Lucie Jones is one of the best stars of stage the UK has. She has a voice like silk. I went to see her last show in wicked, and waitress too. She has so much more control over her voice than i could ever dream.
Remember this isn’t “by” Whitney Houston because it was written by Dolly Parton. But thus rendition is outstanding! Obviously Whitney set the standard by far! 😊
I still don't think Lucie gets the respect among X-Factor success stories or lists. If you look at her career, look at the top shows from London to Broadway and more. She definitely has to be in the top 3 I believe absolutely top 5. You look back and there are only a couple of people who I can even begin to compare with Lucies fabulous gift. Leona, Janes Arthur and Sam Bailey all have pretty good successful time but all 3 are also winners of X-F. Lucie has matched or surpassed everyone. 😊
What's Ironic, is when she went up the 1st time and tells Simon she is singing Whitney Houston's, I will always love you. Which is ignorant to the fact, the Original Artist of that song was written and sung by Dolly Parton, Whitney just only sings it as a cover song.
thank you for those videos!! it’s so lush xx I was wondering do you know what were the papers that the audience was holding up when they gave her a standing ovation??
@@NickButtie I was there too and it was actually just another audience member handing them out at the interval!!! Nothing to do with Lucie herself I don't think :)
NO NO NO - I Will Always Love You is NOT by Whitney Houston. Whitney Houston did sing it but I Will Always Love You is by Dolly Parton. Written and recorded by Dolly Parton in 1973.

She is soooo good.
THIS IS THE SONG THAT STARTED IT ALL IN X-FACTOR 2009.
She looks and sounds amazing 😍🥳🥳🥳🥳💃🏼
Ok shivers absolutely amazing Lucy

I always remember her audition on the X Factor singing this
Am so happy for lucy

These videos are amazing thank you!
No worries at all! I drove 4 hours to see her but I knew not everyone could make it to Cardiff so had to share them!
@@NickButtie amazing! Have we you got more to put on?

@@NickButtie ok no worries they are amazing! I went to Reading but we weren’t allowed to film anything as it was the venue policy 😔

Seriously it just does not get any better than this, even Whitney.
Dolly Parton wrote the song and set the benchmark.
❤❤❤❤
Girl done got Big!
Wow!!! That white girl can sing!!!!
And I say that with alot of respect!!!!

Whitney made it a hit.
thank you for those videos!! it’s so lush xx I was wondering do you know what were the papers that the audience was holding up when they gave her a standing ovation??
I believe that before every performance Lucie did a ticketed meet & greet and gave each person a piece of paper that said "We will always love you
@@NickButtie I was there too and it was actually just another audience member handing them out at the interval!!! Nothing to do with Lucie herself I don't think :)
Awe really? I love the dedication! Thank you for letting me know
Whitney Houston did not write the song. Dolly Parton wrote it.
It only says by Whitney because she's singing her ballad version.
@@NickButtie It's still Dolly's song no matter how you slice it or dice it. Dolly turned down Elvis on the song because he wanted to own it.
She is no whitney, but who is??
And she is Damn good!!!!
This is a crazy stat and little known fact. Dolly Parton wrote “I will always love you” and “Jolene”on the same day.
It' was written and first performed by Dolly Parton, not Whitney Houston!
Dolly wrote it, but Lucie is singing this in the ballad style of Whitney, not Dolly's country version.
Yes true that and dollys version is still one of the best
ls this the Lucie Jones that was on BGT ?
No she was on The X Factor in 2009.
I was wondering this myself. Greatly changed appearance. And not for the better.
@@paulsutton5896Are you serious? She looks amazing 🥳🥱🙄
@@paulsutton5896That’s a hateful comment and you should be ashamed of yourself for posting it.

Correct Dolly is the original artist but Lucie is singing Whitney's ballad version not Dolly's country version.
WoW! She changed so much since first auditioning 13 years ago. She's gained a lot of weight. IMO, no one can sing like WH no matter how they try.
she is actually pregnant in this video.
She is merely performing her own version of a Dolly Parton song, just the same as Houston did 🤡🥱🙄
