I'm so glad someone as talented as this guy picked up Disco and starting making new stuff. I was introduced to Disco back in the mid 90s by my Dad, and was sad when I found out that "disco was dead" and had been for over a decade by that point. Listening to Discoholic gives me hope, hope that good things never really die; they're just waiting for the right time.
Is the MTR-023 the name of the drum machine used? If it is, I can't find this particular model anywhere on the internet. I'm doing a paper/presentation on drum machines and was hoping to reference this track!
MTR-023 is just this single's catalogue number for the record label it was released on (Montaime). the drums are mostly Linn LM-1 samples, with a Roland TR-808 cowbell @ 0:06 & TR-707 ride @ 2:19. hope that helps!
