- First time watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, and it's 3:29AM right now as i'm typing this. I finally got this video copyright-free, yaaaay! I hope some people enjoy this lol
Reaction, reaction, reaction, oh and first time watching, also movie reaction and guardians of the galaxy vol 2 (that's for the algorithm, haha)
#reaction #moviereaction #guardiansofthegalaxyreaction
You can watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 here, if you want: ua-cam.com/video/OjnlXhpdOO0/v-deo.html
In this world that gets filled with apathy more and more, finding something that touches the heart is a good thing.
33:10 this scene always gives me the chills. The music, the visuals, the crying baby and the sentences Ego says... "Stop pretending you aren't what you are, one in billions, trillions even more" just wow
36:06 also the "ROCKET, WHERE IS QUILL?" always kills me. It shows they're a real family
What a great reaction! I'm so glad you liked it that much. It's one of the best movies there is. Just funny, touching, action and more.
For the first time in years i listened to that Nickelback song and here you are singing it haha!
Before Vol. 3 you have to see:
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
This movie makes me cry every time. The ending is incredibly moving IMO.
Nebula's story with Avengers Infinity War and End Game gets even more interesting.
"Hey Twig!" . . . . There'll only be one Yondu.
omg my dad also loved this song im crying
Hi Amanda!! What a wonderful Monday surprise!!! The very best reaction on youtube to my fav movie of all time...been patiently waiting...thank you so much!!!! hugs!!
Fun fact: yondu arrow is made out of a rare metal called yaka
Good work! :D
Heey! Thank you so much, Jon! I apologize for the late reply. I'm very grateful for this. Muchas gracias, it helps a lot :)
Yeah those guys at the end were the original Guardians of the Galaxy.
The reaction I didn’t know I needed! Hope you enjoy Amanda!!!
correction, he only lost one dad that day
*Hug* 🫂❤
This movie hits me too & makes me think of my dad also. The song Groot was dancing to, Mr. Blue Sky, my dad loved Electric Light Orchestra & sci-fi was his favorite genre.
The 1st movie hits me too, the first scene is always heartbreaking to me personally because I've experienced that loss, except it was my dad & I was in my 20's when he passed away.
Funny, that opening had to grow on me. I miss the old flipping through comics of the source material opening the older marvel movies had. That's just me tho i do enjoy the MCU opening now. Anyway glad to see another reaction video from you, love your takes on these movies. That groot looks like Christopher Walkin bit got me 😂
There's also a Christmas special
Please watch The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special before you see volume III to possibly save you some questions.
GOTG has always been my favorite Marvel movie series I love James Gunn's work in general He's now head of DC though his running DC hasn't started yet I look forward to his work The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker volumes as compared to projects he had no involvement with such as The Flash, Blue Beatle, or Aquaman 2 which were approved before he was in charge.
The music video for this movie with Hasselhoff is worth checking out, and maybe reacting to.
Keep it up
I am Groot.
It was a very fun reaction. You have a magnificent voice; you should consider a career in voice acting or audiobooks.
You will need to go through the MCU before Volume 3, without spoiling anything these characters appear in certain movies that take place between Vol 2 and Vol 3. Roughly 30 or so movies in total between Iron Man and Guardians 3, so no shortage of content... theres a reason the MCU is probably the most reacted to series.
Biggest waste of time I ever spent. Like 2 slightly decent movies in 30. The MCU is an atrocity!
@@Nicolas.Vincent You're literally present on a video, of one of those decent movies, and there's certainly far more than 2, there's 3 Guardians movies for starters, and all 3 are exceptional. Beyond those, Iron Man, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Ragnarok, Infinity War, Endgame, No Way Home, Black Panther, even the first Avengers, the list goes on. Banger after banger. Those I just listed are just the 9/10's and above, too, so those are just the *really* great movies in the MCU. There's plenty more than that in the "decent" category.
There's a decent few that aren't great, like Thor 2 and Incredible Hulk, but yeah, just like every other reactor on UA-cam, she will love the MCU. By the end of Phase 3, there's no dry eye in the house. I'll bet on that.
Yup, that's what people told me so i'm not reacting to Vol 3 (yet) but i do have a question for you. I'm thinking about reacting to Deadpool since i've always been curious about it, do you think it's a good idea? As far as I know, Deadpool has its own separate story.
@@VColossalV 9/10? 🤣🤣🤣 Have you never seen a film before? There are tiktocks that rate a higher average than the MCU stable of horse shart. I'm willing to bet that you have personal home movies that I'd rate higher than the absolute litany of garbage presented as entertainment by the Disney Corp. Focus group entertainment.
