Tally Hall's Greatest Mystery
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Tally Hall is a band with a long history, stretching even beyond their disbanding in 2011. With Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, Good and Evil, Ruler of Everything, The Bidding, Hidden in the Sand, Turn the Lights Off, Shia Labeouf Live, Miracle Musical, a webshow, and much more! But no project has as much wonder and mystery surrounding it than Happy Monster Band.
the most logical answer would be that Rob was starting his career as a disney kids show songwriter and somehow convinced the others to join in.
I just know them from Hawaii Part II

You have just unlocked a vast array of dormant memories from my early childhood. Thank you.
Omg same
Same here dud
Same my parents saved these since they were my brothers favorite so I grew up on this
Same here
Same.
I don't think we should disregard the possibility that they purposefully never let a lot of information slip because it'd be funny to see people so intensly investigating a children's show with little to no pay-off
I just realized that the mystery being alive is how the show generates more interest
Yessir
it’s a crime that zubin is the yellow character, joe is the blue, and rob is the red one, WHYYYY

I CANT IDENTIFY THEM WITH THE WRONG COLOURS NOOOOOO 😭😭😭
NOOOO MISSED OPPORTUNITY
I know I've already commented this before but the director of the hidden in the sand music video is Steve Loter. It says in his IMDb that he worked on happy monster band so that's probably the most likely reason.
He also worked on The Ghost and Molly McGee.
Unrelated, but nice fink pfp.
@@NefariousTomato I love obscure cartoons
whoa i watched that music video today
I think that according to a Keep Up the Good Work episode, Loter met Tally Hall THROUGH Happy Monster Band and started work on the HiTS music video afterwords.
The thing that bugs me the most is how they didn't match the colors with the monsters and the ties
FR
bro, I just lifted up one of the oldest rocks in my childhood I have forgotten
Same.
Same. I think I saw like two episodes tho
You re-unlocked multiple memories of me watching this show as a kid
This is exactly how I found tally hall. A few years ago me and some friends were looking at old shows we watched and I mentioned HMB. One of my friends knew tally hall and played me MMMM. And here we are.
this was the first video i watched from you and was surprised how well you summed everything up, and I went back and watched all the weezer and other videos you made and you became one of my favorite youtubers in the span of a month. VERY VERY impressive
Thanks for giving me a shot! I’m glad you enjoyed.
The dude who wrote "The Mind Electric" was also somehow a blue little square monster
You're walking in the woods. There's no one around and your phone is dead. Out of the corner of your eye, you spot him.

