If you add an Arowana to the big tank it’ll help the fish feel more comfortable swimming up to the top since they’re top swimmers. I’m guessing since it’s a lot taller then their previous tank they feel a bit nervous, but I’ve seen good results in improving large fish confidence when adding a top swimming fish. GOOD LUCK !!
In terms of movement of supplies, people, etc. I think it makes the most sense to build the indoor pond first, instead of the tank. If you do the tank first, you lose roughly 6 feet of space along that whole wall to work around for the pond build. Plus you would also have to be careful working around the fish tank because you don't want to hit the glass or acrylic with supplies. That's my input! Looking forward to both projects! :)
Pls pls do that 17ft Monster Fish tank @Blakes Exotic Animal Ranch! I've been following since the start and love to see your growth! Keep up the great work!
I think Big Bertha is still a little unsure about her surroundings and that makes her more reluctant to eat. She isn't used to seeing people from the sides either, only from the top, which also can be a little intimidating for her. I would say, keep the feeding time the same as you always had it and keep to what they are used to. Animals ARE sensitive to dawn/day/dusk/night, of course they do not know the time like we do, but there is a reason why you have animals active in nature at different times in a day. Same goes for fish. They can indeed sense different things in their surroundings like temperature, pressure and water consistency (like fresh/salt water) ect. All these factors can change an animals behavior. If Big Bertha still won't eat in a while, you could always ask Predatory Fins about it, because he has real experience with Arapaima's. Anyway I wish you the best of luck. Greetings from the Netherlands (just so you know, I really do know what I am talking about because I graduated in animal care)
I love the activity of the tiger barbs and the cichlids in the tank. It gives it a real underwater look. Very cool. Some nice shelving units and cabinets around the building would make organization simpler. One step at a time. Things are really coming together. Not a huge fan of the crocodilians. They're interesting but you can only see them so many times. The only cool thing is seeing them eat once in awhile. A beautiful indoor pond with gorgeous koi would be awesome. It would stay much cleaner inside because the other animals couldn't get inside it all the time. Whatever you do is cool
For the pond build you should do like a stingray/ small shark like the ones at seaquariums which you can touch the rays. Or you can build like a saltwater pond and add some mangrove roots with some snappers and maybe a snook later on once the snappers get bigger
You remember when Tyler told his fans to get him to 400k or 500k and he was going to take a subscriber on a diving trip? And when it can time he made everyone pay $25 for a chance to win a tattoo? I like his content but hate scammers
I have seen some awesome floating skimmers you could look into. I would put some extra aeration just in case. There are no plants to make oxygen and absorb the co2. I assume you have a generator back up, if not get some solar aeration, stick the solar outside. Also I say make a pond in the ground, look at Ohio rescue their pond that has all the fish you love and fresh water sting rays. Gorgeous. Just raise the side some. And your giant tank, maybe raise the sides so you can take off the net. Get a spiral staircase in the mean time to get to the tank, you can put in a regular one, and keep the spiral as a safety exit stairs.
For those days when you need a clean viewing panel but don't have time for a full dive I would highly recommend a Mighty Magnet! It works great on my 2" thick acrylic reef viewing panel. Saved me a ton of time 👍
Great tank and fish! Weirdly I find the smaller barbs and cichlids in there as interesting as the giants. There's something about loads of small fish in a massive tank! Just imagine a school of 1000 neons in there! Thanks for another good video Blake.
Yes, to all giant fish tanks/ponds! Make at least one Salt Water. Another idea, have temperate not tropical fish tanks/ponds. And plant them with lots and lots of plants. Thank you for your hard work, it's greatly appreciated.
None of these UA-camrs ever have any plants, or any elements of an enriching environment, in their tanks at all. It’s all about pumping out an empty tank, putting a video out as quickly as possible, and moving on to the next one.
A screen for the door way is a good idea, maybe with the magnets in the middle to open and close🎉 pond looks great!❤. I would love to see you raise up a Caiman Lizard 👍👍
Put food on a long stick so you can wave it right infront of her and if another fish tries to get it you can pull it away.. That way its just for her and she sees and smells it better thrn jusy floating around her and someone else grabs it before she can! Just an idea who knows if it will work but it worth a try 🤷🏼 Thanks for sharing love!! 😁😁
about the tank and pond, so your office is on the platform or will be on the platform above, so what you currently have then is both, because if your on the ground level its a tank but if your in the office its a pond? I think a turtle or tortoise enclosure would be cool.
In that space you should do an enclosure for your aligators but the water area should have the viewing panel like you did for the otters that way we would se them all the time
As a european i always wonder how much power you use, and what it costs compared to here, same when watching Paul cuffaro and others in the scene.... Is there a estimate of how many watt's / Hour, you pull on the big tank, with lights, filtration, heating and all ?