I wish I had never wasted my time. After seeing the 1st Disney Star Wars remake, I left hope for that franchise completely. I won't be duped again. Guardians 2, I found not even half as entertaining than the 1st, characters getting more and more annoying. I liked Iron Man, and The Red Skull is literally the one and only cool Villain in the entire MCU, and he was only in 2 movies. They're not bringing him back. Honestly man, all of the films they make are meant to sell legos to little girls on par with boys. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but don't degrade yourself by claiming there's a Disney movie made under MCU or Star Wars banners one could logically rate a 9/10. You need to go screen the 1st 2 Alien, Terminator and Predator films. No viewer should ever have to pain stakingly sit through 50+ hrs of BS to reasonably enjoy a filmed story. It's a disgrace. Imo 🤷♂️😂

Deadpool is part of the X-Men series, which is not part of the MCU, that will however change with the third Deadpool movie, since Marvel got the rights to the characters back when they bought Fox. So until the next Deadpool movie, that is a separate franchise/universe. Without spoiling anything, it will be a good idea to go through the X-Men franchise at some point, it does become relevant to the MCU later on. Deadpool is kinda like Guardians in that it's a good standalone and doesn't necessarily need you to watch all the X-Men movies, so if you wanted you could just watch Deadpool, and the X-Men movies later on, preferably after Avengers Endgame, where the X-Men universe becomes relevant to the MCU.
To explain the character rights thing a bit, Marvel in the 90's sold some of their characters so various studios. The "Fox X-Men universe" actually predates the MCU and kind of kicked off modern superhero movies starting in 2000. The MCU began in 2008 with Iron Man. The X-Men franchise was in direct competition with the MCU for many years. As I said, a few years ago Disney/Marvel Studios bought out Fox completely, so they got the rights to the X-Men characters back after 20+ years. Sony own the rights to Spiderman, which Disney/Marvel Studios do work with later on, to allow him to appear in the MCU, though with a new actor... the old Sony Spiderman movies also become relevant too later on so you'll want to watch those at some point. Ideally the X-Men movies and the older Spiderman movies should be watched before the MCU as everyone else did originally, or after Avengers Endgame (end of MCU phase 3) if you want to jump into the MCU right away.
Watch the third movie its the best one
I have but one question about Groot's anatomy and it is if he barfs (like he in this movie) would barf out moss? What about his butt?
Lady you look like Linda Cardellini
The actor who plays the mutineer with second thoughts and helps Yondu, Rocket, and Groot escape is the director's brother, he is in a lot of his movies.
14:11 Thor fought against Ego and forced him not to leave the Dark Galaxy. with the ban on returning to earth (because Ego wanted to conquer the earth). If Heimdall reports that Ego has returned to earth, Thor will kill him...
that's why, Ego asked Yondu to get Peter back.
celestials are pure energy. creator of the “eternals” and “deviants”. to be able to interact on a planet, they transfer their entities in the form of gigantic humanoid armor (explanation = Taneleer Tivan the collector, guardian of the galaxy 1).
the celestials are experimenting on DNA and evolution. if they consider that the evolution of a race is counterproductive or are unfit to survive (people of thanos = titan) they exterminate the entire race.
Ego is another kind of celestial... it is a bioverse, a humanoid planet which absorbs all the ships and small planets found near it. he also plays with DNA, but he does not create "eternal" beings, but a celestial one (Peter). moreover, he does not seek to create armies of eternal, but to conquer the entire universe to be the most powerful celestial.
many people are wondering = why did he kill Peter's mother?
the answer is simple. Ego is “egocentric.” he needs others, but he shares nothing... he wants the whole universe for himself and Peter... when Meredith became pregnant that's the moment he put a tumor in her brain, because he didn't not share. and this is inevitably the moment when "heimdall" the view.
Just a short comment about the beginning of this movie, no man wants to be called "the one-inch man".
6:18 You've already put some thought into this?
Such a reytaryded, over the top, gimmicky movie. Why people like it, no clue. The lines are predictable. The dialogue is cliche squared. But hey, they paid for celebrity names and big special effects and classic music. Who needs intelligence or substance? only good thing is the concept/setting, carried over from the source material.
"Imagine Yondu caring for Peter like a real dad" . . . and this is where the tears come from :/
Great reaction!
This is probably my favourite Marvel movie because the emotional beats actually hit in a way most of the other movies don't. It's all about found family and surrogate parents, and those are tropes that really resonate with me. Blood doesn't really matter, bonds forged by affection and shared experience is what connect us. Nebula is also one of my favourite characters because she has one of the biggest arcs in the franchise, from daughter of Thanos to Guardian of the Galaxy. I like her balance of menace and sarcasm.
That whole ego monologue with clips of the galaxy suffering with the guardians music hits you right in the heart
In Vol 3 you will be destroyed
9:48 That's Michael Rosenbaum Amanda. He played Lex Luthor on Smallville.
LMFAO bro watched two Marvel movies out of order with no context 😂😂😂
0:24 what a wonderfully underrated song, Nickelback was always good and I'll die on that hill so come at me!