They worked with Steve Loter on Hidden in the Sand. IIRC, he contacted their manager and they found they had time to write the songs on tour
wow, how did you figure this out?
Tally hall has LITTERALY permeated my life and Ive never even known how much of their music ive seen without realizing it was them. Everytime I like a song its ALWAYS tally hall or one of them from tally hall. THEY ARE EVERYWERE 😅
DROPPING THIS RN!!
Apparently the guy who animated the “hidden in the sand” video was working closely on Disney cartoons at that time.
The group and him kinda knew each other and (speculating) that that’s probably how they got their show as the guy was also a director.
This whole time i was humming the lyrics to The bidding
I love tally hall i don't know how this ended up on my homepage but thank you to the algorithm you have blessed me this morning
Maaaaaan, this just hit me so hard. I'm from Argentina, but here those shorts were transmited and I saw them (with spanish dub, obviously) but don't know Tally Hall have done the original voices, this blew my mind!
I cannot believe that my favourite band was a part of that WHICH WAS MY FAVOURITE SHOW?? I’m so bewildered.
You just unlocked a core memory
Dear boy
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. You opened up a tucked away memory for me!! No wonder I love their music so much
I have forgotten about this Show, you have unlocked A Memory
AINT NO WAY
THAT WAS A SHOW THAT I GENUINELY LIKED WATCHING AS A KID
WAS NOT EXPECTING
Playhouse Disney was famous for its They Might Be Giants connections, so I wouldn't be surprised if the people in charge of it just liked quirky alt rock.
You just unlocked a core memory. I suddenly remember this show so well.
this just unlocked the earliest memory i think i have holy crap
YOU JUST UNLOCKED SOMETHING I NEVER THOUGHT I'D REMEMBER SEEING, HOLY DAMN I USED TO WATCH THAT AS A REALLY LITTLE KID👀
I totally remember that show too!!! I’ve just recently got back into Tally Hall and delving deeper into their stuff. Never made the connection before now, that’s insane!!
I love how all the colors are mixed up too
It still blows my mind that The Bidding and Shia Labeouf Live are sung by the same guy
I would argue the break up is still tally halls biggest mystery
andrew posted a tweet a few months ago during the joe hawley drama saying they broke up because of his mental health
I loved happy mister band!
Bro just unlocked our oldest core memories of that show and thought we wouldn't notice
What the heck?!?! You just unlocked a part of my childhood I totally forgot!!!
we all know that you were the one who produced the show, mark.
Oh my god i forgot about this show! You've unlocked a core memory for me
Please do a TMBG video someday. We would love it
You just opened a floodgate of memories from my early childhood that I forgot were there, thank you.
Also, one of the shows from my childhood was made by the same band who made Ruler of Everything??? How did I just now find this out-
I'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS AND YOU BROUGHT IT BACK!!!!!
I lost my minds when I first found this out
Bro when you mentioned "Happy Monster Band" unlocked a forgotten memory
Literally just restored a memory in my brain
THAT USED TO BE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD SHOWS. THE FACT THAT ITS TALLY HALL MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER
finding out tally hall did a playhouse disney show feels the same as learning that they might be giants did all the music for mickey mouse clubhouse
hold on what the fuck
Ikr.
My childhood just came back to me 😢
You just unlocked memories I didn't know were forgotten
A wave of heavy nostalgia hit me with that old show, really bring me back to my childhood
Hawaii part 2 has to be their SECOND biggest mystery, of course
You just unlocked a memory I didn’t remember having
ok eridan
I never even knew this show existed, or so I thought. Turns out this was a repressed memory and this video brought its existence back into my mind
I used to watch this show when I was little and tbh I still do lol, I rediscovered it when I first started listening to TallyHall ❤
OHMY GOD, I am a year late but Happy Monster Band was one of my favorite shows as a kid, but I'd completely forgotten about it into adulthood. Explains the weird deja I got from Tally Hall that I could never quite place!
The person who made the hidden in the sand music video had connections to this show
They were in collaboration with a animator at Disney who animated “Hidden in the Sand” since they have a connection to him and he’s the director of said show its not impossible that he asked for them to work on the show alongside him
You unlocked so many memories
Something I never thought of for a decade and you decided to make me unlock it
OMG I WATCHED THAT AND I TOTALLY FORGOT UNTIL NOW!!! THANKS!!
My childhood memories just blinded me like a flash bang
Dude this just unlocked a memory, thank you so much
this video unlocked a memory i didn't even know i had
wow. hopefully this guy makes a full video on tallyhall
I REMEMBER THAT SHOWWWWWW OMG TALLY HALL PLAYED IT NO WAYYYYY MY LIFE JUST CAME FULL CIRCLE
How did I forget about that show. That’s pure core memories unlocked
You can't just unearth a memory buried so deep in my head like that
I fucking love the brutal honesty of a straight up "I do NOT know" on one of these videos, feels so refreshing to know not every mystery has been solved yet
THE MEMORIES YOU JUST UNLOCKED MY GUY. I totally forgot about this show, I feel like I’m having flashbacks
BRO THIS UNLOCKED A CHILDHOOD MEMORY I'VE FORGOTTEN 😭😭
I used to watch playhouse Disney everyday when I was little
HOW DID I NOT REALIZE ROB CANTOR WAS IN TALLY HALL
when my mom was alive, it kinda came full circle for both of us, I never knew about tally hall, neither did my mom but we knew about the show and watched it together, well before she died we figured out something, that tally hall is the happy monster band
I swear I used to watch this, and I think I finally found it. Thanks.
ps this is the show where a characters dad watches a concert right
OMG I THOUGHT THAT CARTOON WAS A FEVER DREAM.
Oh my gosh, you've just brought back a faint memory from when I was 2 years old, I know because this looks very VERY familiar.
You just unlocked memories that even I didn’t know I had.
I DID NOT KNOW TALLY HALL IS ON THAT SHOW, and you just unlocked my memory damn
HOLY SHIT REALLY? I remember this show and now I have to revisit it. The way I found out about tally hall was through Hawaii part 2 and then moving to banana man and so forth. Unbelievable.
they came up on my recommended and i am so overjoyed they did
I’m so happy I’m not the only one who remembers them from happy monster band
i remember watching happy monster band i think there was an episode about cleanliness that went to a tune very simular to "goodday" thats all the info i can remember :(
also kinda remember that it didnt have the dark part in goodday
WHAT!? That’s why their songs are so nostalgic even though I just discovered them last year.
I remember watching this show as a kid! No wonder I like the band now.
I completely forgot about that cartoon I only have very small memory of it but I think I remember enjoying it
You have unlocked memories from a time I thought to be too early to stick. Congratulats! I am now confused.
I didn't know I saw Happy Monster Band until I saw them, then it all came flooding back...
THAT WAS TALLY HALL??? THAT WAS OVER 5 YEARS BEFORE I HAD EVEN HEARD OF THEM THATS CRAZY WHAT
SO THATS WHY I HAVE SO MUCH DEJA VU WITH TALLY HALL???
I KNEW THEM FROM MY FAVORITE SHOW?? OH MY GOD THIS EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.
This video opened up the deepest reaches of my oldest memories. I was born in 2004, but I remember Happy Monster Band when it was airing.
oh shish i remember this, i totally forgot about that show, i loved it

Holy shit I didn't know the three members of Tally Hall where a part of one of my favorite cartoons, I have completely forgotten about happy monster band but as soon as you mentioned it, I began to remember a couple of those memories of me watching it
Bro the fact that I grew up with tally hall without even realizing it is still shocking to me. Happy monster band was my SHIIIIIII.. and all of playhouse Disney in general
I REMEMBER THIS SHOW oh my god. ive been a tally hall fan for a long time it seems!
That show used to be my Favorite show in my Childhood.
You just unlocked old and lost memories.
Holy shit this unlocked nostalgia I completely forgot about. Had no idea they made this show
I used to catch that show a long time ago on cable TV, before I've ever heard of Tally Hall, it's so bizzare.
Dang. This kinda reminds me of They Might Be Giants doing songs for kid shows and Tiny Toons animating some of their songs.
Dude just casually reminded me all my childhood memories
Taken for a ride and just apathy are still two of my favorite songs ever, ruler of everything is also up there though!
Omg this dug up memories from the DEEPEST corners of my brain
Holy crap. Tally Hall has been secretly been in my mind since forever.
