- In the splatoon 2 special weapons version of Inside the Mind, we have already covered the far-reaching sting ray, the powerful splashdown, the smashing ultra stamp, the rolling baller, the flying inkjet, the paper shield ink armor, and the tenacious tenta missiles. Next up is the downpouring ink storm. Ink storm was a special since splatoon 2’s launch and the splatoon 2 ink storm was a great special for slowly but surely covering up a lot of turf. It would slowly desend on areas and rain your ink on them. In splatoon 2 ranked battles, it’s one of the best specials for starting a push, as it encourages opponents to leave the objective. In splatoon 2 turf war, it allows you to get a lot of turf from right under the enemy’s nose. Inside the Mind of Splatoon 2 Ink Storm users is supposed to be a comedic splatoon 2 parody which is explaining what is going through an ink storm user’s head as well as a mini-guide on how to use the ink storm in splatoon 2. The best thing about the inkstorm I think, is that it's the one special which can't physically be stopped by the enemies. There isn't any way for them to get rid of the cloud. Say if you throw out an inkstorm and they die right after, it's still helping the team

Due to me being a roller main that works best when I’m sneakily picking off the enemy team, my hatred for the ink storm burns hotter than a thousand suns and I actively try to avoid it

As both a roller main and a former bloblobber main I have to remind myself I was that annoying inkstorm player.

Quick tip: when in tower control, throw the ink storm bomb in the direction the tower is going
1: quickly defeats enemies on the tower
2: inks the tower
3: stays if you get splatted

On one of my first times playing as an Octoling, I used the Zinc Mini Splatling, and that's when I discovered I hated the Octoling losing animation for Splatlings.
Inkstorm is really good in my opinion because of the way it paints the ground. It removes the enemies’ ability to turn into a squid, does gradual enough damage to give you a small edge, and just takes away footing in general. It’s not meant for kills, just set-ups that make it easy to get kills.
The ink storm is definitely a good special to use if you might wanna manipulate your enemies to get off task and clear a path for you and your teammates.
The weapons with the ink storm I'd say are pretty good, just keep the bloblobber away from me pls. 😿

I was playing rainmaker, and then someone one-shotted the entire team but he wasn't a sniper. Then i realized that it was glitch.

I often find myself underestimating the Ink Storm's damage and power. It feels like the Ink Storm in battles is more powerful than the Drizzler's ink storm in Salmon Run, which is weird because they are literally the same thing. I have been splatted by the Ink Storm more times than I care to admit and have often enjoyed using it myself.
Ink storm is basically a slow and painful death you can escape.
I chuck it around corners and directly into the frontlines, then book it. In short: *its rainin' death, hallelujah*

It’s good to use it to manipulate and position the enemy how you want because their choices is to either run away die or get weak enough to be killed in a few hits so either way it works in your favour