There's a saying, "you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family" But I've always thought that was backwards. Friends come into and drift out of our lives regardless of our control. But the people we choose to embrace as siblings, as mentors/parental figures, and even as our own. That is something truly beautiful and special.. And magical. THat is my take away from this movie. It doesn't matter who shared your genes it matters who shares your heart. ❤️
The team of ravages Sylvester Stallone formed in the end credits where the original guardians of the Galaxy team in the comic books with Yondu. This movie takes two place two months after the original so Groot is 2 months old also he is not the original groot reborn he's his son.
James Gunn crammed so many joke after-credits scenes in there, Amanda could barely get her serious story about her father out. That's both funny and sad.
Amanda, before you watch the 3rd Guardians movie, you have to watch the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, that comes after you watch most of the marvel movies, after the third Ant Man movie
Crichton doing his Peacekeeper voice. God I love Farscape.
Thank you for reacting appropriately when yondu says “he wasn’t your daddy”. I’ve seen so many reaction where people laugh at that and I’m like “read the room”. If you pay any attention you know yondu’s gonna die. They pretty much telegraphed it in his previous scene.
Beautiful singing to My Sweet Lord 😊
LOVE Ritchie Valens
Another fun video
You probably right about Zoe’s accent due to her parents heritage
Hi Amanda -- I'm sorry to hear about your father -- but, I'm sure that he sees you and is very proud of you . . . .
Will you be doing Guardians 3?
Love this vid! Don't worry Amanda, that song makes me weepy also ;)
"I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!" best line in this movie
By the way, if this movie DOESN'T make you cry, you have no heart.
Can't wait to see you react to part three.
Nice to see someone else who thinks this is better than 1... I love all 3, but this one especially has a special place in my heart because my dad is adopted so it hits me much harder.
marvel universe is waiting for you to start with captain america
Fun vid. ..also this is for The Hobbit 😊
Did you recognize Michelle Yeoh at the end?
Avatar Book Two.
Stan Lee made 22 cameo appearances in the MCU.
Im here for the world's cutest nervous/shocked head shakes! 😂
Please watch the holiday special and Gotg vol 3 too!
This movie has one of the most emotional send-offs in all of the MCU. Yondu is epic.
Bravo.
Dope
Hi hi . Wait you can’t be me. cause I’m me and there can be only one me 😸
1:10 Fun fact: It's a good song.
12:38 This one too. All of them. I may not comment on them all. I haven't decided. Stay tuned for exciting updates. Or not. You probably have better things to do.
You should definitely watch volume 3! If you watch the holiday special first that and what they explain during volume 3 explain everything you need to know.
This is how it usually happens for reactors that watch random MCU movies here and there assuming that seeing the whole series in order would be excessive - the little connections between the movies they've seen before start to make the dramatic scenes a little more dramatic and the funny scenes a little more funny, and then after they've watched roughly a dozen movies/roughly half the series completely out of order they wish they could go back and just experience it the way everyone else did. A lot of the people who didn't really want to get into "those comic book movies" now have more than one of them in their top ten.. 🍿❤
Let’s go ❤ Love from everyone on nowhere ❤
Hey Amanda glad you finally posted this. And it was very touching that the Yusaf Islam/Cat Stevens song affect you on such a personal level. Glad you enjoyed the film, a great reaction xoxo
Yeah, it took me completely by surprise! I didn't expect that song to come out of nowhere. I remember my dad sitting by the radio listening to it and asking my sister to translate it. Wow, it really took me back! Thank you once again for your donation, Marlon! :)
Can I get any tips on how to make what's left of my hair so shiny?
Edit* 18:58 I would be a pro-union Amanda themed shirt.
THE BIGGEST FLAW WITH EGO'S PLAN was that if he made everything "Him", he'd be alone again.
I mean, whoever said that gods were smart?
But he was never _not_ alone. The closest he ever got to considering another being an equal was Peter, and yet even in that relationship Peter was perceived to be the junior partner.
Asking if a Latina is crazy is like asking if water is wet.
Word
I enjoyed your video, your movie reactions are my favorite and I look forward to more of the classics.
The MCU Guardians of the Galaxy is far from the story in the comics. This is James Gunn's remake of each character and the overall story. Ego has nothing to do with Peter in the comics and he is not what he is in this movie. All the characters are honestly different so the comics just give you a different story all together.
I am very much looking forward to you watching the third one in the series.
She said in the first one that she won’t see the third one because it’s connected to other mcu movies and she’d be missing too much context for her to fully enjoy it u.u
Amanda, i'm not on instagram, can you add some info to your about section, like maybe an email so i can say hi
...so about those Marvel films that come before?
Why don't you watch any old Horror flicks anymore? 🤔🪓
I recently reacted to a movie called "The Cabin in the Woods" but if you have suggestions, please let me know. I'm currently taking recommendations for Halloween :D
@@amandamiquilena John Carpenter's films are always good: The Fog, Halloween, Prince of Darkness.
