They also had a tendency to pick up a lot of dust, so keeping them clean is important as well, and the fans they came with sometimes were a bit louder. We usually replace the fans with a more modern one that has better bearings to mitigate this problem.
You still badly need to play Pa Rappa the Rapper. I'm still holding my breath for something as funny as the lengthy description of what a Heavy Nova is.
I've been playing power stone for awhile. Whipped it out for me and 3 others to play recently and we still had alot of fun. Very simplistic. In short burst its pretty good. You hear those openings on the levels too? "AN AQUATIC ADVENTURE! HOW EXCITING!" I cant get over this guy. He sounds so relaxed considering all the crazy shit that's about to go down.
Jontron has been plugging you on his channel/game grumps for so long I finally caved and checked you guys out. Thank you God for these three men is all I have to say.
How many times does NIck have to post almost this exact comment before people understand what they are watching? One day an episode is gonna start and its gonna be Paul, Josh and Nick's exploded brain on the couch. Will you be happy then, internet? WILL YOU BE HAPPY THEN. I
Whoa, Two Best Friends did this one this week as well. I know it's a coincidence since these are done pretty far in advance. Still, pretty cool coincidence.
Fair enough, it's just like...I feel bad for Nick! They explain it at the start of show and in multiple replies in the comments for almost every video they upload. I guess it's a good sign because it shows new people are watching, but man that shit gets tiresome.

OMG, I love your show so much
🤩🥰❤️😘😍🤙🤪😁😆🤯🥹😀😄😃🎈✊👏😂🤣
Holy shit, this game is insane
The Sega Dreamcast was one crazy system
I know, right? D3 was definitely no D2. But at least D2 had the Knuclepuck.
So just a little background on our show in case you've never seen it. OHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Thank so much! Nope. Aside from sketches and more cinematic stuff, everything on the show is improv and made up on the spot as we're playing.
I love how Nick an Josh Game Over'd just cuz they got freakin OWNED! This game is a definite must-play btw! Steampunk Skater Chick FOR LIFE GOD DAMMIT!!!!

Good to know. Thanks man.
my favorite thing about Continue? is that every episode is better than the last,
because every new episode has all the memories of the older episodes.

Wow PowerStone got 2 game overs!?

I think I've become addicted to Continue?. It's the only thing on youtube I've been watching lately, and I even ordered a copy of Ready Player One because of the continuecast :D
Best channel on youtube.

This game looks fantastic! Another funny episode as usual. Continue for Congress!

PIGIDDUPPIGIDDUP!
I wonder how this would've gone down if you guys found out the Arcade mode with up to four players. This game and the first is a huge part of my childhood. I'm really glad time was taken to play it. :D

Congrats on 100,000 subscribers guys.
The fact that there hasn't been a new Power stone game this whole time is a crime.
PSP powers tone collection is the best alternative with extras included into the game such as art, music, extras, more weapons and crafting etc, so that's the best we get
This episode is why I wish you guys were my friends.
100.000 subs. You guys juuuust deserve it :)