Hey! Im thinking out of the box probably here but why not some new animals? Like chameleons or iguanas, maybe water monitors or something on that wall... the non concreted part well why not a salt water feature? maybe a pond or something for larger saltwater fish.. just my ideas you do what you want :). Best wishes from Sweden!
I know you are a monster fish pro. When I moved my Silver Arowana from 180G to 700G pond it took him over two weeks to get his appetite back. I thought he was going to starve for sure. Then once he got comfortable & got his appetite back he started smashing his food like crazy. Like the others said I'd try & keep the feeding routine like you had for her before moving tanks. Once she gets hungry enough she'll start smashing. And I can see the logic in adding an Arrow or other top swimmer to let her know its safe to swim to the top 🙏 What ever your routine was keep at it, I whistle at my fish when it's dinner time 😅
Beautiful tank bro,I think if there was a little more water flow in the tank the fish would become more active you can see the red tail gasping for air.
When you look back at the video of you putting her in! It kind of looks like there is a small amount of blood that comes out of big bertha’s mouth from hitting the side of the wall. Maybe her mouth is hurt or sore. I’m not sure if it was blood but I’d would go back and look in slow mo. Love the videos!
I thing you should do the in ground thing first, obviously a caimen would bring in views bit I know lighting would be a problem and would be really hot temperature wise. But would be a nice contrast with an above ground tank right next to it! Look at kenans Carmen enclosure where he keeps big turtles with them!
Hi my friend about aquarium it's nice a big one but more practical is two smaller for different species and size 1000 each. And also you can make one enclosure but for caiman size. Alligator it's too messy and you can have a pond half inside the ground and half outside . Thanks
More surface agitation would likely do wonders with a huge wave maker. Your tank is awesome and give me something to look forward to on a weekly basis. 💪🏽🐠
I think you should start with the really, really cool pond first. like you said, an indoor alligator pond or a caiman pond would be better, I guess. Or a pond for starfish, like a saltwater pond thingy. Eagerly waiting for the outcome!!😁😁
Great work with all your projects. As for a suggestion for a tank set up, which I haven't seen set up before, but I wish to do one day, is a saltwater shark/catfish community aquarium. Banded, epaulette, nurse and carpet sharks for their small size. Ariopsis catfish, i believe is the species for saltwater catfish. Hardhead and gafftopsail are commonly caught in Florida. The other more aquarium breed is the Colombian catfish. I don't even know if it's legal to have those catfish in aquariums, but that's my humble, possibly unrealistic, suggestion.
What's the temp of the water...with a body of water that large it could be a lot cooler than what they were used to which would result in a slowing of their appetite to eat normally.
You may have to cover the windows for some days and once things are okay and fishes have their attention to the surface instead of outside windows... You can gradually increase the window opening time to full time
Somemore pbass would be really really cool! They are my favorite and loved your azul pbass from before. Maybe arowanas? Pbass tho for sure and someone said some rays would be cool and I agree
Keep your next project that hole in the ground maybe get aquascape to come out and make a beautiful waterfall/ pond feature for turtles and fish that you and the guests to go in and enjoy
Blake do in the afternoon I've been told that some fish are more gannets than others but never change time you've fed them before diff in wild food is consistently around.and plz do indoor pond with crocs or alligator's
Don't know if will explain correctly You need a retractable net where the retractable part stays at your deck then can hide it with little over hang Then have it automatically make the net go towards the waterfall
Blake, wait and build a true monster tank, 10000 gallon or so, then stock it with biotope animals, you could also make it a partial aviary above the water, depending on the size of fish and reptiles in the water part you could even have birds or small mammals in the aviary part, just don't get alligators and swans, that would be bad..
Would like to see the caiman Inside (idk of you still have them ) with some fish ( arowana? a zoo in the Netherlands does keep arowana and caiman together) and a large viewing panel on the front that way you could even see them under water and make it so that there is a beach so they can get in and out and maybe some artificial roots for decoration and to hide.some life plants in the back and you could maybe even hide the pumps in the back and then mesh all around and put a door in the mesh to get in and out of the enclosure so you could do some trimming of the plants and stuff like that
I’m just curious, has anyone told you about your body oils and any detergent left in your clothes will kill your fish if you swim with them. You must be careful. Could be just me, But did the Arapaima got bigger bumps/lumps on it's head than in the video you released him/her in? Could be something wrong with him/her. Like a sickness or something
If you add an Arowana to the big tank it’ll help the fish feel more comfortable swimming up to the top since they’re top swimmers. The Fish you were speaking about.
It died before it was supposed to go into the New Tank. AROWANA
JO JO
Arapaima also love to swim with arowanas on top

