Glad you found it. Amazing how far dropped stuff can travel. Jim found a trail that was thawed out so I went out Wed. to check it out. Got stuck in the mud and had to call him for a tow. I think that was his plan to get off work.(:>

Ya me too for sure. Think maybe a side by side spun it over there. Sure wasn't thinking that it would be there. Ya, pretty mucky out there! Getting off work for a tow is always a plus LOL! Thanks Man!

So Rob I am a pretty good hunter not meaning to too my own horn But I can still put a bullet in a dime at 100 Yards with out a scope. I carry both my 308 and my 357. I have been shot at many times both hunting and Repoing also I have been shot at just because I looked like a good target. Well one day in Maine I was out on a long ride. This was before they had GPS. I some how lost my 357. I at first said F it I will get a new one. But that night things started running in my head that what if some one found it and used it for bad reasons. That ate at me all night and I did not sleep. I went out the next day to look for it. This girl use to hit on my all the time shows up and asked what I was doing at 7 AM. I told her I lost something and I had to go find it. The girl asked if she could ride with me and well I thought two is better then one. I said ok sure. I was out on the trails for at least 9 hours. Nothing. I was running low on gas and told her I had to go home and gas up and start out the next day. On the way back to my house almost dark the girl yells stop. I thought she had to pee but instead she walked over and pulled the gun up and said is this what you are looking for? How she saw it I will never know I swear it was in the snow and I know I would have never seen it. I thanked her for spotting is. She in return asked can we go riding more often and well let's all be honest she did find my gun so I said oh hell yes.

Great Story, thanks Man! Usually it's by pure luck that things are found.

So great that you guys found it, and who would guess it was on the opposite side. Well now you are again ready for the summer season

Ya, never thought it would be that far over and I even searched outward but was maybe a foot short on the first search. Wasn't even gonna search there but I was getting frustrated not finding it. Glad I did. Thanks Man!

So my theory was correct in that the moose took it but the wolf saw him ,chased him down and ate him and then as act of kindness took your GPS back to that spot for you !! I think I will start writing a book and call it THE SAD LIFE OF A GPS. I will send you a copy when I finish it !!! 🤣🤣🤣😇

Glad you found it. I understand how you feel, lost mine off the snowmobile one time...luckily found it too. Sick feeling when you notice it gone and think there goes $700. Mine was a 600 Montana, forgot to scew the lock in place. Have never forgot again.

You should get a sponsorship from whatever company that is proving how rugged and reliable that GPS is at your own expense 🤣🤣 glad you found it 👍🏻

That would be nice for sure but I don't think Garmin would go for that LOL! I'm super glad we found it also. Thanks Robert!

Glad to see you got the gps back. The replacement cost would have hurt, but for me I always download my tracks to Basecamp, the loss of tracks would hurt more than the financial

Ya, most of my tracks and waypoints are on Basecamp but I still have valuable secret waypoints and stuff on the GPS. Yes, glad I didn't have to buy a new GPS and Backroads card. Thanks!

Great video Rob. So glad you found your GPS. That is pretty weird that it was on the opposite side of the trail. I don’t know if I missed it but did the batteries still have juice in them? Keep posting. 🍻

Thanks Brian! Ya me too LOL! Didn't need that bill. Not sure why it was on the opposite side of the trail, only thing I can think of is that one of the side by sides spun it over there. The batteries were dead but being 2 AA's I just changed them out and it worked fine thankfully!

I believe the road after Gold creek is Young Lake Road, I knew you would find your gps you seemed pretty determined, that trail would be worse in the summer all the leaves on the trees but nice video Rob

To Quote an old Vermonter, "It is better to have done it backwards, then to have never done it at all". Good job on locating a lost gps.
