So, this is what i heard on why mk1's launch was so pee pee poo poo. Allegedly, WB was kinda hoping suicide squad ktjl would be a hit and get them alot of money. However, since we all know what happened to ktjl, WB didnt make alot of money and rushed nrs to push mk1. Thats why mk1 was announced 4 months before release, the pre order character's freaking trailer was in the launch trailer and we were missing a bunch of stuff for mk1 on launch like freaking pinning moves. Really fuck wb honestly. They are the reason mk1 is in a bad state and dont even wanna bother fixing it. With ktjl i get why they killed it, i mean they are getting only like 5 players a day but mk1 while not at the best state, still can be called a GAME. WB is benefiting NOBODY. NOT EVEN THEMSELVES. they are killing their own reputation, losing money, losing customers and fucking over the playerbase. Its a giant middle finger to EVERYONE, INCLUDING THEMSELVES!!!!
Yea that sounds like the WB we know. It's fucked up that they continue to ruin game after game and really just due to greed. I hope their shit keeps flopping so they can be forced to sell their remaining stuff to someone else who may actually care
Honestly I hope in the next installment for MK13 they go back to their roots lore wise by bringing back Tobias or Vogel or just anyone that cares about Midway Lore and make a direct sequel of Mk Armageddon and drop all the time travel and multiverse stuff and focus on a more grounded story, as for gameplay they just just reuse MKX's gameplay but with no variations, all characters should have full kits just like MK9, and most importantly more single player content like MK11's Krypt and replace the overused chapter system with Konquest mode.
Absolutely spittin. That's exactly what should happen in the next game if WB likes money. Just put full, legit, effort, and care into mk and people will buy
