Inspiration for writing my vampire/ghost-story novel...considered for inclusion -- suggested by collaborator & actor Rodrigo Garcia Olza of Barcelona, Spain -- to complement my current musical selections thus far...A lovely piece. Listening to this musical selection acts as a reminder of the importance past lives play in our current dilemmas...

Being this is the only picture in this piece, it sounds like it's not about him, but about his lover, longing for him, waiting for his safe return.

Very astute analysis! You're very good at deciphering visualizations. Suspect visual intelligence your strong suit. Yeah, homoerotic themes run just as rampant in medieval musings as today. (The more things change the more they stay the same.) My buddy Rodrigo though his music -- and our writings to each other -- is really changing the course of my novel. Right now my book falls somewhere between the traditional vampire and Poppy. Z. Brite. You know Ann Rice's book's were all homoerotic -- as much of the vampire literature before it. But Poppy Z. Brite was just out in front with it. And like Poppy's books, in mine there's far more drinking of alcohol than blood!

Actually I'm not a fan of those two writers as far as reading the book, my favorite is Michael Crichton. Although, I'm sure many movies have been made about the medieval times from their books, which are always my favorite. On the other hand movies made from MC books are a total disappointment because you cannot get the full meaning of the book through the movie because there's many little details, that if you don't catch them, you lose the gist of the whole point in the book.

Kiki Malone I never read Ann Rice. I am a vampire fan -- but not of her style. I liked the movie INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE -- the movie and it's soundtrack; that's how I know of Ann Rice. I have read some Poppy Z. Brite (she hasn't put out much...but did you know she's the one that wrote Courtney Love's biography? Poppy's a strange, interesting bird -- why I am somewhat drawn to her. You probably know she was born female, but known today as (male) Billy Martin. [She has distanced herself from her early books.] What I like about Poppy/Billy is flagrant use of description in her novels...even smells. And admire the fact she is so open about humanity's natural tendency toward bisexuality.) I, too, am a Michael Crichton fan.

I like vampire movies. Not the shows though. The shows are cheeze and kind of stupid. But the movies, Blade 1 and 2, Daybreak, Underworld and many more I can't think name of right now.

Has anyone heard or sung Morales' missa (cortilla) based on this tune? It's very nice!
