The middle contestant Brian, I think he appeared on an episode of big break in 1992. He got to make or break and his snooker player David Taylor won the star prize for him.
some people are happy to win a few quid of a scratchcard, to anyone who thinks 5 grand aint worth winning esp in 1994 (ish) watch people compete for a grand on pointless(500 each) 25 years later
Well according to my trusty 1993 edition of CAR magazine, £5000 could’ve got you... a Seat Marbella 900 Special (£4295), a Lada Riva (£3620) or a Skoda Favorit (£4849). So £5000 could’ve got you a new car in ‘93 but it wouldn’t be a very good one
well he didn't look that good then...I agree, he's total cheese material...ex PE teacher/ stand-up 'comedian'.....I can only guess he was touring his routine around care homes the mentally challenged. Worryingly like Saville in that he doesn't know how to engage with others naturally.
Well he was married for over 50 years with 2 children so i guess he could act naturally with at least some people, bit unfair to compare him to saville. I dont think he ever thought himself as mighty, knew his limitations. As for false i give you vernon kay.
No it wasn't. According to ukgameshows and wikipedia the show ran until 1995 and Bowen himself has said in interviews that Bullseye ran for 15 years. I had always thought that was a 1995 episode until I saw it on Challenge my self a while back and saw the end credits.
He was a great man. RIP Jim.
I have watched all of the winners and the way man handles them and kills the moment 😂😂😂
Bully could had gone on to have his own spin-off cartoon.
Brill, niel looks so young BLESS HIM.
RIP Jim Bowen and Tony Green
Bring Bullseye back
Man I Watch This Show A Lot
Jim spent a total of 15 years shaking hands for this show.
Gotta love how excited they get over 5 grand.
Not to mention Tony shouting “TREBLE 20!!!!”
I would get excited if I won £50 today!
5 grand would be worth about 10 grand today
£5k is still better than on Pointless.
1:04 - 1:58 LOL Comedic brilliance by Jim Bowen.
Jim Bowen Is Hilarious
Jim Bowen May Be A Old Man But He Is Extremely Funny

'' Hello children, it's Uncle Jim here, we're going to play a game''. That's something Savile would have said.
satchfan2010 has
Jim u were the best. 😎😎😎😎😎😎
£5000 was a fortune back then now it will last you a few months tops
Bullseye is turning into Take Your Pick.
I remember that episode it was a classic!! And the super Nintendo games system Then the treasure chest £5,000 💷
£5,000 from 1990 is worth about £10,800 in today's money (BoE)
Hi children, today we are going to play treasure chest. That Uncle Jim is here! That something wouldn’t said.
Hello The Great Baby, Bully’s treasure chest, Hi!
Jim’s into sounds like it’s going to turn into a Janet & John story from Terry Wogan’s breakfast show on R2 🤣🤣🤣
At least here, they can actually divide the Star Prize evenly (£2,500 apiece).
Not even the Pointless jackpot gets that high in 2020!
@ 16:25 bulleye's mascot bully the bull's Moo
Rrreeeoooowwww
Looking forward to documentary next week. Was tony green wearing them Jumpers for a laugh
Great prizes
"1...*TREBLE 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"*
@chrisjoyce87 Yes. They were shown only a couple of weeks ago!
0:01 This intro sequence is hilarious.
it seems kinda ugly
@@gdchamp9987 No sense of humour nor creativity some people.
Paul Calf throwing for charity.
Stephen Foz
hahahaha
This episode was literally just on TV...
Anyone notice the error in the title sequence?
well done...thats the dinner service ( oh ffs )
25th June 1994
Hi David Songs Tomorrow Or Not?
Whys the intro cut out where we find out what the contestants do for a job?
so many of the questions are repeated, ie. the cricket question
£30 for the first ot of questions still? Must be at least 3100, if you add in 30+ years of inflation!
I wonder what happened to Geoff Williams?
Steady
No way was the charity thrower's 4th dart a treble. He got 40 quid he didn't earn there. 111, the lowest ever charity score?
Cool , does anyone know if Challenge Still have series 13&14 of Bullseye (1993-5)
Yes they do.
They were buzzing their tits off and quite rightly 5 grand would buy a small terrace house back then or 2 very nice motors.
@ 5:19 bully double check
But would this mean they'd have to come off the dole?
im pretty sure yer man didnt get a treble 20, that pro bai.
@ 13:55 bullseye will be back in a couple of throws
£5000 then would buy you a house with a pool and you would still have £4999 over.
I meant £100!
2 ballbag yobs
@ 16:49 what the co-op
thought jocky was a woman at first
What year was this?
Kid Pyramid Probably 1994 or 1995, when the show was on its last legs.
1993 actually
A bit over the top for £2500 each that's about a months wages
peewee1403 not back then it wasn't it.
£5000 back then is probably worth about £50,000 now.
Not quite, closer to £10,000. A good profit though

A car would have been worth more than that even back then.

Something about Jim Bowen... Can't stand the guy... He is SO FALSE.
Seen what he looks like these days.... How the mighty have fallen.
well he didn't look that good then...I agree, he's total cheese material...ex PE teacher/ stand-up 'comedian'.....I can only guess he was touring his routine around care homes the mentally challenged. Worryingly like Saville in that he doesn't know how to engage with others naturally.

he had a number of strokes ya dim wit
No it wasn't.
