I was just mesmerised to the fact that they were just simply trucks and trailers that were placed on top of shipping containers willy-nilly. It just goes to show how strong one of these shipping containers actually are.

the ferry loads up at Pier 15 in SeaTac and heads to Whittier where the cars are unloaded for the trip to Fairbanks.

Quick question. Can carfloats carry locomotives, or are they too heavy/large?

The barge should sit deeper as the cars are loaded. How do they compensate?

go to 5:00 see the long lead in ramp that fluctuates up and down with the barge.

also had you seen the water dischargers they use water to ballast and balance the barge which is how all barges pretty much work is ballasting with water to control depth and balance of load

2:23 What genius decided to balance a mining dump truck on top of shipping containers?

Those guys know what they are doing. Bear in mind that everything is lashed down. Also - you can't stack things on top of vehicles (if nothing else, the tops aren't flat!)
