@Clay Johnson To play crucial missions that give you the story on Bayek after the end in Origins, you have to buy DLC. I also never claimed you need them to beat the game... you did. There is no reason in adding paid filler content like weapons and unlocking map locations to a game that you already paid for.

ironic given this game is shaping up to be an AssCreed ripoff, the historical laziness that just has me wondering if they can manage even the token amount ubisoft does. Hurr durr it looks pretty and lets fat middle aged neckbeards swing katanas so it will be regarded as a 10/10 regardless for a year or so.

@@shishaceo5204 Valhalla will only out sell ghost because its on multiple platforms. First week sales of God of War, horizon zero dawn, and uncharted 4 were all higher than ac odyssey. Ghost will outsell Valhalla on ps4 if its as good as any of those games.
Fix the animation of when your shooting somebodys head with an arrow, it looks really bad!

Follow the howl it’s not though. I don’t care about lip sync. Realistically, nobody would be speaking English, they’d all be speaking Japanese, so that’s the authentic experience even if it’s not how the game was designed

Im not hyped for this game and for me as for many other people, dismemberment is a huge factor for games like this. Not because I enjoy the gore, simply because I think it looks more realistic and cooler.
0 there is dismemberment. He chopped an arm off in these gameplay vids. 8:01 for example.
Beautiful graphics in a different way than I expected. I was expecting more of Red Dead Redemption 2 level graphical details. While the music and the combat are mindblowing, the movements are still more game-like rather than the deadly realism that Rockstar brings to its games.

Literally all i want now, is a mode where you can simply just oneshot enemies nonmatter what. That would TRULY make me feel like the most powerful Samurai in the Land.

The high level of depth in this game, it teaches you along to be aware of the environment , immersing deep into the bushido way of life, not just go head first and kill mindlessly, this is clearly one of my favourite games so far.
Honestly disappointed this is a PS exclusive. I feel like a lot of the best single player game's out there are PS exclusive

Games are amazing. I nearly cried in the first 5 seconds of the video because it's like a living lense into the past. Yes, it might be overexaggerated in some areas for our entertainment, but it's a privilege to be able to semi-relive entirely different eras in such vivid detail.
i have some boks that take me to another persons eyes, deep into the past. it feels amazing ;) P

The exploration really reminds me of Shadow of the Collosus
the music, the audio design, the graphics everything. It gave me goosebumps. I've waited so long. It just makes me feel something that i've never felt from a game. I'm such a fan of japan and it's whole history/mythology so this really touches my heart. I congratulate all of the work behind this. You did great.

The only thing disappointing in this is the Japanese audio is not in syn with the lips. I hope they would adjust the Japanese lyp sync. FFVIIR was able to do it, why can't sucker punch do it?

I am looking forward to play this beautiful game. I hope the rest of the content wont let me down. P.S. Props for the Japanese voice over because Samurai speaking english is nonsense.

Same issue as with Assassins Creed... Enemies just seem to stand there instead of attacking.
Play Assassin's Creed on Hard mode then enemies will attack.

There are four mode's-
Easy,
Normal,
Hard and
Nightmare
you can choose according to your preference
The reason why they just stand like this is because it's the way they fought in Japan. Two ennemies... Waiting for each other to attack first, in these duel, each opponent wanted to kill his adversery with only one move

BoneHeap It’s a clever way of giving you directions instead of a marker on a map or an arrow. Slight handholding without the breaking of immersion. I’m sure you’ll be able to turn it off in-game.

@Jeff Sanders I've played the original and the remake. Yes they are mostly empty other that the Colossi, but I personally feel that this adds to the feel of SOTC. Wander is travelling a forbidden land, the emptiness adds to the haunting feel of the game.

Are you sure this is not Ubisoft? The gameplay loop is the same, like exploring the map for colectibles, skill points, fast travel points, etc. with the reaction parry focused combat or backstab animations. The graphics are also downgraded, the artistic style is also the same semi realistic. It has the exact same UI like every Ubi game like the visibility notifications, the map, the skills, etc. Come on, it's exactly like Far Cry or AC :D At least make different UI or combat. :D I look forward to it despite everything, though. :D I love Samurai movies and I have no problem with the UBI style of games.

Man.. I got this game and just can't shake the red dead feeling. Even the way the horse galloping animates and mission structure etc is too familiar.. Unfortunate that nothing in this game is NEW per se, aside from it just being another NEW good game.
The only, and I mean the ONLY. gripe I have about this game so far is that the horses back legs look kinda weird while it's running.. not a big deal but anybody else see this?

Will there be some realistic gore in this game? For an example can you decapitate or cut the limbs off in this game maybe like Witcher 3. I mean Jin (this games main character) is using a katana and katanas are known to destroy opponents in atleast 1 blow.
