If that is true, good for Imam Khomenie. As per my understanding, the main requirements for a valid nikah between a man and a woman is that they should be 1. AAQIL(Sane) & BALIGH(Adult). 2. Not blood relative. 3. Ungracefully willing to get married. 4. If the bride is BAKARA(Virgin), her guardian has to approve. There are more requirements but my little brain could only hold these. In Islam adulthood is reached with puberty. So if a girl reaches it at 10, she is an adult.
Well that is what you think. Prophet Muhammad did not claim anything in Quran as it is the word of Almighty God, word for word. The messenger of God did not add or remove anything from it, simply delivered it as it came down by angel Gabriel.

No, this goes way back to the time of Abu Sufiyan, an open enemy of the Prophet. After him his son Muawiyah continued on his father's path. Read through the peace treaty between Muawiyah and Imam Hasan (A.S.). Three main points Muawiyah was asked to agree upon were as below. 1. Abandon cursing of Imam Ali (A.S.) during Friday prayers. 2. Muawiyah should not use tax money for his own private needs. 3. Followers of Imam Hasan (A.S.) should be given security and their rights.
