Racing + Flight Combo Simulator Rig - Easy DIY Setup

  • Once you start down the rabbit hole of racing simulators, it's only a matter of time before you start realizing that you can learn to fly in some pretty incredible flight simulators, too! So, therein lies the problem: "How do I setup my sim rig so that I can both race and fly at the same time without having to do a whole bunch of setup and tear down?"
    This video is the answer to that question! I'll show you exactly how I'm DIY'ing a setup so that I can do both racing, and flight, and within 30 SECONDS of each other. That's right!!     Those poor intake fans on your PC. Having to suck in all that couch. Haha. Don't know how much load you put on the PC but may want to think about reconfiguring the location so it has fresh air supplying the case.

      Hmm interesting, I appreciate you calling that out I hadn't thought of it. There's 4 inches between the PC and the couch, do you think it needs more than that? Thanks for your help dude!

      @@bigboytoysTTR 4 inches is fine, based on 40% rule for clearance, concern would be having to clean everything from the fibers and dust your couch contains. The build up could cause issues down the road. If you rotate the PC having the exhaust facing the wall use 40% of fan size as the margin of distance. Technically it's exhaust so not the end of the world if it's closer a bit, but intake I would recommend nothing like carpet or couches in front for above reasons.
