Been looking to add a 2nd Prostaff and your video helped me ! Being a more senior player i was sold on the spin and the next day not feeling beat up in my arm feature so I am staying with the V 13. thanks!
You’re a great reviewer. Love the intro. Love the set up. Love the research. Love the short videos of you hitting with rackets and then back to your studio set up. But what I love the most is you are genuine. Stay like this and people will always respect you. And in this world, that matters a lot. Good luck.
Thanks so much mate. I think your review is awesome and based on real knowledge. You've actually revealed to me the exact differences between these two racquets, and now I can move on to making the decision whether to buy another V13 or a new V14. Cheers!
I play with a pure aero VS 98. I kind of struggle playing with it. very demanding racket i must say. However, i tried pro staff 97 twice and i felt every aspect of my game was better and felt more comfortable. I don't know why switching from 98 to 97 made things better. now i am thinking about switching to pro staff 97. any ideas why i was struggling with pure aero VS compared to pro staff 97?
Hi man, thanks a lot, after watching a tons of video about I can say you did the most complete and honest review so far. May I ask you a suggestion? I decided to update my ProStaff100 BlxL (285gr) and here in Budapest there is a store that let you try almost every racket. I tried Head, Yonex, Babolat and at the end the best was the PS 97v13 Team (280 if I am not wrong) but after searching around I found the SixOne 100 v13 that with her 305gr seemed to be the one for me. Price is very low so I bought one but I have to say is not that easy to swing. So I though ok lets give a try to the 97L before buying the Team and in the shop they had only the v14 and wow I was really impressed. As I don't like the color at all meanwhile I love the black on the v13 I ordered a v13L. Just out of curiosity I ask to try also the 97 315gr and again only v14 available to test. At the beginning comparing With the v13L I found a little bit to heavy so I played back with the L version and there I was surprised as the L now seems very little and instable so I played the remain 1 and 1/2hour of the match with the 315. I never played so good, solid, fast serve, excellent drop shots... wow I was shocked. Now came my question, as I found a second hand V14Noir edition (I really don't like the goldish color) at the same price of a new v13 I am very on doubt. From your review it seems that there is not that much difference right? Would you suggest me to go for the v13? I am really sorry for the ultralong and confusing comment but thanks again for your review. Take Care man
I am probably the minority, I couldn't tolerate the V14. The crisp feedback from the V13 is the most fun part and essential to me. They took this away from the V14. It's like the V13 communicate with me, the V14 does not.
Really nice reviews! What is you string tension you use in comparison to other rackets? I struggle a bit when switching from PS 97 CV to PS 97 V14 it feels like more string tension then the older versions. I guess it is the more thight string pattern in the center of the racket. With the 97 CV I was using 25/24 kg with Solinco HyperG 1,25.
@@servingaces THX for the feedback, is it RPM Blast, Power, Rough or other? I am in any case looking for an alternative to Solinco HyperG. Maybe for the next sets you could post also your setup with string an tenision as it is interesting with different racket sizes and shapes if you compare e.g. the size of a Head Gravity with a Wilson Pro Staff 97. For those whou experiement with there setup could be an interessting information.
i love this video. u make so much effort, u r friendly and u always try to tell the truth about exactly what you feel in the review. fantastic, and please keep your channel going. (if you are ever in manchester, i will give you a game!)
I bought Yonex ezone 100sl, but then I tried the ProStaff Team v13, and I loved the feel more than yonex. Not sure if this is normal or strange, as I am beginner/ low intermediate player, or perhaps I just need more time to use to ezone, as everyone seems saying beginner not play with smaller racket. I am still learning to generate power etc, but now I am confused.
It depends really on how the racket make you feel on the court. As a beginner the most important thing is to learn the basics. Not so much the racket. You want power from a racket as beginner but if you are have the feeling that this racket is better for you than go for it. You get used to it I am pretty sure of that.
I have PSRF and PS, both v13. I also have the Ezone 99. The RF was fun for a while but the weight does wear you down after a while especially on hot humid days. I them got the Yonex and loved it but at times it’s too powerful a racquet and I occasionally struggle with arm pain with that. I am still experimenting with strings and tension as I do love that racquet. I just picked up the PS (315g) and it seems to work for me as I have far more controlled power and shot placement. I switch between those two depending on my mood but they are both very different racquets. Incidentally I’m a one handed back hand player and the PS is a great tool for improving that skill.
I have both, and there really isn't much difference between them. Like hardly any difference. If i were to say a change, then v14 has slightly more plowthrough but thats literally because my v14 has much higher SW than v13.
Yes! The difference is not as big as the price gap is. The SW is definitely higher and I also felt that the Flex is more. How you like the Pro Staff in general?
That is the only real difference. Tennis Warehouse list the v13 as a 321 sw and the v14 at 332sw so it’s significant. I’ve hit with both and definitely prefer the v13. I like the feel and the lower sw.
Hey man, I cannot really answer you that. Did not play with the Blade 18x20. But for what I know the Blade is easier to play and easier to swing and better touch with the ProStaff. It depends really what you want more. Extremely controlled are both. Hope that help you? Which racket are currently using?
@@servingaces I actually play with an old V Core 100 16x19 and feels like i need more control. I've played with blade and was fantastic controling but less power then V core.
@@luccaszanetti7671 Yeah sure. More control means less power. It is a big jump to the Blade or the Pro Staff. Maybe try the blade 16x19 first 👍 more spin and a bit more power
Why don't you try the new VCore 95? Since you play with a Yonex VCore already, I think you'll really love the 95 version. It's completely different from the 98 and 100 versions and imo the 95 is the best😊
I play a Pro Staff 97 v11 and a Blade 98v8 16x19. The Blade is a little easier to play with. A little bit better at the net. Better plow through with the Pro Staff. Both give you lots of control, the Blade a little better touch but they’re close. pro Staff better on returns. The Pro Satff is my favourite racquet ever but as I I’m getting older it is a bit difficult to be consistent with it. There is no forgiveness in the PS and you really have to address the ball properly.
The problem is that i cant find the prostaff v13 LS 18*16 anywhere, and i do find the prostaff v14 ls 18*16... i will have to choose the v14... Where can I buy the V13 LS model? Any ideas? Great video man....
Watched your video too late, and I got the same feeling as yours 😆😆sore after playing in comparison to my previous Pro Staff 97L CV … I had to change because my old racket was too old, meanwhile v13 has been out of stock 🥲🥲
Do you guys like my intro ? 😂
i like the whole video

Great video since I feel ProStaff is the racquet we would all like to play with, but it’s not the best racquet for 90% of players 😂
Thanks :D
Yeah that is true. Very demanding. But there are lighter versions as well ;)

97 and 97l are not demanding at all:-) noone should play w the rf version tho haha
tks to the v14 paint job, price of a used v13 in my country is high close to a grand new v14 . 2.5 mil vnd for v13 95% vs a 3 mil vnd for new v14
I really think you would love the Blade 98 18x20, and the TF40 18x20, or even the Strike 98 18x20
I think so :) I like controlled rackets a lot ;) But they hard to get to test in a local store.
Awesome bro. I agree with your conclusion 👍
Thanks man 💪
I like the christmas tree in the adjacent court 😁
True though :) Nice having one spectator

I guess it is the more thight string pattern in the center of the racket. With the 97 CV I was using 25/24 kg with Solinco HyperG 1,25.
I used the same string Babolat RPM which is very rough but adds a bit more spin to the ProStaff.
Maybe try that out. Tension under 24kg is recommended
