Expert Mode Farming Tip for Materials for Totem of Return.
In order to make one Rare Totem you need- 50 Storm Cores, 5 Wool Threads, 8 Sand Claws, 3 Sand Shells
The Wool is zero threat to get and most folks have lots of it.
The Sand claws are a little harder to get if you do not have any upgrades yet but are doable from either ranged attacks or looting all the chests you find around the Dry Valley.
The Sand Shells and Storm cores are (IMO) the hardest part to get as the enemies hit much harder ( if you don't have a shield ) and sometimes its hard to even find the rolley-polleys to get the shells from...
However, I accidentally stumbled onto a farm that, even in Expert Mode, is low risk ( I'd put it at about a 2/10 ) AND yields TONS of these 2 Materials!
Empty out your inventory except for a sword, crossbow & arrows if you want, a SHIELD and some food. Be sure to bring some spicy peppers along so you do not get cold.
Next head on over to Star Wars island via the cave.
Once you arrive look around and you should be able to see water from where you are ( or close by )
Walk to the edge of the water and then start walking the perimeter of the island right along the water
Keep going until you make it all the way back to where you started ( near the cave )
That's it.
That is the farm.
You are going to find TONS of rolley-polleys on the beach that you can dodge and have them die in the water - super low risk.
You are also going to find dozens of the little crabs that you can one shot with your sword. This will give you lots of meat BUT it will also give you tons of Storm cores since they spawn in groups of 3-5 it is a very high chance for them to be storm sick.
In one lap of the island I saw 2 bears and 1 brute that I avoided and I fought about 6 or 7 storm troopers and maybe 4 or 5 wolves. I also just kept running at night avoiding the skeletons except if they were storm sick. This is pretty low risk if you ask me!
I was able to get 38 Shells and 87 Storm cores in that one trip & by the time I was done they had all respawned. It took me about 30 minutes to do a lap but I was not rushing so I suspect it could be done much faster.

Just walking around the Desert i find tons of blast core , early on in LEGO Fortnite They were only in caves for me.
What's been helping me do expert mode is my simple design for a flying car,I land where I want without dealing with enemies until I'm ready,got it early on first and it's been an absolute investment.

Fun fact if you find a storm-wild blaster you have to kill them yourself you can't lett them explode or you won't get the storm core
You just have to hit them once and then they can explode
you should try using the golf emote on the last project you worked on idk if it will work but you should consider it
You should make a Colosseum build in your world, it will be fun, because then you can have «example» wolfes vs rollers😅

I didn’t realize until i got them trying to get the thermal fish, when you get the molten thermal fish, put them in the food processor and it gives you blast core. I got 7 fishing two epic fishing holes at night
1. 3 charms of resilience and you basically can’t take damage from the frost brute 2. If you don’t know what charms to use go in sandbox and test some charms out hope this helps😊
Ive only seen villagers produce their full amount (30 glass/ 20 glass and 10 copper bar) etc like once MAYBE twice in a real life calender day. They dont produce fast the best way to stockpile things is having like multiple villagers on food for a while and making sure to collect their materials at least once a day. I dont think the amount of ovens matters

The pickaxe does more damage to the rollers !
It takes me 3 shots with that bow maxed out with triple damage to kill a sand wolf. That’s crazy that you’re taking out bone wolfs in two shots. It must be the charms you’re using. I was using a second tier totem of return for 1 heart and 2 blue cool charms, plus ate a pizza. I couldn’t make it through a lava cave. So frustrating. The charm’s armor doesn’t work in expert mode.
I want a tutorial on how to build these things like the pirate ship.
It is best to get blast cores from the surface. It doesn't take long especially when using the gllider pickaxe method.
Kaz, you can use another crossbow or sword with luck on it for a chance at a second brute scale or whatever you got.

Yeah, and then the brute train hits your face, telling you that you have no armor!
meaning the world is far more lethal regardless which charms you have.
How I find blast core is by looking for sand shells because there is a shortage of them in my world

The epix return charm is kinda pointless bcuz its expensive to make and gives you two hearts. Better with the lesser ones
As much as I'm enjoying this game, I find it difficult to see the appeal of the expert mode considering that the totem just defeats the purpose of it.
You could drop it if it puts you off. Opens an extra charm slot for you and will challenge you. I will say it's so damn easy to die, especially early game
Well speaking of blast core in both of my worlds (same seed) I have this special cave that is only one room with 2 exits it spawns 5 of them rollers a few scorpions and spiders but they keep respawning and with dual lightsabers I left with almost a full grand chest worth

It's good to search cave and kill those blast core in the desert and then go to the caves to find even more or you can just fish in desert river but it's long

just got to ask does he know he can use a sword and lightsaber since lightsabers don't break they recharge for 10 minuets so a back up sword would be good

I would suggest you to use an epic inner fire charm, epic charm of regeneration and a rare totem of the immortal instead of the epic totem of return because you get 4 extra hearts instead of 2 for the totem slot giving you I believe 18 total hearts.
Does the immortal totem revive you where you died?
If so in expert that would be really bad.
Because whatever killed you, is still there, and you have 4 hearts less to survive.
Better have a second totem of return at your home, ALWAYS!
@@tristanellis-mascoll1171 usually yeah, but say I was exploring faraway trying to get resources, having two immortal totems means that I will have two chance of keeping my adventure going. Also in my experience when your totem is activated you have a brief 3-4 second period where the enemies don't attack you. I wouldn't suggest it for beginners but since I am confident I do so. Doesn't hurt to carry an extra totem of return with me either.

And with 4 hearts its one of the better ones, since expert mode has no armor value.

Thanks for this tip, its a game saver, literally.
Now I run around with the immortal equiped and the return in the backpack. And already needed that double combo, (once the game starts to hate you)
I mean, stormwild grassland brute, 2 stormwild wolves, night starts and 5 skeleton spawn in the fighting area and the thunderstorm sets in... (and thats the fight I survived with only the immortal charm used)

talk to triggerfish get initial free totem of return, equip it in a charm slot. grind 50 storm spiders before you lose that first one, avoid anything harder, stay in village at night because storm skeletons even grasslands ones will murder you. use shield on rollers the stormsick ones give a few more stormcores than spiders (but not worth the extra risk, imo). get hearts amped up asap even if you have to waste resources on the grey health charms. get barns and cows and feed them peppers for spicy burgers which add +4 hearts, keep topped off like that. use dodge but realize it needs near perfect timing.
