It has his own voicing for sure, but it's what came to my mind too imho. It's more expensive than the Kraken too (almost 600$ USD) and personally, the fact that the Kraken has the 4 cables method option to be able to switch from your amp to the Kraken and vice versa is mind blowing to me and worth the price of admission. I'll still say that this Dover preamp is a great option for someone who can't afford the DA50 head. Having an onboard boost is a nice touch also. You still need a good power amp and if you need a clean channel, it means you need another pedal...so adding all of these together with a preamp at 600$ kind of defeat the purpose of having it in my opinion haha I'd buy it used thought ;)
@@bengirard1984 ouais personnellement j’ai déjà un v4 kraken et je trouve ca absolument malade et tight. Je suis full attiré par dover amps en général mais je sais pas si la pédale vaut la peine à ce point là honnêtement. Crissement cher pour vrai.

En Canadien c’est genre 735$+shipping….oublie ça hahaha J’avais le preamp Kraken aussi un bout mais je me suis acheté le Bluguitar Iridium et bref…disons j’ai vendu le Kraken assez vite lol C’est absolument fou…je te conseille fortement de regarder les deux vidéos que John a fait si tu connais pas ça :) J’ai d’autres têtes d’ampli mais le Iridium est vraiment vraiment génial!
I can't put my fingers on it but there's just something in the low end that not quit right it kinda lack balls you know, maybe a different speaker combo would bring out more!! It's a cool amp tho and easy desighn that's what I like about it!!

This Preamp has it´s own, unique sound, which is great. If fits your type of Music and playing in a good way.

I his demos generally uses dadgad and drop c# for his 6 strings, discovered this by playing along with of his Demos and tuning till I got it right 😂
