Man I'm so fucking stoked to hear the rest of this album. This song sounds like a good blend of Necroticism and Heartwork, with a small touch of Symphonies. Would love to hear more grind elements in the rest of the album, if we're lucky.

I was listenning to carcass a few days ago unaware of this release and asking myself if they were even considering bringing back the element to their songs. Really glad to see it happening. It is a great time for the band and the sound is great. Can't wait for this album.

It's not too modern, thankfully. Cause Surgical Steel was way too polished. This one's crisp, but it still sounds natural enough.

So glad they haven't just repeated the sound of Surgical. Could have easily copied a winning formula. Keep evolving! This is a banger, and easily my most anticipated album of 2021!

It’s more like they have devolved so to speak, it’s much more of a classic carcass sound which I am really really liking . I don’t think surgical was a “winning formula” at all , I personally didn’t care for the album tbh , they lost their identity , sound and focus in my opinion. This is a classic proper carcass sounding song \m/

@@JoseJr1977 It’s fine to have opinions but objectively Surgical didn’t sound or feel anything like ndti , (my favourite carcass era/album) this does .On surgical they sounded like a band trying to sound modern , this sounds like vintage carcass.

Dan was the perfect choice for a drummer for them. Rock solid, tasty work.
Totally agree. Ken had a style that was the heart of Carcass’s sound and Dan nails it. I couldn’t imagine Carcass with a different drum feel.

While not as heavy as the old days... This is sounding so much better than they have in years! I love that Bill's low vocals are incorporated and the grindcore elements mixed with the modern stuff adds punch 👊

I’m extremely chuffed about the nod to an older incarnation of their sound. I am of the opinion that Symphonies is their best album because the melodies were sinister sounding as opposed to the sweeter sounds from Heartwork onwards. Some of the harmonies are a little too pretty and melodic for my taste but this new song seems to have dialed back that appropriate for some old schools evil…definitely looking forward to this. Bill Steer is extremely underrated as a player and influence on extreme metal as a whole.
Chuffed! Barney Greenway of ND would be proud.

Love the thrashy melodeath style they have now. I like everything they released. My favorite era will always be Symphonies-Necroticism-Heartwork but this is very cool
I put this on in the car, my partner in the front seat said ' turn this shit off', her three kids in the back aged 4to 11, demanded I be put back on.
So I look at her with a triumphant smile and asked if she would be so kind as to turn that shit all the way up!

yes. this sounds like it couldve been released in '93. This drummer, Daniel Wilding, it seems has that Ken Owen vibe. Who I think brought just as much as Bill and Jeff to the Carcass sound.
I hope they add The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue as a bonus track like they did with Intensive Battery Brooding in Surgical Steel.
