The court also heard that on committing these offences on February 12, Hilton was in breach of two community orders which had been imposed on him, one just three days earlier and one in November 2021 which was a two-year order.
Recorder Timothy Hannam KC said: “You have an awful record for someone of your age.
“You’ve had a great many chances to change your ways but these offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence is appropriate.
“This was a prolonged period of bad driving being chased by police. The speeds were terrifyingly high in built up areas. You were lucky the streets were relatively empty."

Jay Slater, 18, of Fountains Way, ACCRINGTON - 18 month community order with 25 days rehabilitation activities and 150 hours unpaid work. Convicted of violent disorder in August 2023, when he was aged 18. He is now 19. His codefendants were found guilty of witness intimidation, attempted robbery and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Throughout a trial at Preston Crown Court, all eight laughed and joked in a way the judge said showed disrespect. The judge said if the group had been convicted of the more serious charge of section 18 wounding, they would all have gone to youth custody.
Tom Hilton, who was 17 at the time of the attack, suffered a head injury so serious his skull was exposed, and wounds to his shoulders and legs in the attack close to the Old Paper Mill in Hermitage Street, Rishton, in August 2021.

This is perhaps one of the most unusual missing persons cases. If the individual is truly missing, it's a terrible situation. From his departure with two strangers, to the peculiar interviews with his family, the story grows stranger with the friend who refuses to be seen she wont show her face on interviews, the absence of a body, supposed sightings, and the oddly specific £30,000 target for the GoFundMe campaign, his own criminal past 🤨🤨🤔
Imagine how distressing it would be having to watch every group c game from start to finish.

I'm aware that the lad recently had a brush with the law for gang violence, but everyone deserves a second chance. He hasn't murdered anyone and is still a teenager. At least the lad is learning a trade (bricklaying). Anyway, he's either been a.) heavily under the influence of alcohol & drugs and thought he was invincible (as most young guys do at that age) and tried to walk back to his accommodation and has had a fatal accident in that rough, treacherous terrain. Where he was last seen is quite a large area with a lot of potential for serious injury or worse (he may have fallen from a great height or could even have drowned in a large body of water); b.) He's got mixed up with the wrong people (drug dealers) and had an argument with them and they've murdered him and disposed of his body where it will never ever be found; c.) it's a scam and he's deliberately went missing so as to raise money via GFM to pay off drug debts. I do hope the young lad is found safe and well and is reunited with friends & family.
