This is truly one of the most beautiful and amazing yak fishing spots I’ve ever had the pleasure to fish! You showcase it beautifully brother! Thank you for the fine work, please keep it up and help get the word out about our beautiful natural wonders. Tight lines J
Jay you did the right thing keep your words to yourself and if he see the video he will know. These are some awesome videos you are making and I love the drone footage. Keep up the good work from your biggest fan buddy and stay save
We were there last Friday. Grass was horrible - it’s corn-fusing. I’ve never seen it that bad and I have been there every over week minimum for 6 years. There used to be great sand pockets in there that would hold some tanker trout - we had trouble finding any sand holes Friday.
Great theme music to go with the drone footage. Especially seeing that huge school of drum. You definitely picked the right place to fish that day. That boater didn’t have any respect for anyone around him. That’s sad to see. Keep grinding my friend.
Ive had good success most days. Gotta slow things down, work the conditions. Boater wasnt cool, sadly looked to be a guide boat so hes not new to the scene, I work around it though. 👍
BEAUTIFUL Drone Videos! When were you at Lighthouse (recently?) I have never had much luck in there, but it may be because the grass is hard for me. I love your channel and your videos. Jim
Good stuff bud, those reds were loaded up on that flat. I wonder if that boat that circled you a few times was a guide scouting for a trip and wanted to get the fish shut down so you couldn’t catch them all. Or maybe a tournament guy. That was an odd behavior for sure.
@@Jacemang_Outdoors just moved to Aransas Pass 5 days ago to kayak fish for the rest of my life. I pray God lets me experience what u did , just 1 time before I go.
@@RoscoePColetrain-xn8yb Went last year and it was even better: ua-cam.com/video/jWnNDPU0EJw/v-deo.html Thats a great fishery. You'll have some awesome fishing days ahead.
I fish it pretty often and encounter those guys running around not even fishing alot of them are duck hunters they don't like kayaks in their hunting grounds I yhink they do it in hopes yakers won't frequent the areas
Why not wave over the boater and teach him some etiquette? Simple non combative discussion? I know I would want someone to teach me without yelling at me or embarrassing me.
Lol. Education wasnt the issue, was a guide boat. And those conversations are never seen as "non-combative" as you put it. Your better off carrying on and not stressing about it. Its part of being on the water these days.
Yes sir if it was a guide boat that was doing it no conversation is gona change it. He already knows better but with the slick calm conditions in the video he was running around trying to bump up the school. He didn't care that there was already someone fishing there. We need alot more respect out there on the water. Awesome video man and you handled that better than I would have. Although I am slowly learning it's not worth getting mad over. It seems to get worse every year
I kayak fish and fish from a boat and to be honest most of the boat fisherman hate kayakers. Some boaters will intentionally jack up your fishing, those are the facts. I spent 9 months in the coastal bend area fishing and I saw and experienced it.
@@LivingMyLifeWithGrief I dont doubt that is the case for some. Ive seen confrontations go down on the water. We all just trying to enjoy the outdoors, have to be cordial.

I had already been following Chris for several years, so that was a good additional reason to go ahead and subscribe - I have not been disappointed! Thank you for the shared adventures, tips, thoughts on the same waters I love to fish (whenever I can get down to the coast - from Austin).

Really appreciate that. Glad you enjoy the content.
I’m always at Lighthouses. Last time I was there, water was super low. Thank the lord for the weather bringing in the rains.
Yea its definitely high now
The intro hooked me; cinematic. You earned a new subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!

Thanks buddy means alot! 👍👍
That spot is so good. I love going up there.
Definitely a fun fishery!
Awesome drone footage..
Glad you enjoyed it👍
Grew up fishing that area a lot. Looks like I need to revisit! Awesome video man
Thanks

Yea I think sun piercing that clear water has caused grass to get thick. Theyre still in there on that grass though.
Same. That grass is insane. Maybe the mangrove kill had something to do with it?
Great job done my friend nice Reds buddy. 👍
Really appreciate it!
That gentleman in the sit-inside is out there more than the fish. He is there ALL the time.
Yea he told me he lives close by and fishes it often for his dinner. Seems like a nice fella.
Cool intro Jake & nice reds.
Thanks buddy!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed. Earlier in the week, its a challenging fishery for sure.

Thanks buddy. I hear ya on the wind, Its been nutty.
Great video love ❤️
Thank you!!
Badass video intro and all around video🔥
I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Haha. Thank you! ❤️

Thanks buddy! Looked like a guide boat. Probably shoulda called em in, all worked out though.
He was doing him a favor. He was scaring the fish toward you as you see it got better for him.
Great content!!!! Were you throwing the same lure repeatedly or switching it up?
Thanks! Switchin it up, I dont think lure matters too much for reds if you put it in front of em.
I have a pedal kayak myself and would love to go fishing with you if you are ever down. In corpus area as well
Good stuff 👍 What kayak you rockin?
Whats your setup love that bend on that rod
I run several. Medium action Diawaa rod, 2500 series spinning reel with 15 lb braid.
What were you throwing??
Texas Made Lures paddletail
I need to go fish there
Definitely. Its a pretty fishery. Love it out there.
You’re like the fish whisperer
🤣 Thanks
😂 that he is!
Do you eat any of them reds I didn't see you keep any
Not that day, Ill take a few home when Im in the mood for fresh fish or friends want some. Mostly catch and release, I dont need to keep em all.
Here from league of legends. I love you

How in the hell r u able to use your pedal drive out there I can never find an area to keep it plugged in .
Its a Hobie, fins fold flat underneath. Drive stays in all day, half pedal/paddle in shallows, some areas can full pedal but not many.
Where do you launch from?
Anywhere along the pass

Looks like a great place but looking at the comments sounds like a busy place lol
Its a beautiful fishery. Usually isnt busy.
What are those shoes? they look nice.
Not sure, Ive had em for years. Logos and paint have worn off.
No way that was all in 1 day?
That was about a 4.5 hour trip. Was off the water by 1130.

Could be but its 8 months until duck season in this video. Who knows. They can have the area.