An indoor pond showcasing all the different aquatic turtle. And a vegetation area for them to go up onto and lay eggs.
You could always soak the food in garlic extract that sometimes stimulates fish to eat
Pls pls do that 17ft Monster Fish tank @Blakes Exotic Animal Ranch! I've been following since the start and love to see your growth! Keep up the great work!
Finally, a project with predatory fins would be crazy! Ik they moved to near NY but it would still be cool for a collab!

The barbs still living shows how BIG your tank is.
Outrageously stunning! 😁
And everyone thought they would immediately die lol. Shout out to the survivors 😂
Does big bertha have gas bubble disease on the head. Cos paimas usually have smooth heads. Just sharing from experience.
Yes Bro I also think you should add arowana which will encourage them all to swin little bit on surface
My top 3 youtubers #1- Blakes #2- Paul Cuffaro #3 Tyler Nolan.

Bertha is sick. Ofr had an arapima that had those bulbs on the head and lost him. It’s a bacterial issue if i remember correctly
What are all the bumps on Big Bretha's head I've never seen them on a arapaima before, tank looks rad af :)
Yeah i was wondering too what are those bumps...
The bumps are definitely bigger and there are more of them now. I just went back to the video she was put in the tank to compare. Hope she’s ok.

You should start on a salt water live reef tank!...
That would be sick!.....
Keep on keeping on my friend 💯
Amazing tank. When you do your first big water change I think the fish will all start eating better.
Put food on a long stick so you can wave it right infront of her and if another fish tries to get it you can pull it away.. all those fish are awesome!! missin that albino arowana though..
I reckon the floor tank with the viewing panel, imagine if u could have a glass panel upstairs ( floor) to look down on it too xx

Blake, I’d talk to Josh from OFR about the bumps of Big Bertha’s head. I believe they dealt with that on one of their arapaimas in the past.
Indoor alligator! That's what my guess was when you poured the slab for the new warehouse
I watch you and raww when I’m sick thanks for making videos it makes me feel better :)

5:00 id be dope to see you get your rays back they were dope 👌🏾🤙🏾
I would put black curtains on the glass for a few days. And keep the over head lights low/off for a little. It'll give them a little privacy.
More surface agitation would likely do wonders with a huge wave maker. Your tank is awesome and give me something to look forward to on a weekly basis. 💪🏽🐠

The fish look amazing !
The giant fishtank for sure plus it would be more convenient cause if you build the long tank your gonna have less room to work on the giant tank
i think adding a gator gar to that tank would be a nice touch!
Great work with all your projects. As for a suggestion for a tank set up, which I haven't seen set up before, but I wish to do one day, is a saltwater shark/catfish community aquarium. How’s the waters temperature? Paul Cuffaro had some problems with that.
It's crazy to be able to see the fish now
You should add white sand it would look nice. It has alot of surface area for bacteria and it adds cushion for the fish
What's the temp of the water...with a body of water that large it could be a lot cooler than what they were used to which would result in a slowing of their appetite to eat normally.
An albino alligator would be nice it would complement your platinum fish
How do you build own own huge aquariums like that and how much does it cost
I would test the water! And add a lot more aeration. Great tank. Definitely think a indoor gator turtle pond for the other side of the warehouse 👌🏻
Definitely needs more aeration, not nearly enough water flow in the tank lol.
And yes I agree with the people put sum big arowana in the tank with all the big fish they would look awesome no cap

Saltwater pond with veawing panel or try breeding fly river turtles would be cool for next build
BEAR Aquarium Fish Videos are EPIC for every HUMP DAY of the week 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Giant saltwater tank or a large indoor mixed species turtle pond with small Caimans
You may have to cover the windows for some days and once things are okay and fishes have their attention to the surface instead of outside windows... You can gradually increase the window opening time to full time

I would encircle the entire place with fish tank so when you walk in your instantly surrounded by fish. I think that would be amazing .
First comment!! Love your videos they give me peace😊
Keep your next project that hole in the ground maybe get aquascape to come out and make a beautiful waterfall/ pond feature for turtles and fish that you and the guests to go in and enjoy
Kind of like that one pond at the fish store that Brian barczyk went to and had to swim to get his fish
Blake do in the afternoon I've been told that some fish are more gannets than others but never change time you've fed them before diff in wild food is consistently around.and plz do indoor pond with crocs or alligator's
Put a glass fence around the pond with a door to feed the beasts💪🏼
Arent Pimas stressed when the scales look similar to hives on their faces? Genuinely asking
It’s a bacterial issue if i remember correctly, ofr lost one to those bumps a while ago
Don't know if will explain correctly
You need a retractable net where the retractable part stays at your deck then can hide it with little over hang
Then have it automatically make the net go towards the waterfall
Think that pond fish guys got could fit right on that spot. Would be nice in your fishery
You should make a water monitor enclosure in the fish building
Indoor japanese koi pond would be amazing!!!!
Any chance you can set up a 24 hour webcam for your big tank? Would be cool to watch throughout the day.

I think it'd be cool if you did both do a pond in a really big fish tank go big or go home and in your case you already home keep up the good work man
instead of a screen you could also get one of those retractable awnings over the roll up door
Cant the fly river turtle joi the big tank?
Give Garlic / allicin a try it’s helps in many ways but definitely could help big Bertha to eat

I’m just curious, has anyone told you about your body oils and any detergent left in your clothes will kill your fish if you swim with them. You must be careful. Use a light dive suit that you can hose off before you get in with the fish. It won’t matter how much you wash and rinse your clothes it will not remove the deadly toxins that will leech out into your water. Also I think you should put in a saltwater pond with some cool tropical fish.
