Delis48 is now closed permanently because of Etika. Etika was right, you never know who you're talking to. One single act could lead to your destruction.
The Kranando I don't even know if that is true. People were editing it last night to make it say Delis 69, Delis 49: A Slaughterhouse and google just let them do it. Whether its still open or not rn, idk. BUT, I do know now that I need another place to eat at when I go to Nintendo NY.
Hello. Yes, Delis 48 is indeed open and has never been down. Have you seen our official letter? The google business listing was tampered with but we are still working diligently to uphold the high standards of cleanliness and gourmet dishes, along with improving our customer service. Thank you for clearing that misunderstanding up. Many thanks!
Hello. Actually the owner was unaware of the said incident and is still investigating the details of what actually happened. We are reviewing the security tapes. Have you seen though our letter of apology? Nevertheless, we apologize to anyone feels that our employees let them down and are still working diligently to serve midtown NYC. Thank you again! #delis48justice
I remember being a dumbass teen and going in there, yelling joycon boys, and leaving the day after i heard this. It was an amazing time to be a young fan during Etika's apex.
I heard of Etika after his passing from some elites in the Smash community. I wish I found him sooner because he was something special. I've been watching all of his videos posted by fans and I can relate to him like he's an old friend. He put so much positivity and hype energy into all of his streams despite battling depression. This guy is a hero in every sense of the word. Rest easy my new friend.
One small thing I liked about Etika is that when he told stories and would get more intense, his New York accent would get thicker and it makes the story way funnier than it should be
I finally came back to watch some etika clips after almost a year and it feels like he's still with us when I'm watching him. To me, he was one of the greatest youtubers, no- one of the best people that I have ever had the pleasure of watching. He always made everyone feel like family whenever he got on and was so entertaining to watch. I knew when I first saw him in 2014 that he was special. I was always checking his channel during my long days doing research at the university. It was always either lofi/hip-hop beats/music or Etika in the background. I remember laughing my ass off in the library several times that I annoyed several people off(sorry to those folks). I was planning to donate to him once I graduated with high honors from University in December 2019, but then everything that happened with him, happened. I lost my older sister to cancer about a month before Etika passed away too and I was scared as fuck when I watched everything unfold with him during his last two months. I remember trying to email him asking if he was okay during that time, but he never responded. I hope people look back at Etika in a good light and they take what happened with him seriously as an example that mental health is no joke either. I'm glad that people took it more seriously after he passed away, but the thing is- look what happened in order to get to that point. Thankfully, we have made some progress since then and still are. Always support those in those in need! You never know who could use help and sometimes people are too afraid to ask for it. Etika will always live on in our hearts and I'm glad to see that people are still watching and commenting on his old clips. That's how great of a person he was, that's how much of an awesome person he was. He was no bitch nigga, no snitch nigga, he was our boy, fresh off the motherfucking block, Etika! RIP Desmond Amofah. You will always be loved and missed man. #JoyConBoysForLife
5 years without Etika, can’t believe it’s been this long already. Watching videos like these makes it feel like he’s still with us. Desmond, you’re missed every day. JoyCon Boyz 4 Life 🖤
I don’t usually leave comments, but when me and my friends went to NYC on a spring trip, we came across deli 48 on the way to the nintendo new york store. we were all laughing and joking at it in the name of Etika and treated it as a small landmark and a place he brought up in his stream. we even ironically dmed him seeing if he’d ever reply to hang out with us since we were in the area. pretty crazy that a month after that he’d be gone. :(
Rest in peace Etika, As a kid, He was a prominent figure in my life. I felt like all his advice was directed towards me, And I know I am not the only one who’s heart sinks at the thought of him being gone. He was a soul this world needed, But was taken from the people on it. Funniest part: It seems when he left us, Everything went to shit. UA-cam will never be the same without Etika. Once again, Rest in peace to the most genuine, and respectable man I could’ve ever encountered online. He truly has had a huge impact on me and many others, And I will never stop missing him ❤️
I don’t know who will see this or how many will believe me, but my family knew the owners of the deli since I was six. They abused me and my brother for 5 years. It’s hard to describe what they did to us. They also stole money from us. I was messed up for years after that, got into a severe depression and tried to kms at 11. I was scared to even say their names, but I decided to google their deli out of curiosity. I was so happy to see it shut down and so many people are hating on them. They got that deli illegally, and although I don’t have physical evidence and can’t ever get back at them, I’m relieved at least part of their actions had consequences. Rip to Ekita
