There's always a few inmates that picks out the group members.
I think Tony may have been sloppier than most. He's had a fellow participant, a guard, and multiple inmates suspect him of being a rat.
Because it's a bit obvious, to an extent. When a camera crew suddenly shows up, yeah there's going to be speculation revolving anyone new who shows up. And if they're pulling you out and sending you back in no problem then it's definitely gonna raise suspicion.

I was in county jail on Long Island around 89 or 90, playing spades. A new white guy came on the tier. Sat down. Then another white guy.
We kept playing cards and out of nowhere the 2nd white guy walked up behind the first and stuck a #2 pencil through his neck. We were all like WTF.
The guy with the pencil in the neck went to the gate and the guards took him out. (He lived.) They had us all lock in our cells and they removed the 2nd white guy.
Nobody ever knew what the story was.
That's the kinda stuff you can see in jail and prison at random.

I've never been to jail or prison and I NEVER want to, but from what I've heard from people who have been to prison and from people who work at a prison is ; the theory that once you get in prison you should "start drama or fight with the biggest or toughest looking person" is totally wrong and people who go in acting like tough guys dont get far, and that is worst thing that you can do. From what I heard from experienced people is that the best thing you could do is mind your own business and do not disrespect anyone , just do your time and dont go looking for trouble , mind your own business... Once again ; I have never been in prison but this is the advice that I have heard from both former inmate and people who have worked inside of prisons. God bless all who read this and remember to cherish your freedom and to Never do anything to end up in prison or jail.
