Longtime SEV customer here, 15+ years. I own at least 10 of your women's vests, some styles in every color you offer. I have two of the Fireside fleece vests and use them on winter trips. I'm NOT a fan of visible branding on clothing, why should I be a walking ad for some company? For that reason, I don't wear any Patagonia or North Face clothing. I'm a Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Athleta, SEV owner, despite the EB and Columbia visible branding on some items...
OK, the first Patagonia vest. It looks like a women's vest, both in style , fabric, and colors. I do like the teal/aqua contrasting trim, but only for women. The second vest is OK, but a blah design, with the problem with the twisted zipper. Third vest, another blah. Agree with you on the khaki vest, Grandpa's winter gear for watching tv in his rocking chair. Last Patatagonia vest, yuk, and I'm down on sweater anything because the yarn "catches" easily and then looks absolutely terrible. It's pretty clear that quality control at the Patagonia factory (factories) is not up to par. Thanks for identifying the terminology for twisting zippers, torquing. A new word for the day...
You're right, SEV offers so much more, unlike what you whooped here the pockets are right-sized and highly functional. The design means the vest is structured, which I really like, especially in a winter-weight garment. My suggestion would be to offer the fleece vest in a streamlined design, like the women's 101 vest with 9 pockets. That number of pockets is perfect for me, The Fireside holds everything I need for a day out or for winter travel. I would like to see more colors for the fleece vest, especially purple or teal.
I would suggest that you make a couple of adjustments for your next comparison review. 1) A more simple background, the busy background in your office is distracting. 2) Use one of those ring lights or rig something that will provide better lighting for what you're showing. Thanks for the video, very interesting to see your thoughts.

I have traveled the world with a travel Scottevest for more than a decade. Last year I flew 27,500 miles. My travel vest shows NO signs of wear. I use a zipper pocket for my passport and tickets. A bottle of water fits in a side pocket. Right before boarding the plane, I slip my phone, pad, earphones and a charger (depending on the length of the trip, my longest flight last year was 15.5 hours) into my vest pockets and I am ready to go!

Very good, If you decide to put your logo on your vest I suggest you put them on the bottom close to the zipper. It's discreet and doesn't take away from the sleek styling of your vest. I have not bought your vest but they seem to be good quality. Have you thought of making Conceal carry vest? I think this would be a good addition to your line of vests..

I'm 7ft and got a tall size vest, thank you for remembering us odd size fellows.

Love this brand! Please do more comparisons, including brands that particularly make travel apparel with pockets. Consider getting a proper podcast quality camera and some lights to make clear detailed videos in 4K. That way, it won’t look like SeV is behind the times.
Looking forward to more videos on new products and sales! ✌️

A travel vest that is light weight hard wearing easy to wear form fitting with medium size pockets and not over engineered is what most travellers want , also something that looks good with most of the pocket empty , that’s what I’m looking for , what do you think ?

I have had mine for about 15 or more years and it shows no signs of wear. It has been to every continent but Africa and Australia. I flew 27,500 miles last year. See my comment for more details if you would line.

Please do NOT put a big "SCOTTEVEST" label on the outside of the vest! it will make our vests targets in the TSA trays!! if you HAVE to put your name on it somewhere then maybe discretely on the inside. i HATE HATE HATE feeling like i am a walking billboard for clothing companies. again, i just feel like it makes us more of a target. i love your vests not only for the function but because i feel safe in it. i don't feel like robbers are saying "hey! that gray haired lady is wearing a scottevest! let's rob her!"

Patagonia is way better. Nobody cares about the ridiculous pockets.
