About Sanford And Son: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

1:21 Slow ya role "It's only petty larceny!" ROTFLMAO
I think that's Uncle Woody's best line in the whole series.

Woody thought he is a player

It's said that Fred picked all characters for his show which makes him the best cast director ever!
Well!...he and Norman.
He did if said no no show
Norman Lear took a chance on black actors back then and was successful
"Hit the deck" Even Aunt Esther dropped. 🤣🤣🤣
I would have dropped, too. 😂
LOL Fred thought BB was going to whack him Goodfellas style🤣
They evidently had the most fun taping this show, especially when they sang with B.B.King! 😅
yo, no cap! in that thumbnail, i thought bb king was esther rolle.
I saw this rerun shortly after BB passed.Brought tears to my eyes.I still have a postcard from BB when he was in Russia on tour.He is missed.
I can still remember the sound of my mother laughing out loud when Fred and Esther would go back and forth with their insults.
We watched this show constantly in my home when I was growing up.
Such great memories of a much better time.
Greatest sitcom of all-time.
And Cheers
Hands. Down.
What about "all in the family"...

This is my second favorite episode of S&S. My favorite was when another man claimed to be Lamont's father. Such good memories of watching this show with my family ❤
I liked the one where Fred threw the wedding cake hit aunt Ester in face...
Big money grip!!
@ginaspurlding8590 That was good one too!
Big Money Grip Matlock!!!
@@coteliz773 Big Money Grip played the father of JJ 's drug-addicted fiancee on a two-part episode of Good Times.
Red Foxx carried Sanford and Sons. Grady and Aunt Ester icing on the cake.
And LaMont.
@@bobblowhard8823And Julio.
This was a classic.. Love them two together.
"You want her back?" Woody didn't want no smoke🤣🤣🤣
Woody was a trip, I love how he delivered that line.

I almost died when Fred yelled hit the floor and the camera panned over and saw Esther on the floor to
This will always be one of TV's best show of all time
"You can make mine out to cash." 💸 lol
A thousand bucks was a lot of money back then.
I don't know if I ever saw this episode back in the day. Who would have ever thought that Aunt Esther was BB King's long lost love? 😂
Fred said stealing Esther was only petty larceny 😄
I wondered why the audience didn't lose it on that one.

🤣😂😂👍👍👍"Only Petty Larceny."
This episode made me cry laughing, Uncle Riley was perfect.
I shook hands with BB King at a little concert without any advertising for a Medgar Evers celebration in Edwards Mississippi about 20 years ago. On harp was Little Milton There were maybe 75 people there and 5 of us white folks. I rven have pictures!👍👍
20 years ago? Little Milton has been dead a lot longer than that 😂
Look at that spread on the table! Old school soul food!
There was enough food to feed an army.
Fred might not find Esther attractive, but BB King and Big Money Grip, must've found her irresistible 😘🥰
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Eye of the Beholder... Indeed!

Aunt Esther is one of my all time favorite tv characters.
BB king guest starring on Sanford and son to the actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten your legacy of laughter still continues on you guys rock appreciate you guys ! Joe
Your "thoughts?" What exactly does that do/help?
This was surreal and supper cool . I saw BB live about 40 yrs ago fantastic performer
“ How about Mule Train” 😂
I love the fact that the scene cuts there and the theme plays after lol. I'm sure it's coincidental, but it fits so well edited that way lol. I can see it actually ending like that for real lol.
2:01 OH HIT THE DECK!!!!!😂😂😂
The poor man's goin blind! LMFAO
Maybe I'm being sentimental, but Grady being in this bit somehow, would be gold.
I had a once in a lifetime experience with Mr. B.B. King
A true legend, gentleman
Fred Sanford versus Esther once again who’s gonna win this battle😂😂😂😂
A Great Sitcom. Nothing even comes close today.
I loved this show when it was on TV.

Please put that 2 mins jam session that is at the last part of this episode.
My husband met BB backstage at a blue festival and said Bb was very kin d and gracious.

That was probably my favorite episode of the show...
The 70's had the best tv.
BB was the best with his guitar l love his music.
I saw B.B. King on his 69th Birthday here in Utah.
When I was 17 my buddy wanted to go see him when he was 70 because "he was an old man, and who knows how long he'll be around." I saw him two more times, including his 80th. Best musical showman I've ever seen.

How did they keep from cracking up🤣🤣🤣
Classic.....😂
BB KING the legend🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just love that Ripple and Coke....Cripple 😂😂😂😂
My late older brother, who was a singer/songwriter/guitarist, once performed live with B.B. King (Newport, RI, 1970). The song-'Sweet Little Angel'.
That's a classic B.B King tune!!🎸🎶❤🎸🎶❤🎸
I AGREE. IT IS THE GREATEST SITCOM OF ALL TIMES!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
“Don’t act crazy, it’s only petty larceny.”
When I watch classics like this I regret never being able to afford to go and see these real true stars live but they’re just talent.
How many lovers did Aunt Easter have.
One she had and apparently she didn't even know who he was at the time. BIG Money grip Madlock (who thought he was Lamont father)
An all-star cast appeared in this scene.
I don’t care who you are , this is really good !
Redd Foxx was a classic, one of the best ever.
My favorite show off all time watch it at least a few times a week
Esther was out in those streets!
Nah she wasn't I beg to differ...my opinion
