I totally get it - I'm often the same way with my cards, keeping it simple. Something like this is a fun way to look at all the pieces though -- just the milkshake on the front would make a great card. Or just the medallion with the sundae. Definitely consider each piece as a separate element that can be used independently for simpler cards :)
