How I’m finding foilboarding? Fascinating, delightful and, at 76, wishing I was 40 years younger! A trapeze on a 470 dinghy was about as exciting as it got back in the ‘60s.
Just cracked the foil water start. Had a few good runs so far. Upwind, tacking and gybing is next on the list. It's way different to riding a twin tip. Had some epic wipeouts so far. It's so fun to learn too. Each run puts a huge smile on my face. Good luck with your foiling 😉
@@OurKiteLife thanks for replying! I recently bought my first foil board with 90cm mast, and I was thinking maybd it's too tall to begin with. So I was curious
a bigger surf wing and shorter lines for the soul would help u a lot to improve.. with good skill 9 or 10m is all need being a lil person .. also it will make downloop transitions easier and less scary which are the easiest way to keep line tension when learning transitions and a bigger wing will slow u down in a good way working on maneuvers ( something like the slingshot space skate or Moses onda)..
Thanks for the advice! I'm looking forward to busting out the foilboard again in the spring - not too keen on learning in winter weather. I'll keep these tips in mind though for when it warms up a bit :)
Nice video, for my second foil, I will choicen a total length mats 110 cm in full carbon in a close futur . Because when I’m going fast up wind on my present Alu foil airush I’m in an angle I basically hit the small waves which slow me a bit. That why I think for my riding a 110 cm is a must
For what we paid ($79) it's good, but you get what you pay for. The board itself does not float, and the wings started developing cracks after about a dozen sessions which was very disappointing.

My foil comes in today! Can't wait to give it a try. Love seeing more women in the sport...you go girl (:
That’s exciting!! Have fun with your new foil :)
Just watching this. That rebar looks like a nightmare for the kite, and dangerous if you trip!
Luckily it got better over the years. The city clean up crew was always very helpful in cutting and removing rebar if we asked :)

Great video, I got my foil this spring so lots of room for improvement. Good luck.
Cool Video and nice area! Greetings from Switzerland
Nice. you are progressing well. I improve about 1% for each session I foil. Its great fun.
Thanks! It's a challenge for sure, but definitely a lot of fun too
Super helpful if you could tell the wind speed? New to kiting and watching you to get some pointers. Great VLOGS.
8 to 12 knots during various portions of the video.
Thanks for watching our Vlogs :)
Good girl!
When u turn do u have to do a heel or topside transition?
You can do either but most start with going from heel side to toe side
How tall is your mast? I am sorry if you mentioned in the video and I missed it
We don’t have this particular one anymore but if I remember correctly it was 90cm

Yeah that's what we've heard too - that in waves you need a super long mast
I had a question... What do you think about the CR:X board??
