This is a first for me - a weather forecaster who goes back over his predictions and tells us where he was wrong. Thank you, Max, that was an excellent thing to do. You have a real sense of what the weather means to real people emotionally, as well as physically, especially this time of year.
Right, my ex husband was a weather forecaster for the Air Force and then he worked for the National Weather Service. A forecaster who predicts against persistance risks putting out an erroneous forecast which could be critical for the pilots. Forecasting is equally mathematical calculation and intuition.
I live with an elderly gentleman and he has at least two televisions going at once. Sometimes three and he often gives his daughter and I info he has gathered from the mainstream media. I don’t say anything but kind of chuckle to myself because I don’t trust mainstream media one bit anymore. 😂
Agreed! I’ve come across a few smaller channels and subscribed to them too because I do my best to support smaller content creators too. Everyone has to start somewhere. :)
You are still more accurate than my local weather team. Weather can do some weird things and act unpredictably, so being wrong about exactly where heavy snow is going to land really is not that bad. It still fell. What I appreciate is you give detailed information for the overall situation in the country, and honestly you and Ryan provide warnings long before the local weather people. Thank you.

I think she meant he covers the whole US accurately… he lets everyone know what’s going on in all areas and even answers questions in chat too which is even more of an addition to his skills.. hope that helps
Don't be disappointed because you're on the very edge of some bad weather after preparing for the worst. One day I was standing in my yard all dry watching a veritable deluge come down in my neighbor's yard about 30 feet away. I thank God it was just rain and not a snowstorm (and that I got to experience the edge so close - it was weird !).

Hello from South Carolina! Unfortunately it didn’t snow fast enough where I live to last overnight, but we are left with the extremely iced over roads and sidewalks. Everything is slippery as the snow melts, so I think I’ll stay inside and stay warm. Definitely appreciate the winter storm warnings always because the ice is usually the worst part in my experience!

From Knoxville, TN where we have about 5”, enough to shut things down for a day, but nothing like last January when most people were stuck at home for 3-5 days because of extra ice layers on the roads. I have to give a shout out to Max for your thorough, fast-paced, and professional presentation with every video you post. I basically now skip my local forecasters (all of whom are great at their job) because of that perfect meteorologist voice and delivery. You were made for this lol - keep it up as I will keep recommending your channel!

Settled into our Minnesota apartment with heated underground parking for the cold and snow with no hope of return to Louisiana until mid-February. Thankful to not have to shovel or scrape. ❤ Thanks for the forecast, Max!
@ChrisFerguson-zm4gt weather changes fast. Stl want supposed to get much snow yesterday according to the forecasts a few days prior.. every hour the winds kept pushing the storm north towards stl and we got 2-3 inches
Try using castor oil. Rubbing it on and putting on cotton gloves works best but you can put it on at night and wrap each hand in a piece of old white tee shirt.

I woke up here in Fort Worth Texas this morning to see a beautiful blue sky and the snow absolutely glistening in the sunshine! What a beautiful sight to wake up to and to see the snow capped rooftops in my neighborhood. What a treat

This kid is a better weather guy than the local news weather reporters in my area (Austin Tx) who cater to the tourists & Californians who H8 cold crisp weather as well as rain! Their favorite type of weather is hot, humid, stagnant weather where all the bugs come out and no rain! We're in a five year plus drought and need rain, but no, these people want it dry, yet humid! You can't make this up!
Hey Max here in the upper Ohio valley we have around five - six inches on the ground and we are happy for this at this time of year. Really hatein to hear about that cold spell coming. Great info, I'm happy I discovered this channel. Can you please add west coast dry air and wind conditions. What is happening right now usually occurs in October NOT January. These conditions are rare and it would be nice to hear what's driving it.

What about the smoke from California getting moved across the US? In Ohio n I deal with lung issues from covid. Cold Ohio weather isn't helping but just interested in how that smoke gets distributed with all the crazy weather. Keep up the great work. You have lifelong career ahead of you. It's 8:30 am here in Detroit and we finally got about an inch of snow on the ground. All my family in Kentucky been covered up for over a week now. This channel and Ryan Hall at equally good at what you do. I appreciate you both. I mentioned this in another comment recently, major reason I watched the other channel is because the feller lives in Kentucky so I figured his take on it would be more detailed because he lives there. I got family all over the state of Kentucky so that's why I watched him more last week. This channel is awesome for an overall view of our entire country. That's an impressive achievement that even local news can't touch. My comment might sound weird as if I'm rambling and complaining because I am. Woke up on wrong side of the bed. Another year with no snow for central nj. I don't understand how every storm misses us. Early in the forecast they predict it will hit us then as it approaches there's always a shift, it never fails. First it misses to the west, then it's to the north and next time it's to the south. As a snow lover it is so annoying, I'm convinced I wiont see significant snow for the rest of my life. It's crazy to think.that Texas has gotten more snow then nj.

Too bad he couldn’t even get PAST weather right. Dallas got no snow? We got 3-5” all over the metroplex.
Not controlled by big corps yet, once that happens you will see the drop in quaility.

A terrible medical complication brings us to the Mayo Clinic for help and surgeries. Wealthy? Yes. Bitter? No.
Our local weather in Hampton Roads called for three to five inches. We got maybe an inch and a half.
3:43 i was supposed to get 8 inches then lowered to 6. Got 2 inches...everything didnt even get covered and its already half gone

Northeast Ohio has gotten so much snow- 12-14 inches
@PolanballCoasters North Texas here. 12 inches of snow. I still would rather have this snow storm than the last 3 Ice Storms we have had the last 3 years. That sucked. Lol
Another year with no snow for central nj. I don't understand how every storm misses us. Early in the forecast they predict it will hit us then as it approaches there's always a shift, it never fails. First it misses to the west, then it's to the north and next time it's to the south. As a snow lover it is so annoying, I'm convinced I wiont see significant snow for the rest of my life. It's crazy to think.that Texas has gotten more snow then nj.
