1 small red beet
2 tbsp olive oil
220 g whole-grain pasta (spaghetti, linguine)
2 tsp. poppy seeds
2 garlic cloves
100 g goat cheese
salt, freshly ground black pepper to taste
60 ml of the water in which the pasta was cooked
parmesan to serve