almost 100k subs! you guys deserve it!
Never stop doin what you do. Much love guys
You guys should totally do a sub show (like Continuecast) where you complete a game that all 3 of you have continued (or at least two have). I think it'd be pretty awesome and would boost your views more :D
I LOVE how happy Josh is at the Intro,
yeahhh!!!! such a great game
I'm glad you guys finally busted out the good ol' dreamcast
Power Stone 2 got me through 3rd and 4th grade.
HAPPY 100,000 SUBS!
So were you guys using an original Dreamcast copy of the game? Because according to Wikipedia, "The Dreamcast version of the game is one of the more rare games for the system, worth up to $200 according to the rarity guide."
Hey guys, I'm gonna be in Hatboro for a few weeks. Let's casually pass each other on the streets of Philly!
I remember loving this game as a kid, but I played it about a year ago and it wasn't quite as fun as I remember.... but w/ 4 players it's super fun.
Awesome show guys, have not seen that game in like 10 years, want to go find a DC and that game now lol
That intro is probably one of the funniest things I've seen on UA-cam in a while.
It's nice to see you playing Dreamcast games, although sad to see you didn't have a third controller so all 3 of you could play at the same time. Nick and Josh could team up vs. Paul and stomp him into the ground.
Of course Paul played the Dreamcast. His Sega Channel dad probably bought it for him
I love Powerstone, it was one of those games where anyone could win if you are new to the game
THIS GAME IS AMONG THE BEST! I'm so glad that you guys played it.
Paul explains in the beginning that you can press the triggers after you get enough power stones to do super moves. nobody does this during the entire video. profound sadness.
I kind of think it would be cool to have a continue shirt with "Pick it up" on it. I'd buy that.
I'd continue that shit. Game looks awesome. The only one that didn't Paul it in this game was Paul!
They take donations/suggestions from fans. They've bought their own games before. If their fans want to support the show, I don't see how that makes them "fake."
There is quite a bit of powerstone love this week, Best friends played it and now continue. Glad to see the series get more credit.
This is the best continue openings ever!
Aw, sweet! Now that I know you guys have a Dreamcast, I could probably send you a game or two.
Nick, Paul, and Josh vs Matt, Pat, and Woolie.
Easily one of the best episodes in a while, if not one of the best ever.
PICKITUP!!! -SWFLGamers
An awesome game from my favorite system! Thanks for playing this.
Wooooop Continue? likes Trigun!!! Just when I thought you guys couldn't get any better.
remember its gameover for them, not you, it's their opinion on the game if they would play it again or not haha
OHHHH NOOOOO, this game seems sick as shit though. Paul gets it.
I loved that intro.
I love this game? How could the two of you game over it? It's a dream cast classic.
Well, there's the Power Stone Collection on the PSP, and that has both games, so you can try that.
Dreamcasts make a lot of noise if you place them on carpeting, a bet, or other non-smooth surface. Basically the system needs a lot of 'fresh air' around it to keep cool so the fan isn't kicking at the highest speed. We usually replace the fans with a more modern one that has better bearings to mitigate this problem.
Best friends brawl just did this one. I love when things come together.
I grew up with a Dreamcast. When I started hearing the noise I thought "Yep, that's the dreamcast."
This is the best multiplayer game on the DC imo :) some of the best times of my life playing this with my friends.
I fuckin' love Powerstone 2. I game over Nick and Josh. Paultinue all the way!
He sounds so relaxed considering all the crazy shit that's about to go down.
no one used the super moves when you get the tranformations
Jontron has been plugging you on his channel/game grumps for so long I finally caved and checked you guys out.
Thank you God for these three men is all I have to say.
That Diablo 3 shirt
of course Paul played Sega dreamcast. damn guy had Sega dad
Man, since Two Best Friends did a brawl of this and now Continue, I really wanna see some WORLDS COLLIDE and all them fight each other
nick is processing what just happen
How many times does NIck have to post almost this exact comment before people understand what they are watching?
One day an episode is gonna start and its gonna be Paul, Josh and Nick's exploded brain on the couch. Will you be happy then, internet? WILL YOU BE HAPPY THEN.

Whoa, Two Best Friends did this one this week as well. I know it's a coincidence since these are done pretty far in advance. Still, pretty cool coincidence.
"You can probably hear it, it sounds like a jet engine in the living room.. I mean, studio"
ol
Never has the introduction made me laugh aloud in public. Until now.
That D3 shirt is amazing. :]
Come on two of the three gave it a game over?!? I would totally continue!
This is one of the best episodes I've seen yet
Fair enough, it's just like...I feel bad for Nick! They explain it at the start of show and in multiple replies in the comments for almost every video they upload. I guess it's a good sign because it shows new people are watching, but man that shit gets tiresome.
I loved this game when i was younger, I'm kind of disappointed that it got 2 game overs.
It's the power stone 2 double feature this week!
