I love this movie; I went to see it twice. The strong but relatively silent mother , the father protecter, the bond between sisters,, the family values in spite of their strong , independent daughter. beautifully played by Daisy Riley. The movie was cast perfectly. You don't immediatly recognize it, but the world is rooting for her; however , the last 5 miles (of the 21 miles)she has to swim it alone & the fear she will get lost alone & in the darkness of the sea is palatable. The excitement of the competitions with the soaring music rounded out the Perfect Movie-going experience. Some surprise movie clips at the end. This movie is the reason you go to the movies; to have your soui stirred.
Daisy Riley is amazing in this movie . His performances shines across the film in my opinion , and I think she deserve the Oscar rigth now ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
