Amazing! So much work behind something now a days we take for granted! Coming up with solutions for all the problems a new technology like sampling might bring up, must have been such a hard job. Waiting for part two. Thanks!

Glory to God that he should have inspired, resourced, and connected these people together. His hand is on it - right down to ensuring that a group of Austrians who might have been isolated from the music community by their intimidating competence and other worldly diligence end up having to go up to other companies and say "Can you please help us?" This ensures that the vibe is right from the start - we have this company that achieves at this extraordinary standard but which is at the same time entirely unpretentious - accessible. That's wonderful.
This has had the effect of ensuring that amongst the users there is a culture of mutual appreciation instead of fearful one-upmanship. When I think of VSL the word that comes to mind is - JOY.
I am completely awed by the level of commitment and ingenuity that was needed to enable people to have the sound of an orchestra at their fingertips.

Brings back memories. The Performance Set was ground breaking (legatos, repetitions, etc.)! Wonderful to see how VSL got started. Thanks for all the years of delighting musicians everywhere.

Thank God for the terrible Tirolean weather! I found the soundtrack behind the interview chaotic and distracting.
